His soul-Chapter 536: Punishment for Massimo
Stunned by such great panic, Diego immediately pulled the trigger of the gun he had taken hastily from under his clothes towards Massimo’s left chest. Massimo, who didn’t think that Diego had a gun in his body couldn’t dodge so the bullet that came out of Diego’s gun managed to penetrate Massimo’s left chest.
"Massimo!" Gina’s scream immediately boomed, startling everyone including Diego, who was still pointing his gun at Massimo who had fallen.
Gina, who refuses to be asked to go by Rosa and Selena, chooses to follow Diego into the yard, fearing that she will lose her father, which makes Gina see Massimo lying down after being shot by the gun Diego was holding. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
Martin who was standing behind Massimo immediately moved, approaching Massimo who fell on his face. Meanwhile, the other bodyguards immediately moved towards Diego. They tried to immobilize Diego who was still carrying a gun. Even though Diego was holding a gun, because he was outnumbered, Diego finally managed to be paralyzed even though he continued to struggle, trying to escape from the clutches of Massimo’s men.
From where she was standing, Gina could clearly see Massimo’s blood was pouring out. With unavoidable steps, Gina tried to approach Massimo. Gina wanted to see Massimo’s condition. But when they almost arrived at Massimo’s place, which was being surrounded by Martin and the rest of his men, suddenly Gina’s steps were stopped by Julian who was blocking her way.
"Daddy," Gina said hoarsely.
Instead of responding to Gina’s words, Julian immediately grabbed Gina’s hand and gripped it tightly. "You don’t have to look at his condition, Gina."
"Daddy..."
"Charlie!"
Charlie, who had been silent all this time, immediately approached Julian. "The car is ready, sir."
Julian nodded slowly, Julian unexpectedly grabbed Gina’s body. Carried her bridal style to the car Charlie had prepared. Julian kept on walking, ignoring Gina’s whimper that asked to be lowered. Gina, who was panicked by seeing Massimo shot, kept crying, she begged her father to be given permission to see Massimo’s condition. But her father did not hear all of Gina’s cries, the middle-aged man actually quickened his pace. Once in the car, Julian carefully lowered Gina from his arms.
"Daddy..."
"Come in, Gina."
Gina shook her head slowly, her eyes glaring at Massimo and his father who suddenly turned so cold. "Please, Daddy."
"Don’t force Daddy to be rude, Gina. Get in the car!" said Julian again, a very strong cold immediately erupted from Julian’s body.
Gina, who had no other choice, finally decided to obey her father’s orders, getting into the car obediently. As soon as Gina sat down, Julian then did something like Gina getting into the car. After Julian and Gina fastened their seat belts, Charlie then took the SUV and left the chaotic Sanders family home. Julian’s expression in the car turned cold, there wasn’t a hint of a smile on his face. Julian’s sloppy and slightly stupid figure disappeared, replaced with a cold and stiff Julian. Gina who sat beside him didn’t even dare to open her lips again, Gina was scared. The cold aura that Julian gave off was too intimidating for him. There seems to be something wrong with Julian.
Diego, who had been incapacitated, was seen struggling and trying to escape from the grip of Massimo’s men who dragged him into the police car. Meanwhile Massimo, who was helpless because he had lost a lot of blood from his horrific gunshot wound, was immediately taken by Martin to the hospital. Seeing how much blood was coming out of Massimo’s body made Martin very sure that the gun Diego used earlier was a dangerous type of gun. The reason is that the wounds inflicted by the gun bullets were so terrible, even though he couldn’t see them clearly, Martin was sure that the wounds on Massimo’s chest and back at this time were not minor injuries.

During Thomas’ work, Massimo didn’t change his facial expression at all. He was still calm and showed no pain as Thomas stitched up the double wound he had sustained. As Martin had previously guessed, the gun that Diego used was the most prohibited type of gun to use because the effects of the gun were so terrible.
Luckily Massimo was immediately taken to the hospital, just a little late. Maybe at this time Massimo could not be helped. The bleeding that occurred in both wounds was terrible. Thomas took care of Massimo directly and had to do a blood transfusion for Massimo before starting work, seeing how pale Massimo’s face was covered in blood made Thomas move quickly.
"You’re really lucky, sir. Just a little bit down this bullet might have pierced your heart, sir," Thomas said quietly.
"Thomas," Martin growled warningly.
Thomas glanced at Martin for a few moments before finally focusing on the wound on Massimo’s back that he was sewing. "I’m speaking the truth, Martin. Despite stitching up multiple gunshot wounds to Master’s body, this gunshot wound is truly the worst. Looks like you won’t be able to use your left hand for the next two weeks, sir."
Massimo didn’t respond to Martin’s words, his mind still on Gina. Earlier when he had just been shot, Gina immediately ran with tears in her eyes at him. Even though at that time Massimo was looking down because of the excruciating pain, he could see the sadness on Gina’s face. Gina really still loves him. Remembering that, instantly the pain that was whacking him was no longer felt.
"What exactly happened, Martin?" After finishing putting the bandage on, Thomas finally got up the courage to ask, seeing how terrible the wound he had just treated made Thomas want to know what had actually happened.
