His soul-Chapter 311: Trust me
Restaurante Barceloneta
Tanya and Lily were still speechless when they arrived at one of the best restaurants on Barceloneta beach, meeting Massimo in person still made the two girls unable to control themselves. Meeting the most influential mobster in Barcelona leaves the two girls in shock.
"What do you want, Massimo?" Gina asked in a low, half-whispered voice to Massimo who was sitting beside her.
Massimo smiled. "Hosting your friends, didn’t you say you told them about our marriage?"
"Yes, but this..."
"I want to officially meet your two friends, at least after this they will believe that we are married."
Gina shook her head hearing Massimo’s words which were very unreasonable, she felt that what Massimo was doing was completely unreasonable. Gina still couldn’t believe that Massimo wanted to have lunch with her two friends like this.
The situation in the private dining room at Restaurante Barceloneta became even more awkward when the expensive meals that Martin had ordered earlier began to arrive, foods that only those with deep pockets could enjoy were now served in front of Tanya and Lily who incidentally didn’t come from a wealthy family who could go on their own. enjoy the expensive food served on the table today. Gina herself who was already sitting beside Massimo couldn’t do much, she could only follow the game Massimo was playing at the moment.
During lunch Massimo was the one who spoke most of the time, Massimo tried to lighten the mood by taking Tanya and Lily in turn. Massimo tried to familiarize himself with Gina’s two friends whose names Massimo had heard several times when Gina was studying from home when her leg hurt a few months ago, Massimo felt that Tanya and Lily were not dangerous for the continuation of his relationship with Gina. That’s why Massimo didn’t hesitate to take the two girls out to dinner after Gina told them about their relationship.
"What, Selena said my wife was the maid’s daughter at her house?" Massimo shrieked loudly when Tanya accidentally spoke of the gossip circulating on campus a few months ago.
"Yes, sir. The gossip has even been heard in almost all corners of campus, with Selena’s popularity at that time, bad news is getting easier to spread," Tanya answered quietly.
Massimo’s jaw tightened, he slowly turned his head towards Gina whose left hand was already gripped under the table. "Why didn’t you tell me about this, honey?"
"What’s the point of telling it? After all, it’s just unimportant gossip, so why talk about it." Gina answered quietly without daring to look at Massimo’s face who was staring at her without blinking.
Gina, who was just about to put the grilled lobster in her mouth, suddenly grimaced when she felt Massimo’s grip lodged in her thigh, Gina suddenly turned to Massimo, whose face had darkened. Massimo didn’t see the slightest smile on his face at this time.
"What I said is true, Massimo. The gossip is not true and does not correspond to the facts, so why should I think about it? If I do that it will be my own loss, Massimo. I will run out of energy to be busy clarifying with other people. People who want to know the truth, I will also waste a lot of my precious time if I have to tell everyone that the gossip is not true. Wouldn’t it be much better if I kept quiet like now huh? " said Gina at length trying to explain her reason for not taking care of the gossip that Selena and her friends made.
"I know you won’t mind it, but I won’t, honey. I can’t let you be treated unfairly like this."
"Selena is my sister, Massimo."
"I know, that’s why she should be warned," said Massimo curtly.
Gina shook her head. "After all, Selena is my sister, Massimo. I don’t want this problem to make our relationship more tenuous."
"You’re too kind," Massimo snorted coldly. "Girls like Selena should be taught a little lesson not to talk recklessly anymore."
Gina chuckled. "That will be my business, you take it easy."
Massimo was silent, he didn’t answer Gina’s words again because he realized that he was the main object of Tanya and Lily who didn’t seem to blink at him and Gina who were discussing. Not wanting to scare Gina’s two friends, Massimo chose to end the discussion about Selena and continue eating as if nothing had happened. Realizing their mistake, Tanya and Lily finally refocused on their food, they smiled while talking to Gina who tried to lighten the mood, Gina realized that her two friends felt uncomfortable being this close to Massimo. Knowing Tanya and Lily for a long time made it easy for Gina to read the faces of her two friends.
After forty-five tense minutes had passed, Tanya and Lily said goodbye to go home to Gina and Massimo. The two girls decided to go home early and refused Massimo’s invitation to have a drink together, Martin who had been sitting not far from where Massimo was sitting decided to take Tanya and Lily to the parking area where their car was. Actually Martin’s goal is not just to deliver, the man has an important mission that must be conveyed to the two girls. A mission related to Massimo and Gina’s marital status.
"Why are you taking my friends out to dinner like this, Massimo?" asked Gina coldly when she was alone with Massimo on the rooftop of the restaurant which has an amazing sea view.
"Of course to familiarize yourself with your two friends," answered Massimo
Gina’s eyes glared at Massimo. "Be more specific, Massimo."
"It was specific and clear."
Gina shook her head. "I know you quite well, Massimo."
"I know you better, my love."
"Massimo..."
"Shhhh... believe me, what I’m doing is for the good of our relationship. I know you still don’t want anyone to know about this wedding, that’s why I want to do this. Give a banquet to the first two outsiders who know about the wedding from your lips, I think we should celebrate. That’s why we are in this restaurant right now," explained Massimo softly.
Gina bit her lower lip tightly, a sudden tightness suffocating her chest. Spontaneously, Gina lowered her head as she realized her fatal mistake for accusing Massimo of nothing before.
