His soul-Chapter 607: Lucas’s proposal

"You’re so annoying!" Selena said annoyed for the umpteenth time to Lucas who was driving her to the office.

Lucas pursed his lips. "Annoying how?"

"You’re annoying because you made an appointment with Massimo first without me knowing," said Selena curtly.

Lucas stopped his car right in front of the lobby of Paradise Grub, the Sanders family office. Slowly he turned to Selena with a smile that made him so handsome. "Is it wrong if I ask him permission first?"

"Luke..."

"I don’t want any more misunderstandings with Massimo, that’s why I have to ask his permission. Moreover, the girl I’m trying to get close to is one of his sister-in-law," Lucas explained again. "I still want to enjoy life longer with you Selena."

Selena’s cheeks felt hot, Lucas’ words immediately made her chest rumble.

"You want to start over with me, don’t you, Selena?"

"W..what do you mean?"

Instead of answering Selena’s words, Lucas slowly grabbed Selena’s hand and squeezed it gently. "I want to start a relationship with you again, with no hidden goals like we did ten years ago. Would you give me that chance, Selena?"

Selena’s head felt heavy, the unexpected words that just slipped from Lucas’ lips made her almost faint. Luckily, Selena still had some strength left to keep her awake.

"You don’t want to, do you?" Lucas immediately answered the question he previously asked Selena, Lucas slowly released his grip on Selena’s hand. "Sorry, I should have known that you definitely wouldn’t accept a guy with such a bad past like me. Then it would be better..."

"Who said that?"

"Eh?"

"Who said I didn’t accept you for seeing your past?" Selena repeated Lucas’ words in a trembling voice, her head bowed as she spoke. Selena didn’t have the courage to look Lucas in the eye as she spoke.

Lucas gasped. "W..what are you talking about, Selena?"

Selena who was still so embarrassed suddenly opened the door and immediately got out of the car Lucas was driving without a word, seeing Selena who suddenly left like that made Lucas silent for a while before he finally laughed out loud. Selena’s shy attitude made her nervous, at a glance she was reminded of Gina’s adorable attitude that made him fall in love with her ten years ago.

Not wanting to annoy Selena even more, Lucas chose to continue his journey to his new office which he had only occupied for the past month. Starting a new business in Barcelona made Lucas have to be focused and disciplined, so he still chose to go to the office early in the morning even though he was the owner of the company.

Arriving at the room, Selena immediately finished one glass of water on her desk in one gulp. Running from the elevator to her room made her throat feel so dry and sore, plus the pounding that was now attacking her chest. There was such a strange feeling that she was currently whacking her, a feeling she had never felt before. Even with her first love getting her chastity, Selena has never felt this strange.

"What’s the matter with me, what is this feeling, Lord?" Selena said softly with her cheeks flushed red, her brain replaying Lucas’ words a moment ago.

While she was trying to normalize her heartbeat, which was racing so fast, Selena was suddenly startled by a loud ringing sound from her cell phone. Selena hastily grabbed her cell phone from the bag on the table, her eyes widened when she saw Lucas’ name appear on the screen. However, because she was staring at her cell phone screen for too long, Lucas’ calls finally stopped. Selena was still so surprised by Lucas’ attack that was so fast.

Suddenly Selena’s phone rang again, notification of an incoming message.

With a little hesitation, Selena opened a message that came from a number that had not been saved in her phone contacts, Selena’s eyes almost fell out of her eye sockets when she saw who sent her a message.

’I know you definitely won’t want to take my calls, but that’s okay. I get it, I won’t force it. I just wanted to let you know that I was serious about what I said earlier, Selena. I want to start from scratch with you, I want us to have a happy family like Gina and Massimo... I know it’s too soon, I know it’s also too hasty but believe me if what I say is really sincere from the bottom of my heart . I want to build a happy family with you Selena Flor Sanders....Lucas Dominic.’

Selena actually almost dropped her phone on the floor when she finished reading Lucas’ message.

Because her legs felt weak, Selena then landed her buttocks roughly on the chair. The cellphone in her hand fell to the table, the cellphone screen still displayed a message that Lucas sent through a different number which of course was not stored in her cellphone.

Selena’s turmoil did not last long because Julian appeared in a hurry with a pile of files that Selena had to take care of as soon as possible. Julian’s intention to open his lips was immediately stopped when he realized something was wrong with Selena.

"Honey," said Julian quietly. "What happened to you?"

Selena immediately gasped in surprise when she saw her father suddenly standing in front of her.

"You are sick?" Julian repeated his question.

Selena who was so confused then immediately got up from her chair and immediately hugged her father tightly. Julian who didn’t know anything looked panicked when he saw Selena suddenly hug him like that.

"What are you doing, honey? Is anyone bothering you?"

Serena shook her head slowly.

"If not then why? Answer Daddy’s questions, honey. Don’t confuse Daddy, Daddy doesn’t know what to do."

Selena slowly released her arms from her father’s body, her green eyes that were already filled with tears stared at her father sadly.

Julian touched Selena’s cheek gently. "What’s the matter, honey? You’re not having a fight with Gina or Massimo, are you?"

"L..Lucas proposed to me, Dad," Selena said quietly, slightly stuttering.

Because Selena’s words were too soft, Julian couldn’t hear her clearly. "W..what, what are you talking about? Daddy didn’t hear it clearly."

Selena wiped away the tears that suddenly broke through her defensive wall. "Lucas, Lucas Dom proposed to me, Dad," Selena said back. "He said he wanted to start a family with me like Gina and Massimo."

"Lucas Dom, this Lucas Dom you’re talking about is your ex-boyfriend who used to be close to Gina and Massimo right?" asked Julian quietly, Julian who knew about the fight between Massimo and Lucas a few years ago looked normal when Selena told him about what Lucas said earlier.

Serena nodded slowly. "Yeah, that Lucas Dom."

"You love him? Oh no. Did you still want to take him back?"
