His soul-Chapter 220: Thank you, Mom
Not long after the gunshots were heard Diana Duarte’s body fell on the grass, on the woman’s left chest there was fresh blood that Gina could see clearly.
Gina immediately covered her mouth when she saw who was holding the gun that caused Diana to be shot.
"Fuck!"
Lucas suddenly released his arms from Gina and approached Diana who was currently being carried by Massimo to the gate, Lucas forgot the existence of Gina who was very shocked when he found out that Diana was shot by the gun that Massimo was holding.
Diana who was already covered in blood was finally brought into a car by Massimo, not long after that the convoy of cars started leaving Massimo’s house towards the highway. Lucas himself could only silently watch Massimo leave, even though he hated Massimo so much but Lucas didn’t expect this kind of thing to happen.
"Sir, Miss Gina isn’t around. Miss Gina is gone."
Lucas’ body tensed, he immediately turned to his subordinates who had just spoken.
"Gina?"
"Yes, sir. Miss Gina is missing," said the man again in a trembling voice.

Sant Joan de Deu Barcelona Hopital, 5 AM.
Massimo was still standing in front of the operating room, waiting for the operation to finish. Inside there, in the operating room, was Diana Duarte, who was being rescued by doctors after being shot in the chest by a gun held by Massimo.
Massimo still couldn’t believe what had happened a moment ago.
"A crazy woman, how could she do such a reckless thing," Massimo muttered quietly, recalling what had happened.
Time went by so slowly for Massimo, the minutes that passed were excruciating. The estimation time that nurse said earlier seemed very long, even though at this time the operation process had been running for thirty minutes.
The air in front of the operating room was cold, suffocating. Massimo felt like he was on an iceberg, every movement he made was painful. All of Massimo’s attention was already on Diana Duarte, that woman, his hated birth mother was currently struggling and Massimo still didn’t want to see her die.
There were still many things Massimo wanted to ask the woman. When he was thinking about his first meeting with his mother, suddenly the operating room door was opened from the inside and two surgeons who were treating Diana came out.
"How about it, doc?"
"Forgive us, sir. We couldn’t save that woman’s life, the bullet that lodged in her chest has penetrated her lungs." One of the two doctors immediately explained the actual condition.
Massimo was silent for almost two minutes in the presence of the two doctors. Hearing the words of the two doctors who said that his biological mother, the woman he hated the most, died, Massimo was speechless. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
The two doctors who were trying to help Diana were confused about what to do now until finally Martin came and thanked the two doctors for trying to help Diana. Shortly after Martin spoke, the two doctors left Massimo and Martin to resume their work. Meanwhile, several nurses who previously accompanied the two doctors to perform the operation were still in the room to take care of Diana’s body.
"I’ll take care of everything, sir," Martin said politely.
"Order the nurse out, I want to see that woman."
Martin nodded his head. "Yes sir."
After saying that Martin then went into the operating room, asking the nurses to leave the room immediately. Luckily when Martin entered, all the medical equipment previously installed in Diana’s body had been successfully removed. So that the nurses did not take long to get out of the room.
Shortly after the nurses had left, Massimo entered with dragging steps. Martin who knew himself then left his master with the body of his mother, Martin knew Massimo wanted to pay his last respects as a child.
"Hi, Mom. I feel like this is the first time I’ve called you this, it’s weird and uncomfortable. But I guess I have to call you that now." Massimo stopped his words, his chest tight. It turns out that talking to the dead is not as easy as previously thought.
Massimo’s intention to say all the things that he had not had time to say when his mother was still alive had to be canceled because Massimo could not control himself, Massimo had sworn he would not shed tears for anyone after his grandfather’s death a few years ago. That’s why Massimo chose to leave the operating room, which was already quiet, leaving his mother’s body covered with a white cloth.
As soon as Massimo came out, some of the nurses who had previously left came back into the room to do their job again because Martin had asked them to take care of Diana’s body a while ago.
Massimo sat in front of the operating room with his head down, the cold arrogant man looked different. There was no more cold aura or killing aura emanating from his body. Massimo looked weak and frail.
After ten five passed, four nurses came out of the operating room carrying Diana’s stiff body. They prepared to take Diana to the morgue to make up before being put into the coffin.
"What about the funeral procession, sir?" Martin asked carefully.
Massimo looked up at Martin. "As soon as the sun rises, bury the woman in my family’s burial area."
"At the del Cano funeral? A-are you serious, sir?" Martin stammered again.
"Yes, that was my father’s last message before he died."
Martin immediately closed his mouth tightly, he could not say anymore if the master had mentioned his late father’s name. Without daring to speak again, Martin then hurried away from Massimo’s presence to immediately take care of Diana’s funeral procession because the sun was about to rise.
Even though Diana never did good in her life, at the time of her death she still had to get the respect she deserves like humans in general. Therefore Martin tried to give the perfect funeral for the woman who had given birth to her master.
Massimo only left his seat after Diana’s body was ready to be taken to the grave, a priest who was called to pray for Diana had already done his first assignment in the mortuary and had to finish his duties at the funeral.
Without changing clothes, Massimo and his men went to the del Cano family cemetery in three cars. Meanwhile, Diana’s coffin was carried by a different car right in front of the car Massimo was riding.
Arriving at the cemetery, without waiting for the funeral time was immediately carried out. Since no pilgrims came except for Massimo and his people the event went very quickly, the priest didn’t say much and went straight to his duties.
As soon as Diana’s coffin entered the ground Massimo lowered his sunglasses.
"May God forgive you, Mom. Thank you for bringing me into the world." Massimo spoke to himself holding back tears.
