Chapter 460: Chapter 460 Birthday gift

Bella whispered, "Waaaah... so romantic..."

Scarlett looked shocked. "You sneaky brat! And you didn’t even tell me!?"

"Because I don’t even know who she is myself, okay?! I don’t know her car number, or anything else..." he thought. He should have hacked and found all her information, but sadly, the forest didn’t even have cameras.

Jason grinned like a devil. "See? He’s been in love this whole time."

Dominique buried his face in his hands, whining, "Stoppppp! You’re exposing meeee!"

Meanwhile, Leo’s brows drew together. His mind clicked on a detail.

Red Snake tattoo.

Blue eyes.

Mysterious woman.

Forest at night.

He knew someone who matched that description: his cousin. She had vanished from society two years ago, after an accident stole her hearing and scarred her face. She hated crowds, despised the world, and refused to interact with anyone.

Yet it couldn’t be her. Since the accident, she never approached strangers. She never spoke to anyone. Above all, she didn’t trust men.

Yet Dominique described her perfectly.

Leo frowned deeper, staring at Dom with a strange, unreadable expression.

Could it actually be her? No, the idea was absurd. What was he thinking? She avoided going outside entirely, let alone meeting strangers. She didn’t even see him or Jay anymore.

After the dance, they grilled barbecue together and savored the rest of the evening. Later, everyone presented their gifts to Bella, who thanked them warmly before placing the presents inside her tent. By ten o’clock, the group had retired for the night.

Bella pushed aside the soft flap of their tent, her little feet padding quietly across the smooth carpeted floor. The string lights outside cast a warm golden glow that seeped through the roof, making the entire space feel dreamy and magical. Their tent was huge, almost like a tiny private room, the ground layered with thick mattresses, blankets folded neatly, and an explosion of pillows everywhere, so soft and plush that Bella wanted to dive straight into them.

She had just washed her face at the little outdoor washroom tent, her cheeks pink from the cool night breeze. She wore the comfy pajamas Leo had packed for her – light cotton, soft to touch, sleeves a little oversized.

Inside, Leo sat against the cushioned wall, one knee bent, scrolling through his phone with that relaxed, almost dangerous elegance that belonged only to him. His other hand tapped lightly against his thigh in a steady rhythm. The moment he sensed her, his eyes lifted, sharp at first then instantly softening.

"Bunny..." he called, his voice low and warm.

Bella didn’t walk to him — she bounced. She hopped straight toward him like a tiny happy rabbit and threw herself into his side, curling against his arm and rubbing her cheek on his sleeve.

"Thank you, Wolfie... I liked everything," she whispered into him, her voice as soft as the night wind outside.

Leo’s chest warmed. She didn’t know how adorable she looked hugging him like that, hair messy from the breeze, eyes sparkling from the fun she had. He tilted his head slightly, brushing a kiss onto her temple.

"I got you a gift," he murmured.

Bella’s head jerked up instantly.

"Where?? What gift??" she asked, eyes huge, already sitting up straight like a little squirrel waiting for a nut.

Leo chuckled, amused by how quickly excitement lit her face. He reached behind him and pulled out a beautifully wrapped box, matte cream paper tied with a deep red satin ribbon.

Bella’s eyes shimmered. "For me?"

"Open it, bunny," Leo said, watching her with a small smile tugging at his lips.

Bella eagerly untied the ribbon with clumsy, fast fingers. The paper crinkled softly as she pulled it away, and then she lifted the lid of the box.

Her breath caught.

Inside, everything was arranged so beautifully, it felt like opening a tiny treasure chest.

Soft rose-gold tissue paper cushioned each item. The first thing she noticed were the chocolate bars but not normal ones. Each was wrapped in pastel foils, tied with tiny bows, some shaped like hearts, others like stars. Under them nestled a delicate glass rose, its petals tinted the softest blush pink with flecks of gold dust that shimmered when the light caught it.

Bella’s lips parted in awe. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

Next, she spotted a tiny cream teddy bear, no bigger than her palm, wearing a miniature black suit and red bowtie, made to look exactly like Leo. She gasped.

Behind it sat a pair of elegant earrings, dainty and minimalistic, small pearls hugged in a delicate halo of crystals. There were pretty hair pins too, gold leaves, tiny butterflies, white blossoms crafted with beautiful detail, all things Bella loved without even saying.

And beneath all this, nestled in a velvet pocket...

Her fingers trembled when she lifted it.

A stunning minimalist ring.

A slender band of soft white gold with a single teardrop gem, pale blue and sparkling like frozen dawn light, sat on top. It was simple, elegant, almost shy...but breathtaking.

Bella stared, her lips quivering softly.

"Leo..." she whispered, voice thin.

Leo reached out and gently took her wrist, guiding her trembling hand. "Do you like it?" he asked quietly.

Bella’s breath trembled as she looked up at him, her eyes soft and glossy.

"It’s beautiful... it’s all so beautiful..." she whispered, voice as gentle as the night breeze outside. Then she lifted her gaze again, cheeks warm and eyes glowing. "Wolfie... can you help me wear it?" she asked softly.

Leo’s lips curved in a slow, tender smile. He took the ring from the velvet pocket, the pale-blue gem catching the golden glow of the tent lights. He held her hand with surprising gentleness, brushing his thumb over her knuckles before sliding the ring onto her finger, fitting it perfectly in place as if it had always belonged there.

Bella’s eyes widened in amazement. She lifted her hand close to her face, admiring the ring as if it were a tiny piece of magic. Then, shyly, she took Leo’s hand in both of hers and lifted it to her lips, kissing each knuckle one by one with soft little pecks.

"Thank you..." she murmured, her voice warm and full of emotion.

Leo didn’t let her finish. He wrapped his fingers under her chin and tilted her face up gently.

"Don’t thank me, bunny," he whispered, voice low and warm. "I’m your husband."

Before Bella could respond, he pulled her into his arms, hugging her so tightly she melted against him. Her soft, warm body fit perfectly against his hard chest as he breathed her in, feeling the tiny tremble of her happiness sink straight into him.

Bella nuzzled closer, hugging him back with all her softness, the ring on her finger catching the faint glow of light.
