His soul-Chapter 198: Going home together

It was late afternoon when Gina and her friends came out of class, the many assignments they had to do today forced them to come home late.

Gina stared at her phone screen, reading the message Massimo had sent. After learning that Massimo had to go out of town because of work Gina looked angry, she felt a little annoyed when she found out the man was gone.

"What is this feeling? Why am I upset, why should I be angry? What happened to me?" Gina spoke to herself while touching her chest which felt tight, when she saw the photo of the street sign that Massimo had sent as proof that she was currently in the city of Almeria.

Even though the distance from Barcelona to Almeria is not that far, Gina still doesn’t like it when Massimo leaves. Moreover, Massimo’s current goal is to visit his giant nightclub which is almost finished with construction. Gina is sure that there must be a lot of women in that place.

"Irritating...."

"Who’s annoying, Princess?" 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮

Gina gasped in surprise, she quickly turned towards the source of the voice.

"Luke.."

"Yes, it’s me." Lucas cut off Gina’s words quickly.

Gina smiled. "When did you come?"

"Do you want an honest answer or a lie?" Lucas asked back with a smile.

"I’m serious!!"

"Haha .. ok ok ... I’m joking. I’ve finished two cups of Coffee Americano and a sandwich in the car while waiting for you to leave campus, so you can figure it out yourself not how long it will take," Lucas said quietly.

Gina sighed heavily, feeling guilty. "Why didn’t you call me first, if you wanted to come?"

"For what? Do I need permission to come pick up my baby?"

"Luke, can’t you be a little serious?"

Lucas chuckled. "I’m serious too Princess, okay let’s get in the car. I know you must be very tired today."

"Smart ass."

Lucas laughed out loud. "Of course I know, almost ten students I asked said that your class was having a quiz from the lecturer since this morning."

"You asked ten..."

"Akh, let’s not talk about it anymore, let’s get in the car. I’ll take you back to the apartment and..."

"W-going home, I’m only allowed to stay at the apartment on weekends." Gina immediately interrupted Lucas’ words quickly.

"Oh I see?"

"Yes, I’m not allowed to live alone by Daddy.*

Lucas pursed his lips. "Good, then I’ll take you home, okay?"

Gina nodded her head, without hesitation Gina then got into the car followed by Lucas who immediately drove the car away from the campus area to the Sanders family residence.

While on the way home Gina kept laughing at Lucas’ jokes that made Gina forget her anger at Massimo, Lucas had a more pleasant personality than Massimo. When with Lucas like now Gina felt very pampered, that man Gina knows very well how to treat a woman. Unlike Massimo who doesn’t want to be denied, every word that comes out of his lips must be done by Gina. While Lucas doesn’t, he always asks for her opinion before doing anything.

"How do you like it?" Lucas slowly Gina shortly after he gave a taste of chocolate ice cream cone.

Gina nodded her head slowly. "Yeah, I like it. It’s delicious and not too sweet."

"Thank God, so my choice was not wrong," Lucas said softly, laughing widely.

Gina smiled, then licked her hand which was covered in melted ice cream without any shame. But when she was busy licking her hand, Lucas suddenly grabbed her wrist and glared at her.

"Luke, it hurts."

Lucas growled. "No, don’t ever lick your hands like this in front of a man, Gina. You have no idea how much of an effect what you’ve just done to a man can be, do you understand?"

"Y-yes, I understand."

Lucas slowly loosened his grip from Gina’s hand and chose to continue his journey to the Sanders family residence, it would be very dangerous to continue with Gina like this.

Gina herself chose to finish her ice cream right away so that the previous thing wouldn’t happen again and again and sat quietly beside Lucas, Lucas’ words still ringing in her head at this time.

After 20 minutes passed, Gina’s suffering finally ended, the car that Lucas was driving arrived at the gate of her house. However, just as Lucas was about to bring his luxury car inside, Gina suddenly stopped him and forbade him to enter first.

"What’s the matter, Gina?"

"Wait, let Selena and her friends go first," Gina answered quietly while pointing at Selena who was talking to her college friends who were picking her up.

"Your stepsister?"

Gina nodded her head. "Yes, my step sister."

"Why wait for her to leave? Are you afraid of her?"

"No, I’m not afraid of her. I just don’t want to hear her chatter, today I’m too tired from studying on campus. I don’t want to burden my brain with anything else."

Lucas smiled. "Alright then, let’s wait for them to leave first."

Five minutes later Lucas was driving into the Sanders house when Selena and her friends actually left. As soon as the car stopped, Gina immediately got down and asked Lucas to come inside, because it was getting late and the sun was starting to set, Gina intended to invite Lucas to join us for dinner.

Although he initially refused, Lucas finally accepted Gina’s invitation, with firm steps Lucas entered the Sanders family’s house. If previously Lucas came in an old-fashioned and grumpy appearance, this time Lucas came with his own style.

The messy hair, the unbuttoned shirt and leggings made Lucas look amazing. His handsome face looks even more charming, with an appearance like this no one knows that Luke is a mafia. Lucas’ casual appearance this time completely disguised his true identity.

"Welcome, Miss." Teresa greeted Gina politely.

"Is Daddy home yet?"

"Not yet, Miss. I just received news from Mrs. Vanessa who said that she and Mr. would have dinner together after Mr. finished a meeting with his business friend."

Gina raised an eyebrow. "Dinner together? Did Daddy and..."

"Yes Miss, they have made up. Last night they even slept in one room again," Teresa answered quickly, cutting Gina’s words.

Teresa’s words made Gina’s face change, it was very clear that at this time Gina was very disappointed in her father who had returned with her stepmother. Whereas previously Gina hoped that their quarrel would last a long time until finally her father wanted to divorce her stepmother, but it seems that Gina’s expectations are not in accordance with reality.