"My love," Massimo called softly. "I love you, don’t doubt me. Believe me, everything I do is for us, for our future. Don’t you remember everything I said yesterday?"
"I remember."
"Hmm... no, I didn’t hear it."
"Massimo."
"Put your face up and speak loudly."
Like a good student, Gina slowly lifted her face and looked at Massimo with her eyes already misty with tears. "I remember, Massimo."
"Remember what?" Massimo’s teasing sucks.
Feeling played by Gina then hit Massimo hard on the chest. "I hate you!"
Hearing the hoarse voice that came out of Gina’s slightly pale lips, Massimo then grabbed Gina’s body and hugged her tightly. Massimo gave Gina the warmth of his body, trying to make it clear to Gina that he loved her very much. Massimo wants Gina to be completely under his control, so Massimo tries to approach people that Gina knows. At least if Gina is away from him then he knows where to look for information about Gina, the possessive act that Gina is currently doing has never been done with any woman.
Massimo’s intention to return to the office failed, after being with Gina like this made Massimo’s spirit to return to struggling with all the problems currently piling up at RedFox disappeared. All Massimo wanted to do was be with Gina, spend time with her. Sharing each other’s body warmth like today.
"I’m tired, Massimo. Let’s go home," Gina whispered softly.
Massimo lifted his face from the top of Gina’s head and looked at Gina who was also looking at him. "Go home?"
"Hmm."
"You don’t want to enjoy the view of the sun setting over the sea like this?"
Gina shook her head. "No, eating too much makes me sleepy."
Massimo chuckled. "Ok..ok we go home."
Gina nodded her head excitedly, one second after that Massimo then asked Gina to come out of the restaurant. All of Gina’s wishes were mandatory orders that Massimo could not refuse. Martin, who was about to enter the restaurant, was surprised by the exit of Massimo and Gina from the restaurant.
"Master..."
"We’re going home, Martin."
"Yes sir."
As usual, Martin agreed to Massimo’s orders without daring to argue. Martin’s loyalty and obedience is second to none.
On the way home Massimo didn’t let go of Gina’s arms, Gina, who initially felt uncomfortable with what Massimo was doing, had now gotten used to enjoying it. Even though she didn’t feel free, Gina felt comfortable. Being in Massimo’s arms like this made Gina feel calm, the anxiety that had plagued her since her last conversation with Lucas yesterday slowly disappeared even though there was a side inside her that asked her to meet with Lucas to find out what Massimo was really hiding from her.
"What do you think?" asked Massimo, suddenly breaking the silence.
Gina smiled. "There is not any."
"Is that true?"
"Yes."
Silence returned to the Range Rover as it was driving them back to the castle after Gina answered Massimo’s question.
"Massimo."
"Hmm.."
"You love me?"
Massimo growled. "What kind of question is this?"
"Ish, just answer."
"Of course I love you, are all the crazy things I’ve done so far still not enough to prove my love for you, hm?"
"That’s enough," Gina replied curtly.
"Then why are you still asking?" retorted Massimo in a voice rising two octaves, Massimo felt a little annoyed when Gina doubted his feelings.
Gina smiled, slowly her right hand began to feel Massimo’s chest who was embracing her. "What if in the future you get bored of me and..."
"There’s no such thing as bored."
"But..."
"No Buts."
An annoyed Gina looked up at Massimo’s blue eyes which were starting to darken, looking displeased. Making Massimo angry seemed very easy for Gina to do.
"I’m serious, Massimo."
"I’m much more serious about you, from the start I decided to get you so I put aside other interests to be able to make you attached to my side. Even though the way was wrong at first and I regret it to this day, I’m glad I finally managed to make you my woman, become my wife. Because don’t ever doubt me, your existence in me is much bigger than myself," said Massimo at length.
"Then has it ever crossed your mind to divorce me and..."
"No divorce!" Massimo’s rising voice startled Martin and Pablo who were sitting quietly in the front seat. "You are mine now, tomorrow and beyond."
Gina who was sitting up straight looked at Massimo in annoyance. "We’re having a discussion, Massimo. Don’t use emotion."
"I’m not emotional, I just don’t like it when you mention the word divorce. Living once, falling in love once and getting married once is the motto of my life. Therefore, I will never let you leave me for any reason. Especially until you divorce from me, no Gina , that won’t happen."
Gina’s eyes flickered upon hearing Massimo’s words, Gina tried to digest the words that had just come out of the lips of the highly respected man who was still holding her. Massimo’s words were like puzzle pieces colliding with Lucas’ words earlier, although Gina felt happy because she was happy to hear Massimo’s words but Gina had not fully accepted it yet. The promise that Lucas had made to reveal the big secret Massimo had been keeping for so long made Gina feel a little uneasy.
"Please, trust me, Gina," Massimo sighed in a low pleading voice that Gina had never heard before. "I’m really serious about reaching out for a future with you."
Gina bit her lip again, looking into Massimo’s eyes, which were starting to soften. All the cruelty that usually comes out of those eyes is gone, replaced with a deep sadness within them. The defense that Gina had built now collapsed again, Gina was too easily absorbed in Massimo’s intoxicating sweet words.
Should Gina believe?"
