His soul-Chapter 56: Be good mother
Gina’s arrival immediately made everyone in the Sanders family’s house excited, all the servants talked about it until finally the news reached Diego who had just returned home with his beautiful fiancé Kiara Hale, the top Spanish model who was on the rise.
"Gina, who is Gina, Diego?"
Diego clenched his fists tightly. "My Daddy’s illegitimate child."
Kiara Hale raised one eyebrow. "Bastard? Since when? Why didn’t you tell me about this, Diego?"
Diego immediately turned to Kiara with a disapproving face. "How important do you think she is that I have to tell everyone about her whereabouts, huh?"
"N-no, that’s not what I meant Diego. I just..."
"Never mind, I’m tired." Diego cut Kiara’s words out of emotion, Diego again remembered the last words Gina said to him a few days ago.
Kiara nodded her head, she then followed Diego’s steps into the house. When they arrived at the family room, the lovers were surprised to find their grandfather sitting in his oversized chair with his father and best friend, Patrick. Diego bowed his head slightly to pay respect to his grandfather, as well as Kiara who immediately put on the sweetest smile. Just about to walk to the stairs suddenly heard Selena and Rosa screaming from the front door, the two girls shouted loudly saying their father’s name.
"Daddy, why did you take the child home?"
"Didn’t we agree not to let the illegitimate child go home? Then why did you take her home?"
Julian’s jaw tightened when he heard his youngest daughter’s scream calling Gina an illegitimate child.
"Watch your words, Gina is your sister. Don’t talk carelessly." Vanessa’s voice faintly echoed Selena and Rosa’s words.
"Mom..don’t defend her."
The voice that answered between Vanessa and her two daughters was getting clearer because they were already in the house, the two girls immediately walked quickly trying to talk to their father who had brought Gina home. The two of them immediately stopped when they saw the existence of the grandfather who was sitting quietly in his oversized chair, not far from his father who was now wearing an angry face.
"Grandpa..."
"If you two want to protest why your father brought Gina home, Grandpa won’t listen." Yohanes opened his mouth as soon as Rosa called him.
Selena, who had managed to neutralize her breath after running, gently patted her sister’s shoulder. "S-so what the maids said was true? Daddy really brought that kid home?"
"Her name is Gina, Georgina. Not ’that kid’, Selena. She’s your sister, give her some respect." Vanessa, who had just entered, immediately answered Selena’s words in a two octave up tone, warning her.
"Mom, come on.."
"What your mother said is true, Gina is your sister. Be a little polite to her." Barbara, who had just come out of the guest room after taking Gina to rest, also spoke to warn Selena. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
Everyone in the room spontaneously turned their heads towards Barbara, Patrick who had great respect for the old woman immediately got up from his chair and helped her to sit down. Seeing that sight Diego smiled sinisterly, his hatred for Patrick rose by 200% at this point.
After sitting in her chair, Barbara placed the small bowl she had brought from Gina’s room on the table carefully. "Gina is sick, she needs peace. That’s why you don’t mess around."
"Sick? Just take her to the hospital, not take her home. After all, this house is a social institution that accommodates people..."
"Rosaline Brinet Sanders! Watch your words! Gina is my daughter, the child of my legal marriage before I married your mother. She is nobody else, she is part of this family. So if she stays in this house then it is her right and no one can stop her, once again Daddy hears you saying disrespectful words to her then don’t blame Daddy if Daddy’s going to put you in a nun’s school," shouted Julian furiously.
Rosa’s face immediately paled when her courage level immediately fell to the deepest point when she heard threats from her father who wanted to send her to a nun school. Seeing her distressed daughter Vanessa move fast, she braced herself for her youngest daughter who started crying.
"Don’t like to threaten children like that, Julian. Didn’t we agree not to force her into that school," Vanessa said softly as she tightened her arms on Rosa’s body, which was shaking violently.
"She’s gone too wild and the best option is to put her in that school," said Julian coldly.
"Y-you..."
Vanessa’s words were interrupted when she saw the code from her mother-in-law.
"Don’t mind Julian, I’m not going to let Rosa into that school either. You take it easy," she said wisely, a genuine, loving smile on Barbara’s face as she spoke.
Rosa, who was in her mother’s arms, immediately rushed to her grandmother and burst into tears in her grandmother’s arms, as usual when her father threatened her to send her to a special school for prospective nuns. Rosa would ask for protection from her grandmother.
Selena who had been a spectator since then stomped her feet hard on the floor before she finally went down the stairs to go up to her room on the second floor, when Selena passed Diego and his beautiful fiancé the girl rolled her eyes which was a code for her brother. Diego, who understood the code given to him by his beloved sister, followed her up to the second floor with Kiara, whose hand he had been holding tightly since earlier, leaving the mess caused by Gina, the illegitimate child they had hated ever since they found out about her existence.
Because Rosa had calmed down, Barbara let go of the spoiled girl and gave her a warm kiss on the forehead. "It’s ok, now you rest, we’ll meet later at dinner."
Rosa nodded her head slowly. "Okay Grandma."
Rosa slowly got up from the chair occupied by the grandmother and walked quickly towards the stairs to go up to the second floor, Rosa did not rebuke her father who she had just passed. It seemed that at this time Rosa was really angry with her father, seeing the attitude of Patrick’s best friend’s youngest daughter, he immediately embraced Julian.
"Your daughter who is very similar to you, bro. Her rebellious attitude is really well inherited from you," he said softly teasing Julian.
Julian removed Patrick’s hand from his shoulder. "Rosa is not like me, she is because she is too pampered."
"Julian."
"Can’t you talk calmly? Do you still want to continue this debate? Yohanes interrupted Vanessa’s words, who was about to reply to Julian. "As Barbara said before, Gina is currently sick. She needs some rest to heal her injured eyes because..."
"For being on the streets looking for work too long." Patrick immediately cut off Yohanes’s words quickly without any guilt.
"Jesus!!! Are you serious, Patrick?" Vanessa screamed hysterically with her hands covering her mouth.
