Chapter 670: Erin Ginger looked solemn

Daisy Ginger paused for a moment, then looked down at Erin Ginger.

"Hmm? Are you going to the museum tomorrow?"

Erin Ginger nodded, "Yes, I’m going."

The museum Erin Ginger mentioned is Banyan City Art Museum. A few days ago, an international art exhibition just arrived in Banyan City. After Daisy knew about it, she specifically asked him if he wanted to go see it.

But Erin clearly said he didn’t want to go out!

Daisy looked at him for a few seconds and pondered, "Then..."

"Museum? Which museum?" Michael Joyner asked quite eagerly, "I’m free tomorrow; I can accompany you to the museum too."

Daisy smiled at him, "Our kid is learning to paint and plans to visit the art museum."

"Then let me buy the tickets for you!"

Daisy did not refuse, "If you want to go, you can come with us."

"......" Erin pouted, glanced at Michael, and unhappily turned and went inside.

Michael watched Erin’s back and hesitated, "Does Erin not like me?"

"Haha, Erin is just shy around strangers," Daisy laughed and waved her hand, "I’ll go inside first; you should head back early too. See you tomorrow."

A beauty is a beauty; she’s enchanting even when not smiling, and when she does smile, she’s breathtaking beyond words.

Returning to his car, Michael was so excited he almost wanted to shout.

He called a friend, "Tomorrow I’m going to the art museum with Daisy Ginger, get me three VIP tickets quickly!"

"...Are you high school students?" his friend mercilessly teased, "Going to the museum for a date?"

"It’s to expose Erin to the arts."

"Ah, now it’s Erin. I’ve never seen someone such in a hurry to be a stepdad."

"What’s wrong with being a stepdad? And I get a cute son for free."

"Oh no, you’re crazy..."

From the phone, his friend made an agonized sound of disbelief.

...

Inside the house.

"Erin."

Daisy went over and looked at Erin sitting on the couch.

She pinched his cheek, "Not happy?"

Erin looked up at Daisy, "Mommy, do you like that man?"

"Which one?"

"The one at the door."

Daisy chuckled and pinched his nose, "He has a name. You shouldn’t be so impolite, you know?"

"Does mommy like him?"

"Isn’t he quite cute?"

Erin’s little face fell instantly. He couldn’t help but say, "Am I not cute?"

"Erin is way cuter."

"Then let’s not play with him in the future. Mommy just needs to look at me."

"Are you jealous?" Daisy genuinely found this surprising, and she ruffled her son’s round little cheeks with laughter.

Erin seriously corrected, "I’m not jealous."

"Uh-huh," Daisy didn’t believe him.

"I don’t like him," Erin told the truth.

"Wasn’t he nice to you? He even bought you ice cream."

"I don’t like him." He wasn’t someone to be bought over with just an ice cream!

Daisy simply sat down, taking a seat next to Erin, and leaned against him, turning her head to look at him.

"Then how does Erin want mommy to act?"

Erin pursed his lips and slowly lowered his head, "I don’t know."

Daisy hugged him close, "Mommy will eventually want to date too. When Erin grows up and has a girlfriend, mommy doesn’t want to be all alone."

Erin looked up, his eyes misty, with long eyelashes fluttering, words on the tip of his tongue.

Daisy ruffled his little head.

"We can’t keep living in the past," she softly told him, her tone gentle, "Mommy also wants to start anew. If the right person appears, I want to get to know them better."

Erin lowered his head, his voice muffled, "But... I don’t like him."

Daisy laughed, "Why don’t you like him?"

Michael Joyner...

He’s not ugly, right?

"He’s too dumb," Erin said seriously, "He doesn’t look smart."

Wow, this little smart guy even has an IQ prejudice?

Daisy laughed out loud.

She told Erin, "If you compare to yourself, you may find it hard to find a girlfriend in the future."

Besides, even though Michael looks... well, silly, she had been played around by clever people for so long that she almost developed a psychological shadow.

Finding someone a bit younger, a bit simpler, hmm... isn’t bad?

Daisy thought for a moment and surprisingly understood why those middle-aged men wanted to find young girls.

Because—easy to deceive!

She really hadn’t planned on getting deeply involved with Michael; it was just to pass the time, distract herself, and enjoy the feeling of being in a relationship.

After being fooled by Edward Stephens all these years, she was so down that she hadn’t even tried to meet any guys. What a waste with her youth and beauty!

That was Daisy’s thought, but it wasn’t how Erin saw it.

He thought Daisy was going to find him a stepdad dumber than James Shelton!

Dumber than James!

One James was annoying enough, and now another one? Wouldn’t he catch the idiocy bug?

Daisy’s guess was right; Erin indeed had a prejudice against low intelligence. After all, dealing with smart people was much more pleasant.

Like his daddy, who was very clever, just a little dumb in chasing mommy.

Erin wrinkled his nose, a bit displeased.

He really liked Edward Stephens; it’s just that if Daisy wanted to be with someone else, he couldn’t say no.

He didn’t want to be separated from Daisy...

He liked mommy far more than Edward Stephens.

Early the next morning, Michael Joyner drove over.

He had obviously put a lot of effort into dressing up, even sprayed some cologne, and on his way, he bought a bouquet of eucalyptus and roses from a nearby flower shop. As soon as Daisy opened the door, he handed over the bouquet.

"Miss Ginger, have you had breakfast?" As soon as he saw Daisy, his brain stopped working properly, and he began to stutter.

Daisy took the flowers and smiled at him, "I’ve eaten. How about you?"

Today, she wore light makeup, in a long-sleeve chiffon lace dress which didn’t reveal any brand, but each layer of lace fit her perfectly, just like the loose hair over her shoulders, so exquisite it was hard to look away.

Probably... beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

Michael’s heart was pounding. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

"I-I’ve eaten too."

Daisy looked at him, blinked, and from behind her, Erin squeezed out, creating a half-meter gap between her and the man in front.

Erin said, "Mommy, I can’t eat breakfast."

Daisy ruffled his hair and said warmly, "Then get ready, we’re going to see the art exhibition."

"Oh." Erin glanced at the third wheel in front of him, pouted, and with a low mood, turned back to the room.

Mommy spent an hour dressing up for a date with another man; if daddy found out, he’d be jealous for sure.

Erin looked solemn.
