His soul-Chapter 114: Second Pendant
Gina, who just came home when the sun was about to rise and had not slept at all, had to be surprised by a terrible news that she didn’t want to hear at all, accidentally hearing her father and uncle’s conversation made Gina almost fall if she didn’t lean against the wall.
Julian who was talking to Patrick didn’t even know where Gina was near them, the two of them were still talking about the police report that came last night.
"Why didn’t they report this as soon as possible after aunty was buried, Julian? Are you sure the policemen weren’t lying? Is the evidence clear?" Patrick again asked Julian who was sitting in a chair.
Julian took a deep breath. "I also don’t know for sure why the cop just told me something so important."
"Oh my God and you are now silent like this? Let’s go to the police station, we ask for more information," said Patrick vehemently, when he found out Barbara died because her car was sabotaged. That man was very angry.
"I can’t leave Daddy right now, Patrick. Last night when I was just taking the cops home, suddenly Daddy was having trouble breathing. I’ve lost Mommy and I’m not ready to lose Daddy."
"What do you mean by difficulty breathing?"
With teary eyes Julian recounted what had happened to his father last night, his voice hoarse as he spoke. It was obvious that Julian was very afraid of losing his father.
"Even though Daddy was fine before, when I entered his room suddenly Daddy was having trouble breathing. Luckily the doctor I called came on time, otherwise Daddy might be following Mommy, now."
"Watch your words, bastard. Even though I don’t really like Uncle Yohanes but I’m so sad to see him like that, trust me, uncle will get better and he will be able to get angry again as usual," Patrick rebuked quickly commenting on Julian’s words.
Julian ruffled his hair roughly, the man really looked really frustrated at the moment and Patrick could feel it. Friendship of more than 20 years allows Patrick to know the true condition of Julian’s heart without having to ask, Patrick gently pats Julian’s shoulder for support. Luckily, Vanessa and her two daughters weren’t there at the moment, so Patrick felt a little more comfortable. Since Julian married Vanessa 18 years ago, Patrick felt uncomfortable visiting his best friend’s house if his wife was there, that’s why when he knew that Vanessa was away, Patrick didn’t hesitate to come to Julian’s house.
With Gina’s limp body walking towards her grandfather’s room which was not far from where she stood, Gina wiped her tears when she saw the unconscious grandfather with various tubes attached to his body. Medical devices that Gina didn’t understand were of any use.
"It’s only been a week that you’ve been lying sick like this, why have you changed so much, Grandpa? Where did that evil old man I hate go? Why are you being like this?" Gina said hoarsely, she couldn’t bear to see her grandfather’s condition, which now looks much better. older than usual. Lying sick made Yohanes look a lot older, the wrinkles on his face became obvious and Gina didn’t like seeing that arrogant man like this.
Slowly, Gina touched Yohanes Sanders’ face gently, Gina’s all hatred for her grandfather had gone. All she wanted to do was touch the old man’s face right now, being this close to her grandfather made Gina realize where her father’s good looks came from.
Gina’s face was again wet with tears, being this close to her grandfather made her chest tight. Gina really did not understand why her grandfather had to be sick like this, even though before that the old man was very healthy. Losing the wife he loved so much really made Yohanes Sanders lose his zest for life.
Gina lowered her head as she felt the pain that hit her head, crying and not sleeping the whole night made her suffer. Damn Massimo!
When she was about to wake up suddenly, Gina saw something strange with the oxygen tube dangling on the side of her grandfather’s bed, with trembling hands Gina grabbed the oxygen tube that looked like it had just been folded. Gina narrowed her eyes when she realized that the hose seemed to have just been folded by someone, even though she didn’t see it directly but Gina was absolutely sure that someone had purposely blocked the oxygen delivery hose.
"This must be what made Grandpa’s condition worse last night," Gina said softly remembering her father’s words earlier.
With trembling hands, Gina touched her grandfather’s face again, but this time with tears running down her face.
"Get well soon, Grandpa. You owe me a lot, I also haven’t forgiven you. If you are sick like this I can’t hate you anymore," Gina said again while holding back the pain in her head that had doubled at this time.
A soft touch on her shoulder made Gina lift her head.
"Are you awake, honey?" said Julian gently to Gina, Julian didn’t know that Gina had just come home.
Gina nodded her head slowly. "Yes."
"Are you sick, honey? Your face is so pale," Patrick said quickly when he realized how pale Gina’s face was now. Who would be okay after crying all night without sleep? Of course not, right?
"I’m fine..."
