Chapter 79: More hate

Selena’s hand was stuck in the air because Marco suddenly appeared from an unexpected direction and stopped her from landing his hand on Gina’s face.

Realizing that someone was protecting Gina made Selena’s anger grow.

"Free!!"

"Sorry Miss."

Selena growled. "Damn servant, quickly let go of my hand!!"

Selena’s last scream brought Barbara to her senses, the old woman gently touched Marco’s shoulder asking him to let go of Selena’s hand.

Marco released his hand from Selena’s hand, but the second Marco let go of his hand, that second Selena again used her other hand to hurt Gina.

Plak...

A loud slap from Barbara sounded deafening as the woman managed to fend off Selena’s hand and quickly slap her granddaughter in the face. Selena herself was only able to remain silent while looking down when she felt the heat on her left cheek due to her grandmother’s unexpected slap.

"Where’s your manners, Selena?! Why did you suddenly come to make a fuss and immediately want to hurt Gina? What did Gina do to you that you wanted to hurt, huh?"

Selena immediately lifted her face and looked at her grandmother with eyes that were already red, as red as her cheeks, which were now stained with her grandmother’s palms. "Ever since this child came to the house all problems have arisen one by one, starting from Mommy and Daddy’s love for her. Until finally Diego was kicked out of the house and Diego was not recognized as part of this family all because of this child, if she didn’t come maybe all this chaos would never have happened."

"Selena Flor Sandres!!"

Selena’s face turned pale when she heard the screams of a man she knew very well.

Yohanes Sanders’ loud, firm baritone rang out in the front yard, where Selena’s commotion was going on. Even though the man is no longer young, his aura and firmness still intimidate anyone, including Selena who subconsciously took a step back when she saw her grandfather walking quickly towards her.

Marco politely lowered his face, paying homage to his master.

"Where’s the etiquette lesson you got over the years, Selena? After days of not coming home then today you came in your car making noise and now you’re standing cursing your sister in front of all these people. The longer it takes. You look more and more like a barbarian girl who doesn’t know the rules, Selena. Is this what your mother taught you?"

"Grandpa-"

"If you still want to live in this house then you have to obey the rules that have been set, unless you want to leave this place then you don’t have to obey everything," said Yohanes again, cutting Selena’s words that were already dead.

Selena, who was already looking down, lowered her head even more when she heard the ramblings of her grandfather, the most arrogant man in the whole world. Always being threatened with expulsion made Selena uncomfortable, it seemed her patience line had run out today.

"So it’s true what Diego said, you guys intentionally removed his name from this family list just because you wanted to make this child the sole heir, right?! Now Grandpa is also blaming me for this mess, Grandpa doesn’t realize that the source of this mess is her!!" Selena’s loud scream was clearly heard as she spoke while pointing at Gina’s face full of hatred. "I didn’t believe Diego at first, but after what happened today I believed her. It turns out that Grandma and Grandpa don’t want us anymore, sob... I hate you... I hate..."

Selena immediately ran quickly towards the door. inside the house, leaving everyone with tears in their eyes.

Yohanes took a deep breath, he then touched his wife’s waist gently. "You’re all right, aren’t you?"

"Yeah, I’m fine. But I don’t think so with someone," Barbara replied quietly, glancing at Gina who was still staring at Selena.

Yohanes Sandres smiled, suddenly he moved his hand and touched Gina’s hair gently. It’s really not Yohanes’s time to do such a thing.

"Are you all right?" he asked Gina quietly.

Like a small child Gina immediately nodded her head quickly, Gina’s adorable attitude made Barbara and Yohanes smile amused. They hadn’t felt like this in a long time.

"Well then, can Grandpa borrow Grandma now?"

Gina’s brows furrowed. "What does it mean?"

Barbara patted her husband’s shoulder gently. "You love to tease her, okay let’s talk."

Yohannes Sanders smiled again at his wife’s words, not long after that the husband and wife left Gina and Marco who had been silent for a long time.

"Looks like your relationship is starting to get better," Marco said suddenly.

"What? What were you talking about, Marco?" Gina stammered.

Marco shook his head with an annoying smile. "No, I didn’t say anything."

"Marco!!" Gina growled with emotion.

"What? Where did I go wrong? Why are you angry?"

Gina looked Marco up and down, she remembered what Marco had done a while ago. If Marco wasn’t there, she might have felt the heat of Selena’s hand by now.

"I just wanted to say thank you," Gina answered quietly.

"Eh?!"

Gina smiled. "Earlier when you pushed Selena’s hand away, if you hadn’t blocked it, my face might already have traces of her hand."

"It’s no big deal," Marco answered curtly in fluent English, a big thing that Gina hadn’t realized yet.

Gina also smiled her sweet smile, since her status was inaugurated, Gina smiled a lot. A big change from Gina who has rarely smiled, it seems that mood swings really really affect her mood.

"Oh yeah, you haven’t been going anywhere for a few days. Have you been fired, Gina?" Marco asked curiously.

"Well, I’m not fired. But my boss has been on vacation with her new boyfriend and her daughter in Madrid since three days ago," Gina replied, annoyed. "Actually I’m tired of being at home too, doing nothing like this."

"Oh I see, it’s only right that you’ve been at home these few days," Marco said quietly.

"Yeah, that’s it," said Gina frustratedly, throwing food at the fish in the pond.

"If I took you somewhere would you like it, Gina?" Marco asked again.

Gina immediately looked up at Marco. "Go where?"

"You’ll know when we get there," Marco replied with a smile.

"But I... okay. What time?"

Marco smiled widely. "Four in the afternoon."

"Deal." Gina immediately held out her pinky finger to Marco to tie the knot.

Marco immediately hooked his pinky on Gina’s finger. "Deal."

Gina smiled again, she who knew nothing was happy with the friendship that Marco offered. Meanwhile, from her room, Selena could clearly see what Gina was doing with Marco in the park, her anger was getting bigger when she saw Gina laughing out loud.

"No, you won’t laugh that long, Gina. Enjoy your happiness while you can, because when the time comes you’ll be crying blood," Selena growled hatefully with her fists clenched. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺

As Gina smiled at Marco’s words, Marco slowly checked his cell phone which had just received a message that someone had sent. The message that said ’good job’ made Marco even more excited to take Gina out of the house for a while.
