Chapter 49: Curious

Estacio d’Autobusos Barcelona Nord, 5.00 PM.

It’s been almost 30 minutes Francia didn’t speak, she could only stay silent as she watched the woman whom Gina had previously helped continue to thank Gina by crying. She was given new, more appropriate clothes, treated his wounds and arranged for accommodation to Madrid until she was given money for a hand to make the woman named Tracy worship Gina to the sky, while Gina could only smile and smile without returning all the praises that the middle-aged woman said for her .

"Only God will repay you both," Tracy said hoarsely from crying too much.

Gina smiled. "You’ve said the same line more than 20 times, mrs."

Tracy moved her bandaged hand toward Gina’s face and gently touched her cheek. "Not only your face is beautiful, miss. Your heart too."

"Don’t praise me too much, mrs. Then I’ll fly to the titan," Gina joked with a smile.

Tracy’s tears welled up, again she hugged Gina tightly as a thank you for helping her and helping her return to Madrid. The bus conductor’s voice telling the delivery men to get off immediately because the bus was about to leave for Madrid made Tracy release her arms from Gina and take turns hugging Francia who was standing behind Gina.

"Goodbye, mrs. Have a safe trip and you can reunite with your family," Francia said quietly as Tracy let go of her arm.

"Thank you, both of you are in good health, yes. Hopefully God will give me a chance to repay you both."

Gina and Francia smiled at Francia’s words and finally they actually got off the bus leaving Tracy because the horn had sounded. From inside the bus the middle-aged woman had tears in her eyes while waving her hands at the two rescuers she never expected.

"Finally the woman left too, it’s a pity if she got caught by the thugs," Francia said quietly as the bus Tracy was riding disappeared from her sight.

Gina clenched her fists, she remembered Tracy’s story about the depravity of the thugs who had previously chased her. "They have to get paid, we can’t let them act like that."

"Are you crazy, Gina? They’re a big organization, don’t you remember what Tracy said earlier?"

Gina chuckled. "Remember, then where is the problem?"

"Don’t mess with it, Gina. We’re just ordinary people who don’t have strong people who will protect us, so it’s better not to get into trouble with thugs like that," Francia said seriously, her eyes already staring at Gina.

"Well, what do I want to do?"

"Gina!!!"

"Haha... you’re too serious Francia, earlier I just said they should get a reply. Not wanting to reply to them, those two words mean a lot, Francia," Gina said softly with a big laugh.

An annoyed Francia immediately gave a punch to Gina’s arm hard enough to make Gina wince in pain, it seems that Francia is the type of woman who gets angry easily.

"Never mind I want to go home, talking to you gives me a headache. Don’t be late tomorrow morning, your punishment is to go home alone by taxi, don’t take a car with me," said Francia curtly as she walked away from Gina.

"Ok boss, tomorrow morning I will come on time," Gina answered quietly without guilt.

"Stupid girl!!" Francia cursed loudly without stopping her steps leaving Gina alone, Francia was really annoyed at Gina who was talking carelessly.

Gina was still standing where Francia’s car left, after Francia’s car completely disappeared from sight Gina then stopped a taxi to go back to her apartment. There is a place that Gina wants to go to right now, Tracy’s previous story made Gina curious. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞

Using her cellphone, Gina then tries to find out the organization that Tracy told before, during the trip to Gina’s apartment she did not get any information.

"Looks like they’re really being protected by strong people," Gina mumbled softly when she couldn’t find any reports about The Black organization, a mafia organization that Tracy said was still under the control of the Del Cano clan. "How powerful this Del Cano clan really is."

"Don’t deal with them, miss." The taxi driver suddenly responded to Gina’s words.

Gina who was focused on her cell phone then raised her face to look at the taxi driver. "So what?"

"Are you a foreigner, Miss?"

Gina innocently nodded her head. "Yeah, I’ve only been in Barcelona for 3 weeks."

"No wonder you don’t know who the Del Canos are," said the taxi driver back with a smile.

"Actually I’ve heard rumors about Del Cano a few times, but it’s not really clear because people I talk to seem scared when they talk about Del Cano."

"Obviously they are afraid, the Del Cano clan is the largest organization in this city, and not in this country. Their existence is like getting protection from the Spanish kingdom."

"What? Protected by the king? How can that be?"

After taking a deep breath, the taxi driver who was not young anymore began to tell in detail what kind of power the Del Cano clan was afraid of, as long as the taxi driver was talking, Gina didn’t interrupt at all and was a good listener.

"The bottom line is they are the law in this country," said the taxi driver slowly closing the story with a smile.

Gina shook her head slowly. "Are they that strong?"

"Much stronger than you think, Miss. So you better not get into trouble with them and..."

"And what? I guess I had the feeling you wanted to tell me something, sir?"

"And don’t even think about getting into their illicit business, Miss. You’re young and beautiful, there’s a lot more work for you to do besides being entertainers in the Del Cano clan’s night bars.

Gina burst out laughing, she now understood why the taxi driver had been stealing glances at her from the rearview mirror when she told him about the Del Cano clan. "I can’t let my mother cry in heaven seeing me working in a place like that, sir."

"Gosh, I’m sorry miss. I think you..."

"It’s ok, sir. Alright, here’s the money, thank you for this very valuable information and thank you also for making the trip so enjoyable," Gina said quietly as she handed the money to the taxi driver.

"Miss, this is too much."

Gina, who had gotten off the taxi, smiled looked at the taxi driver. "That includes your fee for providing information about the Del Cano clan, sir"

"But miss..."

"It’s getting late, I have an appointment after this. I have to go soon, then see you later. Thank you very much, sir." Gina immediately cut off the taxi driver’s words and immediately rushed away from that place towards the main road to his apartment.

The white-haired taxi driver smiled at Gina who continued to walk towards the simple apartment in front of him. "A girl what’s interesting, may God continue to protect your life, miss," he said slowly before finally stepping on the gas pedal leaving Gina’s apartment area.

Because the sun was almost setting Gina then accelerated her footsteps towards her apartment, there was an interesting place that Gina had to visit tonight using her favorite iron horse and identity both as Gabriel.