Gina’s words stopped when suddenly her father touched her forehead. "Your body is hot, you have a fever dear. Go back to your room, you need to get plenty of rest. Grandpa is sick right now and Daddy doesn’t want to see you sick too."
"That’s right dear, you should get a lot of rest." Patrick joined Julian’s words quickly, it was obvious how worried he was about Gina right now.
"Do you need daddy to call a doctor for you, honey?"
Gina immediately waved her hands in the air against her father’s plan. "N-no need, I’m fine. Then I’ll go to bed right now." After saying that Gina went straight out of her grandfather’s room to her room with a quick movement.
Julian and Patrick chuckled at Gina’s adorable behavior, they didn’t find the oddity that Gina had just seen. Not wanting to disturb his sleeping father, Julian took Patrick out for breakfast together.
When Julian and Patrick suddenly left, Yohanes Sanders, who was unconscious, burst into tears, it seemed that the man’s subconscious had responded to all the words and touches that Gina had previously given him.
Regret does come too late.

As soon as she got to her room, Gina immediately threw herself onto her soft bed without changing clothes. Being on a motorcycle all night made Gina’s whole body feel crushed at this moment.
As Gina lay staring at the clean white ceiling of her room, slowly the terrible memories of Massimo came back. Gina who was about to sleep was immediately awake when the memory came back.
"Aargghhh... why do these memories have to come back, I really hate you, Massimo. I hate you so much," Gina screamed loudly as she covered her face with a pillow.
One of Gina’s habits since childhood is always screaming under the pillow so that her voice doesn’t come out, after venting her emotions Gina slowly dims. Her eyes also began to close, as if her whole body could no longer stay awake any longer. Not long after, Gina entered her dreamland still cursing Massimo.
Even though she had vented all her annoyance last night but still her hatred for Massimo was still there, the wound Massimo had made in Gina’s heart was really too deep at this point. Last night after a shower of more than two hours Gina then rode her favorite motorbike around the city of Barcelona and ended up at the Sagrada Familia.
In that extraordinary church, Gina poured all her annoyance on Massimo until her eyes hurt from crying for too long. When going home Gina again had to open her chest again when suddenly a strange man spoke in front of the Sagrada Familia. Fix, looks like Gina will hate Saturdays from now on.

"You’re crazy Diego, you have to be careful. Mommy doesn’t want to see you end up in jail!!!" Vanessa screamed hysterically.
Last night Vanessa accidentally saw her favorite son clamping Yohanes Sanders’ oxygen hose which in the end made the old man almost lose his life because he couldn’t breathe, lucky for Vanessa who saw Diego’s actions, not Julian. If Julian had seen it, maybe Diego was already in prison because he was thought to have attempted murder.
Vanessa deliberately went early in the morning to her son’s apartment to warn him not to do anything reckless again.
"I just want to help him quickly catch up with his wife, Mom. After all, if the old man dies Mommy will get benefits, right?" Diego asked casually without guilt.
Slap..
Unexpectedly Vanessa suddenly threw a slap across Diego’s face.
"Mom.."
"Watch your words, Diego. Be careful how you use your mouth to speak," Vanessa scolded loudly, cutting Diego’s words.
"Right now we’re in my apartment and there’s no one here besides Mommy and I, Jeslyn and the sisters are in the pool," Diego said again.
"Still you have to be careful, don’t talk nonsense. Especially when it comes to Barbara and Yohanes Sanders, remember Diego the walls have ears too. You have to be careful, we’ve come this far. Don’t let our plan fail, after all that old woman only died a week ago. If we got rid of the old man this quickly and people would be suspicious, you still remember the traces you left on that car, don’t you?"
Diego nodded his head. "Yes Mom, I’m sorry."
"Dear." Vanessa immediately touched Diego’s face with both hands. "Our victory is in sight, be careful. Don’t repeat the mistakes you made before. We’ve managed to get rid of the old woman, don’t let our efforts go to waste. This time you don’t have to interfere, let Mommy take care of that old bastard."
"Ok Mom, I’ll be more careful in the future," Diego said earnestly.
"Good boy, that’s new my son. Mommy’s dream of making you the sole heir to the Sanders family is one step away, so obey Mommy this time. Don’t do anything else without Mommy’s instructions."
Diego nodded his head quickly. "Yes Mom."
Vanessa smiled, lovingly she hugged her only son tightly. Every now and then the greedy woman kissed the top of her son’s head lovingly, the children Vanessa gave birth to were really evil just like her mother. Besides, it’s impossible for a snake to give birth to a chicken, right?
Above the nightstand where Diego’s favorite night light was hanging was a golden crescent-shaped pendant that was currently reflecting the sunlight streaming in through the curtains.
