Hogwarts: The Mafia Lord of Slytherin-Chapter 638: [] The Imperial Seal
Erwin’s lips curled into a smirk. "I see. Given your personality, you would have started a war with me long ago. The reason you’ve delayed is that your magical reserves are insufficient. Your chances of winning have diminished another tenfold!"
Emperor Zheng Qin’s face turned icy. The nonchalant demeanor he had worn earlier vanished completely. His tiger-like eyes narrowed, fixing intently on Erwin.
"Even if my power is diminished, I am still Emperor Zheng Qin!" he roared.
Black mist surged violently around the First Emperor. It condensed beneath his feet, flowing into the black dragon beneath him.
With the influx of dark magic, the dragon’s form thickened, its massive body blotting out the sky. Its previously lifeless eyes now blazed with murderous intent.
Erwin frowned. He waved his hand, and purple lotuses re-formed before him as a shield. His expression was solemn; he dared not underestimate his opponent.
Even if this Emperor Zheng Qin was an imposter, he bore the title of the First Emperor.
The black dragon charged directly at Erwin. Erwin swung his hand, and the purple lotus shield met the beast head-on.
However, the lotuses, which had previously held their own, were now shattered by the dragon’s overwhelming force. Blossoms disintegrated one by one.
Seeing this, Erwin raised his right hand, magical energy surging within his palm. A barrier manifested instantly.
The black dragon crashed into it with a deafening bang. Erwin’s face paled slightly, but the assault wasn’t over.
Missing its initial strike, the dragon lashed out with its tail, aiming for Erwin’s flank.
Erwin stood firm, raising his other hand to summon a second barrier. In the haste, the shield’s durability was insufficient. Under the full force of the attack, the barrier shattered.
Although it broke, the barrier absorbed most of the impact. The dragon’s tail slammed into Erwin, sending him flying.
He halted his momentum mid-air, a trickle of gold-tinted blood seeping from the corner of his mouth.
Emperor Zheng Qin frowned. "Golden blood? Your origin has actually evolved to this level?"
Erwin wiped the blood away with his thumb, his eyes locking onto Emperor Zheng Qin. "There are many things you haven’t considered!"
He raised his hands, and a fierce wind swept across the sea. Waterspouts materialized from the depths, swirling around him.
Erwin flicked his finger. "Go!"
The waterspouts roared toward Emperor Zheng Qin. The First Emperor reacted instantly, commanding the black dragon beneath his feet to weave through the chaotic currents, attempting to evade the encirclement.
Erwin’s meticulous preparation allowed for no escape. Through the gaps in the spiraling water, lotus flowers appeared out of nowhere, blocking Emperor Zheng Qin’s path.
They weren’t particularly powerful, but Emperor Zheng Qin dared not destroy them easily. He could sense the energy linking them all—destroying a lotus would trigger a catastrophic explosion capable of overwhelming even him.
Erwin’s hand trembled slightly. The energy consumption was immense. Even with his magical reserves, the toll was heavy.
He slammed his palm downward.
"Suppress!"
The waterspouts began to compress inward, squeezing Emperor Zheng Qin’s living space. The First Emperor’s expression turned solemn.
It seemed he had reached a dead end.
Just then, Emperor Zheng Qin waved his hand. A square piece of jade appeared in his grasp—the famous He Shi Bi, the Imperial Seal.
Unlike the flawed imitations recorded in later generations, this Imperial Seal was whole.
Erwin’s pupils constricted. "As expected, the Imperial Seal has always been in your hands!"
"I am the Mandate of Heaven!" Emperor Zheng Qin replied coldly. "Only I can possess the Imperial Seal. If not for the sake of development, the others wouldn’t even deserve a fake!"
As he spoke, Emperor Zheng Qin tossed the Imperial Seal into the air. Golden light radiated from the artifact, and two lines of large characters appeared in the air:
By the Mandate of Heaven, may your reign be long and prosperous!
Erwin murmured the words softly. A waterspout surged toward Emperor Zheng Qin, but it was blocked by the eight golden characters, unable to advance an inch.
Meanwhile, on the battlefield, the appearance of the Imperial Seal empowered the Qin forces with an inexplicable force.
On the Kunlun battlefield, the Kunlun leader was swept away by Basil Bai’s sword, crashing heavily to the ground.
"I feel like he’s suddenly become so much stronger!" the leader gasped. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
Several Kunlun elders appeared, blocking Basil Bai’s next attack. "The only thing capable of such a boost is the Imperial Seal," one elder said. "Legend states it was always in the First Emperor’s hands; what circulated were fakes. It possesses unfathomable abilities—a true treasure."
As the elder finished speaking, a figure crashed heavily to the ground beside him.
"Old Li, how are you?"
The elder spat dirt from his mouth. "Stop chatting! You’ll all die soon! Hurry up! Basil Bai has gone berserk! Attack together and stop him! If you survive today, you can discipline your own disciples!"
Old Li clapped his hands, soaring into the air. A massive halberd appeared in his hand, which he hurled at Basil Bai.
The Kunlun Sect Leader and the Supreme Elder didn’t dare delay, rushing toward Basil Bai to join the fray.
Similar scenes unfolded across several battlefields. However, no one expected the most brutal battlefield to be neither the one where Basil Bai fought nor where Julian Wang battled.
Instead, it was the smallest one—the clash between Marcus Sima, the Death Eaters, and the British pure-bloods.
