His soul-Chapter 131: Diego’s oath
"Let’s go home, Francia. This is not our place."
"How much longer are you going to wait for Gina to come?"
"You don’t want to be called an intruder, do you?"
Brandon, who was still wearing his uniform, felt uncomfortable being watched by the guests who kept coming to the Sanders family’s house, lucky that he was with Francia at this time, otherwise his existence would certainly invite people’s suspicions.
"But Gina hasn’t come back, I have to talk a lot with her, Brandon," Francia said hoarsely as she continued to try to contact Gina after all the messages she sent were not answered by Gina.
Brandon took a deep breath. "I know, but now you come with me. Let’s get in my car, there’s something important I want to talk to you about."
"But..."
"It has something to do with Gina and her family."
Francia frowned. "You know Gina’s family?"
"A little."
"Brandon, I’m serious!!!"
Brandon, who had run out of patience then grabbed his wife’s hand firmly. "I’m twice as serious, now get in my car and don’t argue."
Because of Brandon’s strong grip, Francia couldn’t resist, she could only surrender when she was invited to enter her husband’s car, which was parked not far from the big gate of the Sanders family’s house, which was currently wide open due to the large number of cars entering the big house.
"Ok, now answer my question earlier!!" Francia immediately bombarded Brandon with questions as soon as her husband got into the car.
Brandon took a deep breath. "I really didn’t know Gina was the granddaughter of Yohanes Sanders, if I did I would have talked to her a lot."
"What do you mean?"
"Yohanes Sanders’ wife died unnaturally, Francia."
"What?!! You’re not joking, are you? This isn’t funny, Brandon."
Brandon shook his head. "I’m not joking, the death of Vanessa Sanders about a month ago I’m still investigating to this day. The car that the poor woman was driving was sabotaged, the brake cables and gasoline were cut.I already told Julian Sanders everything but until now Julian Sanders was silent, at first he was shocked and surprised after I told him this, but after that he never contacted us. He actually seemed indifferent and didn’t care, that’s why until now we didn’t continue this case again."
"Oh my God...does Gina know about this?"
"I don’t know, who came at that time was my subordinate."
Francia covered her mouth with both hands."Gina would be very sad to know that her grandmother died in an unnatural way," Francia said quietly.
Brandon was silent, he did not respond to his wife’s words. Right now he doesn’t want to talk much before meeting Gina in person, as a policeman Brandon can’t talk about the case he’s working on with other people, including his own wife.
"Then what do we do now, Brandon? I feel sorry for Gina, she’s still a child."
"We are outsiders, Francia. We can’t do anything..."
"But you’re a cop, you can expose this sabotage case to the public and find out who was behind the accident, Brandon!"
"No, it’s not that easy. We the police can’t just talk about the case if there’s no request from the family or the aggrieved party, my steps are restrained by the rules, Francia. I can’t do what I want." Brandon tried to explain to Francia in a way that was easy to understand.
Francia massaged her forehead which suddenly hurt and Brandon realized his wife’s condition became worried. "We’d better go home, you’re tired. Your face is pale."
"I’m just hungry, when I took Gina to the hospital I hadn’t eaten anything," said Francia slowly.
Brandon chuckled. "Ok let’s find a restaurant first then."
Francia, who was already weak, did not refuse her husband’s invitation to go home like before, at this time the worms in her stomach really couldn’t be compromised anymore. Hungry, Francia forgot Gina’s car keys which were in her shirt pocket.
Just as Brandon’s car was leaving, an all-black convoy of luxury cars drove sideways toward the Sanders house they had just left. In one of the cars, Gina’s figure was seen sitting next to a handsome man who was trying to calm her down and Francia didn’t see it. Francia was too hungry to be able to open her eyes again, and so was Brandon. The man was already concentrating on driving the car.

"Ok, we’ve arrived and promised not to do anything more," said Massimo quietly as the car stopped.
Gina did not respond to Massimo’s words, she was still annoyed at Massimo who had taken her home so casually. As soon as Martin opened the car door from outside, Gina got out of the car and walked quickly into the house, fortunately when she got home the casket had not been closed so that Gina could still see her grandfather’s face one last time.
When Gina touched the face of Yohanes Sanders, many people were confused, because Gina’s status had not been announced to the public, they did not know that Gina was Julian’s daughter.
Seeing Gina touch his father’s face, Julian, who had been sitting down for a while, then approached the coffin and wrapped his arms around Gina’s shoulders. "Grandpa isn’t sick anymore, honey. Grandpa is calm now."
"Grandpa is going to meet Grandma."
"Yeah you’re right, they’ll be together again now."
Hearing her father’s words, Gina immediately covered her face with both hands, she couldn’t hold back her tears any longer. Vanessa wrapped her arms around Gina’s waist.
"Don’t cry anymore, Grandpa will be sad if we continue to cry," Vanessa said softly as she stroked Gina’s back.
