Arissa and Nicklaus lay in bed together, exhausted after their activity on the bed. Their legs tangled under the sheets and just as Arissa had wished, their naked bodies collided under the sheets and she loved the soothing sensation that came with it.

She snuggled more into Nicklaus’s arms feeling sore in between her legs. Nicklaus wrapped his arms around her waist and held her firmly before running his hand through her silky hair.

Arissa shut her eyes in the feeling of the moment and began to draw the heart shapes on his ripped chest. She wrapped her long legs around him more and shut her eyes tiredly.

She enjoyed what they just shared. The moment shared between them can’t be matched to any sex they have ever had. The feeling of this sex came with much peace and certainty.

Unlike before, she wasn’t so panicked about having his seeds wash down the walls of her womb. She loved the idea of bringing in a new member of the family. Also, Nicklaus made love to her this time in the most euphoric way that she had ever imagined.

He made this day more special with the love he showered on her body. Not even a strand of her hair was left out in his sexy adoration.

She felt the ring on her finger and blinked in disbelief at how far her marriage had come. She hates to say this but she feels grateful to her parents at this point. Their involvement in her life fastened her chances of knowing Nicklaus.

She feared she wouldn’t have met him if it hadn’t been for their help. She also appreciated Nicklaus’s hard work and was grateful for the fact he never gave up on her.

Resting her head on him, she shut her eyes and said a brief prayer. She inwardly reminded God that she also deserved to be happy and now she finally found that happiness, that he should help her preserve it and wave all rocks and blow away.

Nicklaus stared down at the woman in his embrace. Honorably, he admired her body from her waist upward that was open to his view, and forayed into deep thoughts.

He had to admit he fears for the future. He fears what would happen if the higger ups find out about his involvement that got Alfred into prison. He feared not for himself but for Arissa.

He can handle the higher ups but how about her? Can she take it? Would she decide to leave if she found him slacking in one area where he had to protect her? Would she feel threatened by the higher-up’s constant trial?

At these thoughts, he rubbed his hand on her back with all affection before dropping a kiss on her hair. He continued rubbing her back and placed more deep kisses.

Thoughts of his mother’s betrayal visited his memory also and then, each kiss he placed on Arissa’s hair carried lots of emotions in them.

Arissa ended up giving him a tight hug. From the kisses he granted upon her, she felt some rough emotions from them.

She can’t specifically say what he was thinking or what he could be planning on but she felt him having a rough time with his mind and could only indirectly communicate with her through the kiss.

Nicklaus’s body trembled when she hugged him. The sudden hug she gave to him provided him with all the comfort he needed. It stunned him so much that he had to part his lips slightly to breathe without much difficulty.

"Nick," Arissa called him when he trembled so much in her hold, "You don’t have to fight them all alone. Whatever feeling you’re having now or whatever memory you’re facing, don’t face them alone, lest they overshadow you," she parted the hug and sat on the bed.

Nicklaus tried to look away from her but she held both sides of his face and continued, "When I said I am here for you, I never spoke about your good days alone. I’m here for you all the days of your life and it involves your bad days. Let me know what hurts you and even if it would crumble me, I won’t mind because, in the end, we still have each other, right?" she wiggled her brow at him, casting a soft encouraging gaze at him.

Nicklaus stared into her eyes and nodded, "Right," he agreed.

"Calm down," she advised after taking his hand and found him trembling a little. His temperature also ran a bit higher than usual.

Arissa frowned and felt his forehead with her palm. His forehead ran a higger temperature than his hand and he began to sweat profusely.

She became confused. He was okay a while ago and made sure to hit her deep down to her womb with so much strength. While they had sex, he never looked sick so what’s happening?

Nicklaus noticed her reaction and cursed out at himself in his mind, realizing how fast his dark memories covered him. "I’m sorry," he said to confused Arissa.

Arissa took her eyes off the hand she had been staring hard on and met his eyes, "You’re sorry about what?"

Nicklaus parted his lips and drew in a sharp breath to control his reactions to his dark memories. He does not wish to disturb Arissa with them as they would affect his body temperature each time they resurface.

His eyes burned when he began to see the blurred images of what happened that fateful day replaying above him. He regretted overthinking.

Arissa rubbed Nicklaus’s forehead, pushing the hair strands away, "Are you okay?" she tried not to panic but her voice sold her off.

Panic filled her voice and made it tremble. Nicklaus clenched his free fist and cursed at himself for making her feel that way.

He managed to part his eyes. Parting them, he gave her the coolest ’I’m okay’ smile he could force out.

"Just stay beside me, not just this night but forever and I’ll be fine," he added.
