Chapter 265: Back to London

Massimo blinked his eyes at the clean tampon that Gina showed him, during nearly thirty-two years of his life in this world, only now did Massimo see an item of women’s equipment called a tampon.

"Painless?"

"Not harmful?"

"Are you sure something this small can absorb blood?"

Question after question kept coming out of Massimo’s lips as soon as Gina showed him the tampon, when Gina was about to put the box of clean tampons back into the storage cupboard when suddenly Massimo’s big hand gripped her hand tightly.

"What else? Still not clear?"

Massimo shook his head. "Since when did you wear this kind of thing? Didn’t you wear normal sanitary napkins yesterday?"

"Since yesterday, after Tanya and Lily told me the advantages of using tampons."

"Tanya.. Lily..."

"My two classmates at college," Gina said quietly, reminding Massimo of her two friends.

"Oh I see.. but wait. Are your two friends married?"

"No, they’re still single."

"Then how can an unmarried girl recommend this kind of thing to you? Are they not virgins anymore..."

Massimo’s words lingered in the air as Gina covered her mouth tightly with both hands, from her sharp expression it was obvious that Gina is angry right now.

"Wearing tampons has nothing to do with hymens, anyone can wear them as long as they feel comfortable," said Gina curtly.

"Then what about you? Why did you only want to use such a device after we got married? It’s perfectly natural for me not to associate it with a woman’s hymen." Massimo spoke again very annoyingly.

Gina growled. "I didn’t know that tampons turned out to be more comfortable to use because during my mother’s life she didn’t give me the option of finding a comfortable sanitary napkin for myself when I had my period, you were born with a golden spoon, Massimo. So you don’t know how poor people have to turn the money around.." Gina’s breath went up and down when discussing her difficult times with her mother all those years ago, Gina always couldn’t control her emotions when she brought up her life in London.

"My mother works odd jobs, from washing dishes at fast food restaurants, Chinese restaurants to being a housekeeper at a doctor’s house who doesn’t really need her help to ensure I can continue my education, Massimo hiks... my mother even prefers ignored her illness for years so that I could still eat well. Then do you think I could still be selfish asking her for money to buy sanitary napkins which are a few pounds different from the normal ones I wear. No Massimo, I’m not that cruel to my mother," said Gina without pause with tears that had flowed into rivers.

Massimo’s chest suddenly tightened, hearing and seeing how Gina told a little bit of her sad story with her mother made Massimo suddenly feel like he had become the worst bastard in the world. Making Gina cry remembering her miserable life in London really made Massimo curse himself.

Massimo finally regained his composure when he saw Gina start to wipe away the tears that were already flowing like a waterfall, Massimo swiftly grabbed Gina’s body and hugged her tightly.

"Sorry Gina, I’m sorry. I really didn’t mean to make you remember those sad times, I swear to God I didn’t mean it like that, Gina."

"I’m sorry Gina."

"My love, please... speak. Don’t be silent like this, I need your answer to make my chest feel better from this guilt gripping my chest, baby."

"Baby..."

"I’m fine, you don’t need to apologize to me," Gina said softly interrupting Massimo’s words.

Massimo slowly removed his hand from Gina’s body and pushed the girl away from him a little, but because Gina was still looking down Massimo couldn’t see the girl’s expression at this time. Gently, Massimo grabbed Gina’s chin and brought her up so he could look at her.

"You’re not alone anymore, I’m by your side Gina. I will be the number one person who will always support you and do whatever you want."

Gina shook her head slowly. "Don’t promise me if you can’t keep it."

"You doubt me?" Massimo’s voice rose two octaves as he spoke.

Gina pursed her lips, slowly releasing Massimo’s grip on her shoulders in one motion. "You’ve already proven it to me, Massimo. And I don’t want to remember it anymore because..."

"What Gina? What promise have I not kept? Have I ever failed to keep my promise to you? I have returned your family land certificates one by one. Although legally all the land that your grandfather built the hotel belongs to my family, but the proof is that I still return it according to the agreement, right? Then how can you say that I didn’t keep my promise?" Massimo’s tone changed as emotion filled his chest, being branded as a person who didn’t keep promises made Massimo del Cano’s ego hurt.

Seeing Massimo angry Gina smiled a little.

"Why smile? Shame for accusing your perfect husband, huh?" asked Massimo sarcastically.

Binggo!

The words that Gina had been waiting for finally escaped Massimo’s lips, with a gentle face Gina stared intently at Massimo’s blue eyes who were also staring at her without blinking.

"Husband," Gina said softly repeating Massimo’s words.

"Yes, I’m your husband! Did you forget about it?"

"Maybe..."

"Gina." Massimo immediately growled in annoyance.

Gina chuckled. "I don’t know, I’m still at a loss as to what to call you. The pledge of allegiance that you said two months ago was just a play, a promise as long as life and death that you should have made sacred as a game venue with Lucas. Then with the pretend marriage we had yesterday..."

"Stop!" Massimo interrupted Gina’s words with a half shout. "Don’t bring up that marriage or promise again in front of me, it’s probably true that it all started because of a gamble between me and that bastard Lucas Dom. But for the two of us no, you’re officially my wife, Gina. The only woman I’ve ever married in the end."

Gina smiled sarcastically. "I want to believe it, but it’s hard. But what I believe until this moment is that everything that starts with a lie won’t last long, because of that..."

"You will be mine forever, Gina. No buts or whys buts You have to. So don’t ever think that you can leave me, your life and death are mine, Massimo del Cano’s wife, Gina," Massimo said hoarsely as he grabbed and pulled Gina’s arm towards him.

Gina slightly raised her face to look at Massimo who was a few centimeters away from her fearlessly. "Well, we’ll see what happens next."

