Chapter 67: Because Francia

As long as Gina worked to serve Francia’s buyers, she didn’t take her eyes off her, almost all the questions that Francia gave, none of which Gina answered. Because of that, Francia is very upset with her at this time, her frustration is increasing because she can’t do anything because there are still many customers who come and go to their shop.

"My stock of patience is running out, just so you know, Gina," Francia said curtly at Gina who was drinking her favorite strawberry milkshake.

Gina, who already knew what Francia meant by pretending to be stupid, continued to enjoy her drink quietly.

"Gina!!"

"What?"

Francia growled. "You seem to want to see me really angry, don’t you?!"

Gina chuckled. "Don’t be angry, you’ll get old quickly. Look at those wrinkles on your face."

Francia reflexively touched her face as soon as Gina mentioned wrinkles.

"You promised to tell me everything this morning when we opened the shop and now it’s past lunchtime, but you still haven’t told me everything. Do you really want to tell me or not?" asked Francia curtly.

"I’m actually lazy, because honestly telling me what happened at home makes me angry. No one is really sincere to me," Gina said quietly.

"Nothing sincere about you? Didn’t you say yesterday that your grandmother was very nice?"

Gina nodded her head slowly. "Indeed, Grandma was kind to me. It’s just that her treatment wasn’t really sincere, she repeatedly told me that what she was doing now was an atonement for all that she had done to my late mother. Then wouldn’t it be the same as not being sincere? me, huh?"

Francia gripped her glass tightly. "Gina..."

"If they want to make amends for my late mother, shouldn’t they come to her grave and apologize in person, right? Not like this?"

Francia put her glass on the table and approached Gina who was sitting on the floor. "Don’t think too far."

"It’s not like that, sometimes I feel my presence is unwanted by them. Even my biological father, deliberately making out with his wife right in front of my eyes, Francia. He really said he appreciated my late mother." Gina’s voice trembled slightly as she discussed what Julian did last night.

"Gina, one thing you should know is that your mother is now very happy up there. No burden, no pain, no sadness. So don’t think like that, what your father did to his wife in front of your eyes might be wrong but they are legal husband and wife. Husband and wife blessed by God, so you can’t blame them. If you want to see them like that then the only way is to stay away from them and stay outside like before, "Francia said softly trying to advised Gina. "I know it’s not easy but you have to get used to seeing their affection, it’s one of the consequences of you living with stepmother."

Gina bit her lower lip hard to hold back tears, she didn’t want to cry again like last night.

"What you’re going through right now is a gamble on mental strength, Gina. Honestly if I were in that position I probably wouldn’t be strong, but this is your choice. From the start you’ve decided to stay with them so you can’t back down anymore. , what you can do is survive against them or give up getting out of the house," added Francia again. "What you’re facing right now is nothing, Gina. You still have two stepsisters and a half-sister that you have to deal with, all choices are yours. Take it or leave it."

Gina lowered her head deeply, Francia’s words were so imprinted on her at this moment.

"I’m sure everything your mother did back then was part of her plan to prepare you for all of this, which means your mother already knew you were going to be in a situation like this so she asked you to take Spanish seriously from a young age, didn’t she?"

"I also had time to think in that direction, Francia. All the questions that had been lodged in my head were finally answered when I found out about the real life story of my parents," Gina answered hoarsely.

"Well that’s the answer, it means your mother really wants you to be a strong Gina, a Gina who is not a crybaby, a Gina who is not easily bullied. That’s why you have to show your late mother that you can do everything she wants, you can get through all of this. If in the past your mother lost because of circumstances, then now is your time to control the situation, Gina," said Francia again.

Gina slowly lifted her downcast face and suddenly she hugged Francia tightly. "Thank you Francia, thank you. I don’t know what else to say other than thank you, I really don’t know what to do Francia."

Francia smiled. "That’s what friends are for, you can share your stories with them."

Gina tightened her grip on Francia’s body, causing Francia to be in pain, but the ignorant Gina had no intention of letting go of her hug from the boss’s body. Gina had just released her arms from Francia’s body when Francia slapped her on the back.

"You’re so annoying, sorry I gave you input," Francia grumbled annoyed.

Seeing the boss sulking, Gina actually laughed amusedly, she was very happy to see her chatty boss again nagging. After four days off from work the first thing Gina wanted to do was annoy the boss.