Gina, who was really fed up with Vanessa, wanted to push that woman away from her right now, but because they were currently in mourning, Gina restrained herself from doing what she wanted. She could only surrender and let Vanessa continue to act, showing how hurt she is at the moment when her father-in-law died. Even though Gina knew very well that the woman was actually very happy right now, her dream of becoming the ruler of the Sanders family had come true.
Meanwhile, from their seats, Selena and Rosa were staring at Gina with hatred as usual, the two girls sat next to Jesslyn, Diego’s new lover. The three of them were forced to sit quietly following the event that was about to end because Yohanes Sanders’ casket would be closed. When she was about to put her sunglasses back on, Selena was surprised by Massimo’s presence, Massimo’s presence at the Sanders house not only made Selena excited. All the other guests were excited when they saw the figure of this very feared man appear at the funeral of Yohanes Sanders.
"Massimo del Cano, why did that horrible man come to your house, Selena?" Jesslyn asked in a half whisper.
Selina smiled. "Of course because of me, that man is my future husband, Jesslyn."
"Huh?"
"I’m serious, Massimo and I have been betrothed since we weren’t even born. So it’s only natural that this man came now," Selena said again with very high self-confidence, her eyes staring like hungry wolves staring at Massimo who didn’t even look at her .
Since Massimo was coming closer to Gina’s coffin choosing to back away from it, she didn’t want to interact with Massimo in front of the crowd. In stark contrast to Selena who was already standing right beside Massimo, Selena would really be looking for trouble if she kept bothering Massimo, that shameless girl didn’t know how dangerous a Massimo del Cano was.
After everyone finished paying their last respects, finally Yohanes Sanders’ coffin was closed, several men then lifted the coffin and carried it out to be taken immediately to the cemetery. Yohanes Sanders’ body will be buried next to his wife’s body, which was just buried one month ago, the story of the two of them has become the talk of the community today.
Many people say that Yohanes Sanders actually kept his vows as long as he died at the altar when they married tens of years ago, no less than 40 days he chose to go after his wife who had left first. Because of that, at this time a lot of people have gathered in front of the Sanders family’s house, they also accompany the departure of Yohanes Sanders with a sense of emotion.
Gina continued to throw the flower she was holding onto Yohanes Sanders’ coffin one last time before the coffin was filled with earth, the same thing was done by the father and the others. Even Diego did it too, it had been almost a week since Gina had not seen the young man. Slowly the casket of yohanes Sanders was buried completely by the earth, once everything was finished the cross-shaped tombstone was then installed as the last thing.
It was clear that the name of Yohanes Sanders was engraved on the tombstone and Gina’s eyes filled with tears again. One by one, the bodyguards began to leave the grave, leaving behind the Sanders family, which is now headed by Julian.
"Relax in Grandpa’s heaven."
"Give our regards to Grandma, Grandpa."
"I will be a good mother to the children as Daddy wanted, continue to take care of us from up there, Daddy," Vanessa said softly in response to the words of her two daughters.
Julian smiled at his wife’s words. "You’ve been a good mother to our children, Vanessa."
"Not yet, Julian. I still have a lot to learn," Vanessa replied as lowly as ever.
"I’m lucky to have you, Vanessa. You are a great woman, I love you."
"I love you too Julian, we have to take care of each other from now on. It’s just the two of us right now."
Julian nodded his head, he then wrapped his arms around Vanessa’s waist again.
Gina could only silently hear the conversation of her father and stepmother, Gina finally realized that at this time she was really alone at home. No one can protect him but himself, the father is completely blinded by Vanessa’s fake kindness. And Gina was sure that if she said what Vanessa had been doing all this time her father would not believe her, because of that Gina promised to be even more vigilant from now on.
Because it was getting dark, Julian finally took his wife and children to go home, as the head of the family he had to make sure his wife and children were healthy. At first, it was a little hard for Gina to go home, but because the sky was getting darker, she complied with her father’s request to go home. When she was about to get into the car, Gina turned back to look behind her, staring at her grandfather’s grave which was still visible from where he was standing at this time.
"Calm down Grandpa, I’ll be fine. I can take good care of myself, convey my hugs and kisses to Grandma and my mother. I hope the three of you can gather and laugh happily up there," Gina said in her heart.
Because Rosa was already noisy, Gina finally got into the car and closed the car door slowly, not long after the three cars belonging to the Sanders family left the cemetery area to go back home.
Diego who was in the last car smiled at Gina who got into the last car, Diego slowly licked his lower lip. "After this we’ll see each other more often, Gina."
Diego’s smile widens when he imagines Gina’s beautiful body, all this time when he was making love with Kiara or with Jesslyn day and night Diego always imagined being fond of Gina. Diego is not a hypocrite, Gina’s slender and seductive body makes him tempted. Even though Gina always wears closed clothes, Diego can guess how beautiful Gina’s breasts are.
"Fuck, why am I imagining Gina’s body. Just look at Gina, once I live back in that house I won’t let you go. You must fall in my arms, I swear."