"Don’t try to test the limits of my patience, Gina."

"I’m not, I just..."

Cup...

A rough peck landed on Gina’s lips briefly.

"Nothing only, you are mine, my wife, my woman. You will carry that status with you until we grow old and die together, so don’t talk nonsense anymore because you don’t have time to discuss unimportant things that will make us fight. Now you better take a shower and get ready, we’re leaving in an hour."

"Massimo..."

"Your exams are over, this afternoon we fly to London. I want to meet my mother-in-law officially," Massimo said quietly in passing, leaving Gina alone in the room who was in shock after hearing Massimo’s words wanting to take her back to London.

"This isn’t a dream, is it?"

"Come on, Rosa. Don’t keep tormenting yourself, your eyes will hurt if you keep crying. You’ve been crying for almost two hours, Rosa," said Alexandre quietly trying to calm Rosa who was still crying since leaving the house.

Her lips were torn from being slapped by Selena with all her might. Alexandre, who always carried his small medicine box in the car, had a doctor’s lover, which seemed to give Rosa her own advantage.

"Rosa..."

"They’re mean, Alex. Mommy and Selena, they’ve both been accusing you of nothing."

Alexandre raised one eyebrow. "Accusing me?"

"Yes, they accuse you of just using me to get close to Gina," answered Rosa hoarsely.

"W-what?" Alexandre almost choked on his own saliva at Rosa’s words.

Rosa wiped her tears slowly. "They said you weren’t really being honest with me."

"Oh Rosa..."

"Say it’s not true Alex." Rosa cut off Alexandre’s words quickly. "You’re not using me to get back at Gina, are you? Gina is married, Alex. Her husband is Massimo del Cano, the most dangerous mobster in Spain."

For a few seconds Alexandre was silent until finally his sensual lips began to move and said, "You doubt me, Rosa?"

Rosa shook her head quickly. "Of course not, I’m just afraid of losing you Alex. I don’t want to be separated from you," said Rosa with teary eyes staring at Alexandre without blinking, without anyone knowing. It’s been almost a year and a half since Rosa and Alexandre shared the warmth of their bodies together in bed, even Alexandre became Rosa’s first man. Rosa, who is fierce and a little tomboyish, surrenders herself to a young man whose age is quite far from her, the hallmark of youth’s blind love.

Alexandre embraced Rosa’s body gently, he knew where Rosa was talking. "I would never leave you, Rosa. I have to repeat it a hundred times for you to believe me, hm?"

In Alexandre’s arms Rosa quickly shook her head. "No, I believe in you Alex. I believe in you."

Alexandre smiled. "Okay now don’t cry anymore and clean your face from the tears, your eyes are swollen.

Rosa released her body from Alexandre’s arms and started doing what the man told her, using special facial tissue Rosa managed to make her face fresh and clean from tears. Even though the puffy eyes that surround her eyes can still be seen clearly.

"Good girl." Alexandre complimented the girl sincerely.

"I’m hungry," said Rosa quietly.

"Okay, let’s eat. I also can’t stand the worms in my stomach that have protested because I didn’t eat breakfast at the respectable Sanders house two hours ago."

"Alex!" Rosa’s face turned red when Alexandre brought up what he had just done.

Alexandre laughed. "Just kidding, baby. Come on, let’s eat, how about a burger?"

"Sure," Rosa answered briefly with a smile.

Alexandre unbuckled his seatbelt and helped Rosa unbuckle her seatbelt and immediately got out of the car to walk to a junk food restaurant that was in front of their car. stopped this time, hand in hand Alexandre led Rosa into the restaurant.

The two of them chose the same menu, as usual when they dated every weekend. Seeing that Rosa wasn’t as good as she usually was, Alexandre grabbed Rosa’s left hand and held it tightly. "Everything will be fine. Just believe me."

"Don’t leave me, Alex."

"Please trust me."

Rosa gave a smile. "Thanks, Alex."

Alexandre shook his head. "No, you don’t have to thank me. Don’t think about what your mother and sister said, since the first time we were in a relationship I was really serious about you, Rosa."

Alexandre tried to speak as naturally as possible so as not to make Rosa unsuspecting of him, to be honest Alexandre still has a little feeling for Gina that hasn’t changed. Growing up together since childhood made Alexandre have little room for Gina in his heart.

Rosa pursed her lips, smiled back sincerely at Alexandre. After finishing her burger, Rosa looked back at Alexandre who was sitting across from her.

"Why stop? Are you full?" asked Alexandre, confused.

"Yes, I’m suddenly full."

"I’ve known you for a very long time, Rosa. Don’t lie to me, quickly tell me what else is still bothering you right now?" asked Alexandre again.

Rosa’s green eyes were teary. "I don’t want to go home, I don’t want to meet Mommy and Selena."

"If you don’t want to go home then where do you want to live? To the apartment where we can stay?"

"Yes."

"No, it’s too dangerous for you to live alone," said Alexandre firmly.

"But there you are, Alex."

"Rosa," Alexandre breathed hoarsely. "I’m a young doctor, I still have a lot of work to do at the hospital. I will not be able to always be by your side, therefore I will not be able to promise to continue to accompany you, Rosa."

Rosa bowed her head in disappointment.

"Rosa, I’m sorry," said Alexandre regretfully, Alexandre couldn’t have sacrificed his job for Rosa. -his childhood dream of becoming a cardiologist had to come true and Alexandre didn’t want Rosa to mess things up.

Rosa shook her head slowly. "It’s ok, I understand."

"Are you mad at me?"

"No, why am I angry at you," Rosa replied sincerely. "I have no other purpose at this time."

"Eh?"

Rosa smiled at Alexandre. "Take me home Massimo del Cano, home to another sister, Alex."