Because it was late in the afternoon, Francia closed the shop even though there were still some leftover chicken that had not been sold, she always operated her shop according to the schedule of opening and closing, therefore at this time she invited Gina to go home.

"There are still a few pieces, don’t you mind if we close?" Gina asked quietly.

Francia smiled. "There are other food stalls in this area, so even if my shop is closed the shoppers can look for food from other places. And for these chickens I have a better plan."

Gina raised an eyebrow. "Good plan? What do you mean?"

"You’ll find out in a moment, let’s lock quickly. Don’t be slow, Gina."

"Patient!!"

Francia chuckled, this was the first time Francia really felt comfortable having an employee. Although sometimes Gina is annoying, but Francia feels happy to have employees like her. After making sure the shop was really locked, Francia then took Gina to walk towards the park which was starting to get crowded. Usually every afternoon like this the park will be filled with visitors of all ages.

When they almost reached their destination, Francia suddenly stopped her steps and pulled Gina’s hand so tightly that it made Gina wince in pain.

"It hurts Francia, don’t take my hand."

"Where are you taking me, actually?"

"Francia!!"

Gina who couldn’t wait immediately snapped at Francia who continued to drag her away to the shopping area around the park which was already deserted.

"Don’t make noise, just come along," said Francia curtly.

Gina scowled. "Yeah, but don’t pull my hand like this. It hurts."

"Shhh shut up!"

"If you weren’t my boss you might have been me..."

Gina’s words stopped when she saw two puppies running towards them, even Francia immediately crouched down when the two puppies approached her.

"Don’t tell me you want to feed them, okay?" Gina said in a low, half-whispered voice.

Francia opened the chicken holder that she had brought. "Indeed, I gave them the chickens that didn’t sell out."

"Jesus, this is illegal, Francia. You could be arrested for feeding wild animals," Gina said quickly.

"They’re just dogs, where there are wild animals," said Francia flatly.

"They’re stray dogs with no owner and you know what the punishment is for someone who deliberately feeds wild animals like this? You could be sued by Francia."

Francia immediately turned to Gina quickly. "I know, that’s why we have to do this quietly so no one finds out."

Gina immediately patted her forehead which was in pain, talking to Francia really couldn’t win. When Francia was feeding the dogs Gina chose to be on guard, paying close attention to her surroundings so that no one would see them at this time. The regulations on wild animals in Barcelona are a bit strict, especially in areas frequented by tourists, so if someone is caught intentionally feeding wild animals like that, they will be dealt with firmly. Because of that Gina was annoyed with what Francia was doing at this time.

And Gina’s feeling this time was proven, because from behind them suddenly there were two policemen who immediately sounded their whistles while pointing their sticks at Gina and Francia. The puppies who were eating the chicken given by Francia

immediately ran, hiding themselves when they heard a very loud whistle.

"Francia run .."

Gina immediately grabbed Francia’s hand and immediately ran away from the place avoiding the pursuit of the two policemen who were chasing them, fortunately at this time both Gina and Francia were wearing sneakers so they had no trouble running.

"It’s your fault!!" Gina said annoyed at Francia who was holding her hands tightly.

Francia chuckled. "It’s not me, it’s the cops’ fault. Why are they after us when there really isn’t anything else to do."

"It’s hard to talk to you, let’s just run!"

Francia nodded her head quickly and ran to avoid the approaching police, actually Gina could run faster today, but because she was holding Francia’s hand, her running speed was slightly reduced.

"Stop," one of the policemen shouted loudly.

"No don’t stop, we’ll be jailed if we stop," Francia said quietly to Gina.

Gina scowled. "Yes and it’s your fault!"

"Ish you..."

Dorr

"Akhhh"

Francia screamed loudly when suddenly one of the policemen gave a warning shot and not only that, Francia even crouched down in fear.

"Francia, let’s go...

Gina stopped her speech when suddenly a car came and stopped right behind the two of them.

Not to mention the tension Gina suddenly opened the car door. "Come in!"

Without thinking Francia got into the car, but Gina who felt uncomfortable with the people in the car chose to keep running.

"Gin..."

"Let her go if that’s what she wants, let’s go. I’m not going to deal with these policemen." A young man sitting in the front seat cut off Francia’s words immediately.

Not long after that the car rushed away from the place just as the two policemen who were teaching almost touched the car, while Gina was still running towards the crowd of people