"Long story."
"Keep it short then," said Thomas curtly.
Martin clenched his fists, holding back his emotions. If not remember that Thomas is currently helping Massimo, maybe Martin has already thrown his fist into the young doctor’s face. After taking a deep breath Martin then told what happened at the Sanders family residence.
"So where is that person now?" Thomas asked quietly, trying to hide his anger.
"Police station, I’ve ordered my men to take him to the police station," said Martin quickly.
"Police station? Why were you brought to the police station? Since when did you involve the police in your problems?" Thomas asked sarcastically.
"I want to expose all of Diego’s crimes against Julian Sanders, that’s why he had to be brought to the police station," Massimo replied dryly, without changing his expression.
Thomas’ attention returned to Massimo. "To deal with someone like him you shouldn’t have to involve the police, sir. Just expose all the crimes he has committed to your father-in-law directly, I’m sure Julian Sanders will believe it."
Massimo shook his head. "I have other plans for Diego Alvarez, that’s why I involved the police to take care of it."
Thomas took a deep breath, he almost forgot that his master was a cruel man who had a myriad of gruesome revenge plans to avenge a business rival who had dared to harass him.

Sanders International Hotel, Barcelona.
All of Gina’s curiosity finally paid off when Charlie’s car finally arrived at the hotel lobby belonging to the largest Sanders family in Barcelona. Realizing that her father is still angry, Gina chooses not to ask when her father invites her into the most luxurious room in the hotel.
"I’ll take care of Miss Gina’s needs immediately, sir." Charlie said goodbye to Julian to go to the hotel manager who was still waiting for him out front.
Julian nodded slowly in response to Charlie’s words, after getting approval from his master, Charlie rushed off leaving Julian and Gina who had not spoken since leaving the house. As soon as Charlie came out, Gina got up from the couch where she was sitting.
"Daddy owes me an explanation," Gina said quickly.
Julian, who was about to grab the wine from the table, immediately turned to Gina. "We’ll talk later."
"I want it now, Daddy. I want to know what Daddy and Charlie are hiding from me," Gina said curtly, Gina knew that her father was currently keeping a secret from her.
"Gina..."
"I’m not a kid, Daddy. I know if Daddy’s hiding something, Daddy’s a terrible liar just like me. So Daddy can’t keep Daddy’s secrets from me for too long, so tell me quickly. What is Daddy trying to hide from me?" said Gina again without pause. "Daddy doesn’t really want to marry me off to Diego, does he?"
Julian took a deep breath, being bombarded with questions by Gina made Julian finally give up. Julian gently touched Gina’s flushed cheeks, smoothing the hair that covered her cheeks.
"I’m sorry."
"Why did Daddy apologize to me?" Gina quipped sharply.
Julian smiled. "Sorry for getting you into this, Daddy has no other choice. It’s the only way to unmask Diego."
"The mask Diego is wearing?" Gina repeated Julian’s words in a trembling voice.
Julian pursed his lips, Julian gently invited Gina to sit back on the sofa. After Gina sat down, Julian took out his cell phone and handed it to Gina.
"What is this Daddy?"
"See and read for yourself, you will find the answers to all your questions."
Having no other choice, finally Gina received her father’s cell phone and started reading the file that her father had shown her.
"I..This..."
"Yes, it’s the evidence of Diego’s crimes that Charlie has been carefully collecting all this time," said Julian hoarsely, the disappointment evident in his words. "Diego has not only stolen the company’s money for his own use, he has also used the money to support Vanessa’s lavish lifestyle and her gigolos."
"Gigolo?"
Julian smiled wryly. "Yes, young men who satisfy Vanessa on her bed. Actually Daddy is trying to turn a blind eye to this problem. But after Diego is getting more and more out of line, Daddy finally orders Charlie to keep an eye on him secretly...until yesterday, Charlie surprisingly got a message from Martin who provided evidence of Diego’s other crimes."
"Another piece of evidence for Diego’s crimes, what did Diego do?" Gina’s chest is beating very fast at this time, although curious but Gina is still not ready to hear her father’s answer. Gina wasn’t ready to know Diego’s true nature that she had been hiding all this time.
Julian clenched his fists tightly, trying to control the emotions churning in his chest. His slightly pale lips parted and said, "Diego and Vanessa were the masterminds behind your granny’s ill-fated accident, dear."
"WHAT?!!"
"Diego and Vanessa also conspired again to kill your grandfather," added Julian back in a barely audible voice.
Gina shook her head in panic. "N-no way, Diego couldn’t have done such a cruel thing."
Julian pursed his lips. "Daddy didn’t believe it at first either, but after seeing all the evidence Martin gave Charlie..."
"Wait." Gina interrupted Julian’s words quickly. "If Charlie gave Daddy the evidence for Diego’s crimes, that means Massimo..."
"Yes, Massimo already knows who the real Diego is. Massimo knows all the crimes Diego has committed over the years."
"N-no way," Gina said hoarsely with teary eyes.
"And that’s why Daddy punished him."
Gina frowned. "Daddy punishing Massimo?"
