Her Dark Desires-Chapter 77: No One Else But You.
Sloane entered Henry’s studies without knocking and said, "You have been in your study for a long time, don’t you want to have a break?"
"I will take a break when I feel tired," Henry replied without taking his eyes off his laptop. It’s been a week since he gave Eliana the divorce papers, and he was expecting her to rub it in on Sloane’s face, but so far, she has been silent and has instead sent him investors for his business.
The fact that Sloane doesn’t even know that they have now been divorced makes him feel guilty to the point that he has started to avoid her.
After telling her he wasn’t tired, Henry was expecting Sloane to leave him alone, but instead, she walked behind and placed her hand on his shoulder, saying, "Now that it’s just the two of us in the house, why don’t we use this opportunity to fix our marriage. Go on dates like we used to and..."
Henry shook her off and said, "We aren’t kids anymore."
Sloane scoffed and closed his laptop "Don’t tell me you are still angry about the Jerry thing? It was only one time and I did it for you."
"I know it wasn’t just once, your affair lasted for a month."
"How did you...."
"Just go away, Sloane; I’m not in the mood for an argument."
"So is this are we going to be? Are we going to live like two strangers or will you bring your mistresses into the house as well?"
"Sloane..." Henry’s words got cut off when Sloane kissed him, but he pushed her away and said, "I’m not in the mood, and if you don’t allow me to work, then I’m leaving."
Sloane watched as he packed his things and left the study. Her cheeks were flushed with embarrassment at the rejection she just suffered and her eyes burned with unshed tears. If Eliana hadn’t revealed the truth about her affair, then this would never have happened. She must do something about Henry because, at this rate, he might end up asking for a divorce again.
...
SANDERS GROUP.
Cafeteria.
Karis and Cristal both sat down on an empty seat after collecting their food and began discussing.
"How is your project?" Karis asked her friend, who looked stressed out.
"It’s going well, this project will get me the recognition I need," Cristal said. To her, the only down part about it was that all information now goes from Ethan to Zachary.
"My department head is looking for a model for our Jewelry brand, and so far, she keeps rejecting the ones we suggest to her," Karis complained with a sighed
"Why?"
"She said she wants the best model, and the best Model at the moment is Eliana Sanders, the boss’s wife," Karis whispered.
Cristal froze for a moment and quickly regained her composure as she asked, "Since she is the boss’s wife, shouldn’t she do it for free? After all, it is her husband’s company."
"That is what I thought, but when we reached out to her manager, she said her schedule was too full to put us in," Karis said.
Cristal scoffed and said, "Then look for someone else; there are so many models who are better than her anyway."
"The departmental head wants her, especially since she is a hot cake right now."
"I don’t see anything special about her; her only luck is that she is married to a Sanders, and that’s all," Cristal said bitterly.
Karis frowned as she noticed the grudge in Cristal’s voice but said nothing. They continued their meal and got ready to return to their work.
...
Zachary and Eliana decided to eat out tonight. They had their dinner at a five-star restaurant and decided to take a walk before going home.
"Zach look, it’s a swing," Eliana said with a smile as she saw an empty swing. She immediately dragged Zach with her and sat on the swing, saying, "Push me."
Zachary laughed and started pushing her gently.
Eliana’s laughter could be heard as Zach pushed her, and even he found himself smiling, seeing that his wife was having fun.
After a few more pushes, Eliana just sat on the swing and focused her attention on the bright moon.
"It’s beautiful," Eliana whispered. She looked at Zach and said "Should we go on a vacation? Now that I think about it, we never went on our honeymoon."
"Where do you want to go?" Zach asked softly.
"Different places. I want to go away for like a week. It will just be you and me and, of course, Leo." 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
"No, no Leo. Just you and me. We can leave tonight if you want."
Eliana scoffed and said, "I know how busy you are with your company’s latest project, and speaking about your company, I received an offer to become the model for your new Jewelry set."
"Did you accept?"
"I’m planning to once you add ten percent to the amount you planned on paying me," Eliana said.
"Consider it done. I will inform them to agree to your every request."
Eliana stood up from the swing and turned to look at Zach "It was a joke. Why do you always agree to my every request?"
Zachary stroked her hair as he said, "Because I find it difficult to say no to you."
Eliana looked at him for a moment without saying anything before she suddenly asked "So I make you happy, Zach?"
Zach wondered what brought about such a question, but he didn’t ask her. Instead, he leaned to join their forehead together as he whispered, "More than you know it, Eli."
"So that means we will always be together, right?"
"It means nothing can separate us. Remember our vows?"
Eliana nodded.
"I meant every word I said. I will love and cherish you till the day I die. I won’t ask why you are suddenly asking me this, but I want you to always remember this: whenever you feel this insecurity, always look at your wedding ring."
"Why the ring?" Eliana asked. Apart from his grandma’s ring which he had used to propose to her, Zach had given her another ring on their wedding day.
"I designed it myself and it was only for the woman who caused me sleepless nights."
Eliana looked at the ring on her middle finger and was amazed that it was Zach who designed it himself. A smile etched on her face as she said "I love you."
"I love you, I desire you and I want you, no one else but you," Zach said before leaning in to kiss her.
The both of them shared a kiss under the bright moonlight, but for a reason, Eliana couldn’t shake off the uncomfortable feeling she was having.
