The morning sun pierced through the dissipating fog, revealing the aftermath of chaos. The ZETU team cautiously approached a grassy clearing where a downed aircraft lay in shambles, its metallic carcass smoking and splintered. Surrounding it were dozens of zombies, their hollow eyes fixed on the wreckage. The air reeked of rot and burning fuel.

Captain Marcus Kane raised his fist, signaling the team to halt. "Eyes open. This looks too convenient to be random," he muttered, scanning the area with his shotgun at the ready.

"Definitely a trap," Sergeant Jenna 'Blaze' Hart whispered, gripping her flamethrower tightly. "Look at how they're just standing there. It's like they're waiting for something."

Ethan 'Brain' O'Connor crouched behind the group, fiddling with his drone controller. A small drone buzzed up into the air, sending live footage to his tablet. "Confirmed," he said. "There's movement inside the wreckage. Survivors, maybe... or worse."

From her elevated position atop a crumbled vehicle, Riley 'Quick Shot' Bennett adjusted her sniper rifle's scope. "I've got a visual on the interior. No heat signatures, but... wait. There's something glowing near the cockpit."

"Could be a power source," Detective Lila 'Huntress' Navarro chimed in, her voice steady despite the unease creeping into her tone. "If this is a setup, that might be the bait."

Kane nodded. "Alright, Shield, take point. Blaze, cover him. Quick Shot, keep the high ground. Huntress and Brain, you're with me. Let's move."

Derek 'Shield' Coleman stepped forward, his riot shield raised high. As he advanced, the zombies reacted, their lifeless forms lurching toward him with jerky movements. "Here we go," he growled, bracing himself as the first zombie collided with his shield.

Blaze unleashed a controlled burst of fire, engulfing the approaching undead in a wall of flames. "Keep pushing forward!" she yelled.

The team advanced steadily, forming a wedge that cut through the swarm. Kane fired his shotgun with precision, clearing a path to the wreckage. As they reached the crumpled remains of the fuselage, the glowing light became clearer—a pulsating orb embedded in the cockpit controls.

"That's not normal," Brain said, his eyes narrowing behind his glasses. "Looks like advanced tech. Way too advanced for a civilian aircraft."

Before Kane could respond, the orb emitted a high-pitched whine. The zombies surrounding them froze, their heads snapping toward the team in unison. Then, as one, they charged.

"Ambush!" Huntress shouted, firing her pistols at the oncoming horde.

"Brain, get that thing offline!" Kane barked.

"I'm on it!" Brain scrambled into the wreckage, typing furiously on his portable console. "Just keep them off me for sixty seconds!"

Blaze and Shield held the line at the entrance, flames and brute force repelling the swarm. Quick Shot picked off zombies from her perch, but the sheer number of attackers was overwhelming.

As Brain worked, the orb's glow intensified. "Whatever this is," he shouted, "it's broadcasting a signal. If I can't shut it down, we're going to have every zombie within a ten-mile radius on us!"

"Then shut it down faster!" Kane roared, unloading another shell into an advancing zombie.

The episode ends with the orb suddenly pulsing brighter, the screen going white. Will Brain succeed in stopping the device, or has the team stepped into a trap too deadly to escape?
