Hold On Mr.! Your Sweetheart is a Real Queen-Chapter 598: Is your son cute?
Because of Daisy Ginger’s arrival, the hospital room became noticeably livelier.
Lady Stephens didn’t leave either, taking out the snacks she brought to amuse Erin Ginger, asking him if he wanted chocolate.
Edward Stephens watched as his own snacks were being used by Lady Stephens for favors, yet Erin Ginger was completely nonchalant; whatever Lady Stephens gave him, he ate, calling her "grandma" with every bite, making Lady Stephens beam with delight.
Daisy Ginger sat on the edge of the bed, watching Erin and Lady Stephens on the sofa watching TV. She lowered her gaze towards Edward, asking with a gentle smile, "Isn’t your son adorable?" 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
Edward couldn’t help but lift his head, scrutinizing the little figure on the sofa. The child had good genes, radiating rosy lips and pearly whites, with delicate features, surprisingly calm and collected since entering, remarkably obedient.
After observing for a while, he withdrew his gaze and stubbornly grunted, "...Just okay."
Daisy Ginger couldn’t help but want to laugh.
A gentle knock came from outside the door, it was Coco’s voice: "Mr. Stephens, your elder brother is here."
As soon as the words fell, the door lock clicked open.
A small figure hopped in from outside, and upon seeing Daisy Ginger, froze with fright.
Robert Stephens’s soft voice came through, "Edward, I’ve brought George over to see you."
Daisy stood up from the bedside, slowly lifting her head to look at the handsome man being wheeled in from outside.
His complexion was still sickly pale, thin lips and slender fingertips devoid of any blood color, with a soft cashmere blanket draped over his knees, exuding a clean and gentle aura.
If she hadn’t known about the lives he had taken, Daisy would have almost been bewitched by this man’s unique temperament, deeming him harmless.
She watched him without expression, quietly.
Robert lifted his head and slowly met her gaze.
The depths of his eyes slightly rippled; then, he smiled calmly, speaking leisurely, "You’re here too."
As if nothing had transpired between them, he maintained his calm demeanor, even his tone unchanged.
Daisy subtly tightened her fingers; her composure wasn’t as profound as his, unable to remain as unruffled.
If it weren’t for him, she and Edward wouldn’t have...
Beneath her eyes lay a trace of resentment.
"George," Robert addressed George Stephens, "Why are you just standing there? Go say hi to Dad."
George mumbled "Oh," dragging his feet to Edward’s side, tiptoeing and looking at him, "Dad, are you feeling better?"
Edward replied indifferently, "Mm."
Seemingly unsure of how to handle what followed, George after asking, turned instinctively, looking towards Robert, waiting for his next instruction.
Robert eyed George’s inept behavior, letting out a soft sigh, "Go find grandma to play with."
George, upon receiving orders, immediately scampered off.
With Robert’s arrival, the atmosphere grew somewhat tense. Daisy stood by the bed, staring directly at him, unspoken.
Ignoring her gaze, Robert wheeled himself over to Edward, gently inquiring, "How have you been feeling lately? Can you stand freely yet?"
His tone was gentle, like a brother caring for his most beloved sibling, making one irresistibly want to rely on him.
"Can’t manage without crutches yet," Edward answered, "Feeling about the same as last week."
Robert nodded, "Take your time, there’s no rush."
Daisy stood aside, emitting a low, cold scoff.
