His innocent wife is a dangerous hacker.-Chapter 467 - 466 Obedient and sweet
Bella snuggled closer, sliding into his arms the moment he opened them for her. His body heat wrapped around her like something safe and steady, and she could feel his slow breath brushing the top of her head. Her hand rested on his chest, listening to the deep, familiar rhythm that had comforted her more times than she could count.
The cold air outside and the warm press of his body around her felt like two worlds meeting in the most perfect way, unreal and beautiful. She curled closer, sighing contentedly against him, and Leo tightened his hold, resting his chin lightly on her hair as if he couldn’t sleep without feeling her right there.
"Goodnight, bunny," he whispered softly into her hair.
"Goodnight, Wolfie," she murmured, her voice sleepy and sweet.
Wrapped in his arms, Bella fell asleep feeling loved... and Leo held her as if the entire world outside the tent could collapse and he still wouldn’t let her go.
Morning light slipped gently through the thin fabric of the tent, soft golden rays stretching across the blankets like warm fingers. Bella stirred under the covers, her lashes fluttering as she slowly drifted awake. For a moment she didn’t know where she was, only warmth, softness, and the faint scent of pine and dew lingered in her half-dreaming mind.
Then she inhaled again.
A warm, familiar scent wrapped around her, that mix of clean soap, masculine warmth, and something uniquely Leo. She blinked her eyes open fully.
The first thing she saw was his back, broad and muscular, perfectly framed by the slant of morning light. He was crouched beside his travel bag, his hair messy and dark, his shirt pulled tight across his shoulders as he searched for something inside. Even in such a simple posture, he looked unfairly handsome, as if the morning had been painted just to highlight him.
"Leo..." Bella’s voice came out small and sleepy, the sound of someone not fully ready to leave the comfort of dreams.
He looked back instantly.
And the smile that touched his lips was soft enough to melt the coldest place in her chest. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
"Good morning, bunny," he whispered, walking back to her with quiet steps. He leaned down and brushed a feather-light kiss on her lips.
He was about to stand and leave again when Bella reached out instinctively, her arms looping around his neck, pulling him closer with the softest cling. She buried her face against his skin, her nose brushing the warm spot just beneath his jaw, and she rubbed her head gently like a sleepy kitten seeking comfort.
"What are you doing so early in the morning..." she mumbled, her voice muffled against his neck.
Leo exhaled a slow breath, the corners of his lips curling as his arms came around her, lifting her slightly so she could curl even closer. Her warmth fit perfectly against him, her sleepy clinging making something deep in his chest soften helplessly.
"I had a meeting to attend online," he murmured, brushing a palm over her back in slow, soothing circles. "But someone woke up and grabbed me like I’m her morning pillow."
Bella hummed softly, refusing to let go. "You smell so nice," she whispered, her fingers curling in the collar of his shirt. "Don’t go..."
Leo chuckled quietly, that low warm sound that always made her heart trip, and he kissed the top of her head, lingering there for a moment. The morning was cold outside, but in his arms she felt wrapped in something warm and safe.
"I won’t," he whispered against her hair. "Not if you hold me like this."
Bella only tightened her arms, snuggling deeper against him, and Leo stayed exactly where she wanted him.
She kissed his neck, soft and slow, her warm breath brushing his skin. Leo froze for a heartbeat, a quiet shiver rolling down his spine in a way he didn’t even try to hide. Her lips were gentle, almost lazy with sleepiness, and it made his whole body soften.
"Why are you having a meeting..." she murmured, hugging him tighter, her voice warm and drowsy. "We’re supposed to be resting..."
Leo’s eyes fluttered for a moment, just at how sweetly she complained, and then he wrapped both arms around her, pulling her onto his lap as if she belonged there.
"I know," he whispered, kissing the crown of her head. "But I’ll be done by the time you wash up. It’s an emergency meeting. I can’t skip it, bunny... you understand, right?" His lips brushed her hair again, slow and tender.
Bella rested her cheek on the side of his neck, her fingers stroking the edge of his collar. "Mm... I won’t disturb you," she mumbled gently.
Leo let out a soft laugh, warm enough to melt the air between them. "You never disturb me, bunny," he whispered, tucking her hair behind her ear. "You’re very obedient."
Bella leaned back just enough to look at him, her brown eyes wide and sparkling like morning light on water. "Really?" she asked, almost shyly, as if the praise warmed her from the inside.
"Really," he said, cupping her cheek with one hand. "Even when you turned into little Bella."
She blinked. "Even then?"
Leo nodded, his expression turning softer than she had ever seen. "Even little Bella is obedient and sweet. She never bothered me at all." He leaned in and tapped her nose with a kiss. "You just wanted to be held... not a disturbance."
Bella’s breath hitched softly, her heart swelling at how gently he said it.
"So sweet," he whispered again, brushing his thumb across her jawline. "You were adorable."
Bella hid her face in his chest, hugging him tighter, her voice muffled and shy. "Don’t tease me..."
Leo smiled against her hair and tightened his arms around her, letting her warmth sink into him for a few quiet, perfect seconds.
"You’re my peace, bunny," he murmured. "Never a disturbance."
She smiled against his skin.
"Now go and get ready," he said, brushing his thumb over her cheek before putting her to the side and standing up. "Breakfast is almost ready and waiting for you, alright?"
"Alright..." she whispered, still a bit sleepy, still warm from his embrace.
