Her Dark Desires-Chapter 54: Zachary Advice To Kai

"Please take me in as your brother." Those were the words Kai said immediately when Zachary walked into his secret room.

Zachary looked at his brother, who was already looking at Kai with a frown, and asked, "What’s wrong with him?"

"Maybe he is beginning to lose his mind," Ryan replied. He didn’t like the fact that Kai had dared to ask Zachary to take him as his brother. In this lifetime, Zachary Sanders will forever have one brother and that is him.

"Did you know Marcelo would order his men to kidnap you, and apart from that, how did you get Gerald to betray him because that man worshiped the floor Marcelo walked on? Just who are you, Zachary Sanders, and how the hell were you able to destroy the Casiso family in less than a week." One could sense the admiration for Zach in his voice.

"Before I answer your questions, I need you to answer mine."

"Go ahead, ask me anything," Kai said.

"Were you aware your father-in-law was involved in human trafficking?" Zachary asked coldly.

Kai raised his brow in surprise "Human trafficking?"

"You have been married to that family for five years, but yet you didn’t know that your precious father-in-law is a human trafficker. No wonder the man thought you weren’t fit to run his business." Ryan scoffed and was glad to see a glint of anger in his eyes.

"Given the surprise in your eyes, I guess you didn’t know," Zachary replied while giving his brother a look.

"Don Marcelo was a man who lived strongly by his rules, and one of those rules was that women and children should not be touched. Why would he bother creating a rule he didn’t even follow?" Kai asked in anger.

"Because of the way he became the new Don. My guess is he wanted to earn respect, and the best method he could come up with was to sound like a hero. After all, no one would easily respect a man who killed his brother just to become the head of the Casiso family."

"But those were all rumors. There was no proof that he killed his brother."

"His brother died in a car explosion with his only kid, and even though Marcelo blamed their rival, it was odd that his brother’s assistant, who had always followed him, suddenly wasn’t with him on the day of the car explosion, and the next day he was found dead," Ryan said with a sighed.

"The wife went mad from losing both her husband and son and according to Marcelo, killed herself," Zachary added. "Even though Marcelo became the head of the Casiso family, a lot of people found it odd and they began to whisper and these whispers brought about rumors which would have led to an investigation by the other Mafia heads and to show the world that he was a saint he made those rules while kidnapping young girls and women and putting them up for sale."

"What a bastard!" Kai muttered under his breath, clenching his fist in anger.

Zachary looked at him and was at least glad that Kai was repulsed by the idea. "To be honest, I have no issues with the Casiso family. I only want Mason, and it seems his father has hidden him well because even Ryan is finding it difficult to track him down."

"He must have kept him in one of his safe houses. I have heard that the Don has many safe houses, each in remote areas. I think it will take a while before you find him." Kai said.

Ryan scoffed and asked, "Are you underestimating me?"

"Never," Kai said with a forced smile. He looked at Zach and asked, "I find it impressive that you were able to gather all this information in such a short time, but still, how were you able to turn Gerald against Marcelo? I have seen personally how loyal Gerald was to the Don."

"Everyone has a weakness, Kai, and a loyal dog like Gerald is no different."

Kai frowned as he said, "The man has no wife, neither does he have any kid, so what exactly is Gerald’s weakness?"

"Scarlett Flynn, his obsession," Zachary replied with a cruel smirk. "With a brother in the military and a commander who owns me favors, it wasn’t that hard to get information on everyone close to Marcelo, and the only one I could find useful to me was Gerald. So I found out everything about him and studied his file. Scarlett Flynn was a woman who worked in one of Marcelo’s favorite bars, and then Gerald fell in love with her, and they began an affair.

Two weeks into their secret affair, Scarlett went missing and a colleague of hers named Anne said she ran away with a lover of hers. Heartbroken, Gerald tried to find her, but he couldn’t, and the girl Anne became his new stress reliever. I had Ryan’s friend named Colt pay a visit to Anne, and it turned out that Marcelo had paid her five million dollars to tell Gerald that lie, and another reason she did it was because she was in love with Gerald and felt her friend Scarlett did not deserve him."

"We were able to find all the warehouses where he usually kept his girls, and they have all been arrested," Ryan added.

"But there was no news about it. Something huge like human trafficking always makes the news." Kai said with a frown.

"The news will come but only after Marcelo’s suicide," Zachary said. It was obvious the so-called suicide was not going to be a suicide.

"So was this Scarlet among the women you saved?" Kai asked.

"No, she wasn’t. A woman who was in charge of the girls, however, said she remembered Scarlet. According to her, a day after Scarlett was brought in, they found out that she was pregnant, and regardless of that, Marcelo wanted to force himself on her, and when she couldn’t take it anymore, she killed herself. If you were Gerald, what would you have done to Marcelo?" 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

"I would kill him and feed his body to the dogs," Kai said in anger, he couldn’t even imagine anyone harming his wife.

Zachary looked at Kai for a minute and said "A word of advice, Kai Robert. Once you become the new head of the Casiso family, ensure you get rid of Gerald as well."

"You want me to get rid of Gerald? Isn’t he on our side?" Kai asked in surprise.

Before Zachary could reply, Ryan intervened "Are you an idiot? Gerald isn’t on our side; he is currently high on his emotions and just wants revenge."

"I know nothing about the Mafia, nor do I wish to learn about you guys, but remember these words I will say to you now. Never allow your tools to become something else to you. After fulfilling it’s used, it’s best to dispose of it. Gerald is our tool that we are using to get rid of Marcelo and after he has fulfilled his use, what next do you think must be done?" Zachary asked coldly.

With a determined glint in his eyes, Kai replied, "He must be disposed of."
