Her Food Livestream Broke the Galaxy-Chapter 45: Jiang Qiuqiu’s Future Development Direction, Part 2
The matter of showing her face was set aside for now.
Meimei wasn’t a senior editor, but she had put a lot of thought into Jiang Qiuqiu. She straightforwardly gave her a few suggestions, "These are just some things for you to consider."
"First, you might want to consider reducing the frequency of your streams. If you stream too often, it’s inevitable that you’ll start repeating menu items. A little repetition is fine, but repeating dishes on a large scale will affect your reputation."
"Repeating dishes? Hmm... That’s not something you need to worry about for the time being." Jiang Qiuqiu’s mind was connected to the most magnificent culinary culture in the world: the Eight Great Cuisines of China. It encompassed dozens of cooking methods like pan-frying, stir-frying, stewing, deep-frying, boiling, steaming, and baking. She also had extensive knowledge of various Western-style pastries, beverages, and desserts.
’It would probably take three to five years to exhaust her repertoire.’
She said it so casually, but Meimei was stunned. "How many recipes do you have?"
"I can’t give you an exact number off the top of my head, but I should have enough to last for a year or two without any issues."
Meimei: ...
She scanned Jiang Qiuqiu from head to toe. ’Did she awaken memories of Ancient Earth? How could she have so many recipes!?’
It had to be said, she had stumbled upon the truth on that point.
"Setting the recipes aside for a moment, have you thought about expanding your streaming format?" As a loyal fan, she hadn’t missed any of the special streams. "You’ve made two slow-paced dishes before, the rice noodle rolls and the cake. I watched them, and the process didn’t seem overly complicated. Could you release some tutorial-style video series in the future?"
A combination of cooking and teaching.
"Because once you reach Level 4 Streamer, your channel will unlock a guest feature. You’ll be able to go live with fans who are willing to appear on camera, which will lead to much richer stream content—"
"I can do that." Jiang Qiuqiu understood. "I’ll look into that feature carefully."
"I believe in you!"
Meimei mused at how calm and easy to communicate with the highly talented Jiang Qiuqiu was, then offered her final piece of advice. "If you really have that many recipes, you could also release video series. For example, you could spend several consecutive days focusing on how to prepare a single category of food. That would be more cohesive."
"Grouping the videos into a playlist later on will also make it easier to attract more fans."
"Like ’One Hundred Ways to Cook a Gugu Beast’?" Jiang Qiuqiu remarked offhandedly.
Meimei’s eyes widened in shock. Her mouth moved faster than her brain as she blurted out, utterly stunned, "A Gugu Beast can be cooked one hundred different ways?!"
"It seems a video series like that would probably attract a lot of viewers."
An editor at the Federation Live Broadcast Company was considered a high-income earner in Federal Star City. Meimei herself was a graduate of Federation University’s business department and came from a well-off family, so she was a worldly and knowledgeable person.
If even she was this shocked to hear about a hundred ways to cook a Gugu Beast, one could only imagine the reaction of the average person.
After chatting a bit more about the video series, Jiang Qiuqiu finally concluded, "When I first started streaming, I had limited funds, so I couldn’t afford to do a series."
"Switching to a series now would be a bit abrupt. Autumn is approaching on the interstellar calendar. Once the weather cools down, I’ll release a series on more nourishing and hearty dishes."
"That sounds like a good plan." 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
"You have your own unique perspective and vision when it comes to food. If there’s ever something you want to do, just tell me directly. I’ll carefully consider your opinion before we decide how to proceed."
"In that case, thank you in advance for your flexibility, Editor." Jiang Qiuqiu extended her right hand. "I look forward to our partnership."
As they shook hands, Meimei added, "Calling me ’Editor’ is too formal. You can just call me Sister Mingmei."
’Sister?’
"How old are you, Editor?" she asked. ’For all I know,’ she thought, ’if you added up my ages from my past and present lives, Meimei might have to be the one calling *me* ’sister’.’
The thought had barely crossed her mind when the woman beside her spoke—
"I’m forty-three."
Jiang Qiuqiu: —BLEEP—
"How old?"
"Forty-three."
"..."
’I concede defeat.’
It was the first time Jiang Qiuqiu had been so incredulous. She stared at Meimei, unable to see any trace of a forty-three-year-old woman in her.
