Gina screamed loudly at Lucas’ name because the man wouldn’t let go of his grip.

Lucas stopped in his tracks when Gina called his name. "Not here, Gina. It’s still too dangerous, let’s talk somewhere safe."

"But..."

"Don’t protest and let your head be covered by this jacket, I didn’t get your face caught by CCTV. Every place in this building has CCTV that can record sound," Lucas said in a half whisper, continuing his previous words.

Gina immediately covered her mouth with one hand, her intention to take off the jacket that Lucas had put on her head did not continue. Seeing Gina calm, Lucas finally resumed his steps towards the slightly dim room.

Gina rolled her eyes, surprised. "You know that Massimo and I..."

"Of course I know, that asshole purposely sent me your picture," Lucas said curtly, interrupting Gina’s words.

"I’m sorry, I..."

"No, Gina. It’s not your fault, it’s that bastard’s fault for forcing you. So you don’t have to apologize to me." Lucas spoke softly again, interrupting Gina’s words.

Gina stared at Lucas’s eyes that looked teary for a while until suddenly Gina let go of Lucas’ hand that was on her waist.

"Let go of me, Luke. I’m married, Massimo will kill me if he finds out we’re together in a place like this."

Lucas shook his head. "No, I won’t let you go. You’re my love, Gina. We haven’t broken up yet."

"We have to break up, Luke. I’m married, I can’t..."

Lucas gave Gina a sudden kiss on the lips.

"I don’t want to break up, do you hear that? I’ve already decided to make you my woman, so I’ll always make that happen."

"But Massimo and I are married, Luke. Our marriage is legal in the eyes of the state and religion, it seems impossible for us to be together again like before. Everything is different, I’m not a single girl anymore, Luke."

Lucas couldn’t stand it, hearing Gina keep talking about his marriage to Massimo made Lucas furious. Lucas gently grabbed Gina’s cheeks and brought his forehead to hers.

"I don’t care, right now you can be Massimo’s wife. But to me you are my lover, my woman, the future mother of my children. I will not let you go, Gina," Lucas said back hoarsely.

Just as Gina was about to open her mouth to answer Lucas’ words, Lucas’ hand suddenly covered her mouth and signaled her to be quiet. Lucas heard a lot of footsteps approaching, Gina’s eyes opened wide when she heard the sound of the footsteps.

If Massimo’s men found her alone in a closed place like this, Massimo would surely kill her and destroy the family business, thinking about it made Gina’s heart beat really fast. Gina also felt that the oxygen in the room was getting thinner as more and more people passed by in the place until finally Gina had to hold her breath when the door to the room was suddenly opened.

Luckily the door to the room was immediately closed again and not long after about five men dressed in black left the place so that Gina could breathe freely again.

"Fuck!!"

"Go away, Luke. It’s very dangerous for you to be in this place, Massimo’s men are everywhere, I don’t want to see you hurt," Gina said quietly.

"You come with me, we go back to my house in Italy."

"No way, I’m married to him, Luke. I don’t want Massimo to hurt my family, Luke."

"I will protect all your family, you don’t have to be afraid of it." Lucas immediately reacted quickly.

Gina nodded slowly. "I don’t want to see you hurt, I don’t want to see you guys fighting each other, Luke. So I beg you better get out of here, save yourself."

"Gina..."

"Please, Luke. It’s possible that right now I can run away from Massimo by going with you, but I won’t be able to escape God’s law. So please go away, I won’t be able to go with you, Luke." Gina’s eyes glazed over as she spoke.

Lucas’ chest suddenly tightened when he heard Gina’s words, being rejected by the woman who made his chest pound so hard it made him feel sick.

Because Lucas was silent and didn’t speak, Gina slowly freed herself from the man and returned the jacket that wrapped her body into the man’s hands again. "Forget about me and get on with your life again, I pray for your happiness, Luke."

"You are my happiness, Gina."

"Sorry." Gina shook her head slowly, after which she walked carefully out of the room leaving Lucas alone.

Gina walked quickly, trying to avoid the CCTV so she could find an alibi. The place where Gina was going now was the toilet, Gina had to remove her makeup to avoid Massimo’s suspicions who saw her lipstick faded because of Lucas’ kiss that was very intense earlier. Gina’s smile immediately widened when she saw the toilet, with Gina half running towards the toilet. But because she forgot she was wearing high heels, Gina was not careful and ended up falling on the slippery floor. Gina let out a small scream as she felt an excruciating pain in her left leg.

"Stupid, why are you being this careless, Gina," Gina said softly when she saw her legs were starting to turn red.

Because the position of the toilet is too far away, not many people pass by in that place, so Gina’s whereabouts are not quickly known, because she feels uncomfortable with the wet floor, Gina tries to get up from where she is currently sitting. However, because of the pain in her leg that bit Gina several times, Gina fell to the floor again, making her clothes even more dirty.

Gina’s tears slowly dripped, the pain in her legs was really unbearable. Feeling that there will be no one to help her again, Gina braced herself to get up, by enduring the pain Gina reached for the wall to hold on. After trying for almost three minutes, Gina was finally able to stand back up even though she had to lean against the wall.

"I have to clean this dress first," Gina said hoarsely when she saw how dirty the clothes she was wearing were.

Gina’s steps being dragged into the bathroom, Gina’s guess was right that the bathroom was really rarely used seeing how quiet it was in the toilet. As soon as she arrived in front of the sink, Gina took a tissue to wipe the makeup on her face which was already quite messy.

After feeling that her body was clean, Gina then came back out of the bathroom to return to Massimo’s room, but because the pain was getting worse, Gina stopped her steps in front of the toilet door with her head down.

"Looks like my leg isn’t just sprained," Gina said hoarsely with tears gathering in her eyes again, as someone who was familiar with bruises since she was a child when practicing karate Gina could endure the pain. But this time the pain in his leg was completely different from the pain he had ever felt before.

"What the fucking hell is happening here!!"

Massimo, who had just arrived, shouted loudly when he saw Gina standing in front of the toilet, because Massimo wasn’t paying attention to Gina’s reddened left leg.

Gina herself immediately raised her head as soon as she heard Massimo’s scream, her eyes which were already wet with tears could not clearly see the angry expression on Massimo’s face. She could only put on a forced smile because of the pain.

Massimo who was already angry became even more angry when he saw Gina smile, he thought she was teasing him. With emotion Massimo approached Gina and immediately gripped her right arm so tightly that it made Gina slightly lifted into the air.

"What are you doing Gina? Are you trying to run away from me again like that night, huh?"

"Don’t be spoiled, you’re not a princess who can spoil me because I won’t be seduced by..."

Massimo’s words stopped when Gina grabbed her shirt with her left hand with her head bowed, feeling that there was something wrong with her. what went wrong Massimo then grabbed Gina’s shoulders and pushed her away from him.

Gina had tears in her eyes. "It hurts, my left leg hurts Massimo."

Massimo’s eyebrows rose, his eyes immediately fell on Gina’s left leg which was swollen and red-purple.

"What the fuck, what are you doing?" cried Massimo in surprise.

"Fall, I slipped behind where you’re currently standing," Gina answered hoarsely.

Massimo and everyone else immediately turned towards the puddle that Gina mentioned, Massimo’s eyes widened when he saw the puddle. Before he could ask further, Massimo’s surprise grew when he saw the reflection of the mirror which showed how dirty the back of the dress Gina was currently wearing.

"Gina you really fell?" asked Massimo in disbelief.

Gina wiped her tears slowly. "Did anyone pretend to fall? It’s all because of you, Massimo."

"Because of me?"

"Yeah, you’re the one at fault for forcing me to wear shoes this high."
