His innocent wife is a dangerous hacker.-Chapter 600 Something was going on
"Nothing," Leo said flatly, his eyes already dropping back to his phone screen. He scrolled through emails with practiced indifference, completely ignoring the three people staring at him.
Jay’s jaw dropped.
"Nothing?" he repeated in outrage. "NOTHING? I just gave you the most emotionally vulnerable hug of my life. Your own brother. And you’re checking emails?"
"It was not emotionally vulnerable," Leo said without looking up. "It was uncomfortable and moist."
"Moist?!" Jay protested. "I’ll have you know my cheeks were perfectly dry!"
"Your lips were not."
Bella snorted and covered her mouth again.
Jay clutched his chest dramatically.
"You’re killing me, bro. Actually killing me. Your younger brother, who you’ve known since birth, who shared a room with you for fifteen years, you’re killing him right here at this table."
Leo scrolled to another email.
"Good."
Jace leaned back in his chair, clearly enjoying the show.
"He has a point, Jay. You did kiss him."
"On the cheek! Affectionately! As brothers do!"
"We are brothers," Jace pointed out calmly.
"Exactly! Real brothers! Same parents, same childhood, same trauma! That deserves at least some emotional acknowledgment!"
Leo finally looked up.
His expression was completely unimpressed.
"It deserves a tissue," he said. "Which I used."
Jay slumped in his chair dramatically.
"I cannot believe this betrayal. Bella Bell, back me up here. You’ve seen our baby photos. You know we used to be cute together."
Bella held up both hands, still smiling.
"I’m staying out of this. I’m just here for the entertainment."
"Traitor."
"Realist."

The next morning arrived with the quiet efficiency of a well-organized departure.
Staff moved smoothly through the resort, loading luggage into waiting cars, checking rooms for forgotten items, ensuring everything was in order before the guests left. The mountain air was crisp and cool, carrying the scent of pine trees and damp earth, along with the promise of another beautiful day in the valley, even if none of them would remain long enough to enjoy it.
Dominique stood near the entrance, trying very hard to look casual.
He was failing completely.
His eyes kept drifting toward the resort doors, scanning every person who stepped through them before quickly looking away again when it wasn’t who he was searching for. He had already checked at least forty-seven times in the past twenty minutes.
Jason leaned heavily against his shoulder, completely dead to the world.
He had stayed up all night playing some online game, stubbornly refusing to log off until he had defeated a group of strangers somewhere across the internet. His body had finally given up around sunrise. Now his head rested against Dom’s shoulder, his mouth slightly open, soft snores escaping every few seconds.
Dom didn’t move him.
Partly because he was a good friend.
Mostly because he needed the distraction.
Leo and Bella stood near their car while silent, efficient bodyguards loaded their luggage into the trunk with practiced precision. Leo’s hand rested lightly on the small of Bella’s back, a quiet habit she had come to love. It was a small gesture, but it made her feel grounded.
Nearby, Jay and Jace stood close together.
Not touching.
But close enough that anyone paying attention would notice the subtle gravity pulling them toward one another.
Bella noticed immediately.
Her entire face lit up.
She looked directly at them and wiggled her eyebrows.
Cutely.
Exaggeratedly.
The kind of eyebrow wiggle that loudly announced I know everything and I am absolutely not going to be subtle about it.
Jay’s face turned red almost instantly.
He shot her a desperate look that clearly said stop it right now.
Jace simply shook his head, though a small amused smile tugged at the corner of his mouth.
Bella wiggled her eyebrows even harder.
Leo noticed.
His gray eyes narrowed slightly as his gaze flicked between Bella’s mischievous expression, Jay’s flustered panic, and Jace’s calm amusement.
He didn’t say anything.
He simply filed the information away, the way he always did.
Something was going on.
He would examine it later.
"You’re also leaving somewhere?"
Dom’s voice suddenly cut through the morning air.
It sounded startled.
And hopeful.
Everyone turned.
Hazel was walking toward them.
A small suitcase rolled behind her as she crossed the stone courtyard. She wore simple clothes today. Dark jeans. A soft sweater. Her hair was loose and fell naturally around her shoulders, partially covering the scarred side of her face.
Leo’s eyebrows lifted slightly.
"Yeah," Hazel said as she stopped near them. Her eyes moved from Leo to Bella, then briefly, very briefly, toward Dom before returning again. "I guess I’ve had enough of hiding. It’s time to go back."
She looked directly at Leo.
Leo stared at her for a long moment.
Then slowly, something rare appeared on his face.
Pride.
"Good," he said simply.
Hazel’s lips curved into a small smile.
Behind them, Dom’s heart did something complicated.
Hazel was leaving.
But she was leaving with them.
Which meant—
"She’s coming with us?" Dom asked, trying to sound casual and failing miserably.
Hazel glanced at him sideways.
"Is that a problem?"
"No. No problem. Great. Fantastic. More people for the car ride. Love people. Love car rides."
Jason, still half asleep on Dom’s shoulder, muttered lazily, "You’re so obvious."
Dom elbowed him.
Jason didn’t wake up.
Bella grinned, thoroughly entertained by the entire situation.
Leo watched his cousin. Then Dom. Then his cousin again.
He said nothing but the corner of his mouth twitched slightly.
To be honest, Leo could clearly see that Dom liked Hazel.
It was obvious in the way Dom’s eyes kept drifting toward her whenever he thought no one was watching. In the way he stood a little straighter whenever she entered a room. In the way he had just asked, with barely concealed hope, whether she was coming with them.
The man was about as subtle as a flashing neon sign.
But Leo could not ignore the facts.
Hazel stood here now in casual clothes. Her hair was loose. Her scar was visible. She was speaking normally. Making eye contact. Offering small, genuine smiles that reached her eyes.
She looked lighter.
More carefree.
Or at least more carefree than she had looked in years.
Dom had done that. Not alone, perhaps but he had been the catalyst.
The one who had followed her to the waterfall. The one who had shown her the truth about Nicolas.
