Her Dark Desires-Chapter 45: Jason Secret Love

It’s been three days since Sloane suggested to Amber to sleep with Jason and although she was reluctant, she knew it was the only way. Marrying Jason was better than marrying Nolan and seeing the way the old was staring at her lustfully made her resolution stronger.

"You have even become more beautiful than the last time I saw you?" Nolan said with a smile. He was a fifty-four-year-old man who looked older than his age and had been rumored to sexually harass his female workers, but no one dared to report him because of his high status in Rosehill City.

Amber shuddered and wondered why this man had insisted on meeting her in this restaurant; at least he could not do anything to her in this public place.

"Order whatever you want, I don’t mind paying for it." Nolan creepily stated.

"A glass of juice is fine," Amber replied coldly.

Nolan ignored her cold attitude and called for the waiter to take their orders. He didn’t mind her coldness because he already had plans to make her an obedient wife once they sealed the deal.

"Why did you want us to meet? Don’t you know that already meeting you here might damage my career?" Amber asked with a frown.

Nolan laughed loudly, making some people in the restaurant glance at them, and Amber badly wanted to hide her face in shame. What will people say if they find out that she is currently on a date with this old fatso? Her skin crawled in disgust as she saw his dirty teeth when he laughed and at this moment, she felt grateful to her mother for giving her an alternative. Indeed, marrying Jason was so much better than marrying this old pig.

A phone call interrupted them and realizing it was his phone, Nolan picked it up from the table and answered his call.

Amber watched as his smiling face changed into a frown and almost let out a sigh of relief when he stood up and excused himself.

"I have to go, there was an emergency at my construction site. I guess the next time we meet, we will be husband and wife, right?"

Amber forced a smile on her face and replied "Yes."

After he left, Amber drank her juice and decided to use the restroom before leaving only to trip and was about to fall when she felt a hand on her waist, holding her firmly.

Amber’s eyes, which were closed as she waited for the impact of her supposed fall, slowly opened, and the pair of brown eyes that were staring at her made her feel like the heavens were helping her.

"Are you all right?" Jason, her savior asked.

"I’m fine. Thank you for saving me, it would have been so embarrassing." Amber said with a slight blush on her face.

Jason smiled and replied, "I guess the Moore sisters have a thing for almost falling on the floor."

Amber smile almost faltered when she heard him, but she quickly regained her composure "Have you spoken to Eliana recently?"

Jason’s smile disappeared when Amber asked him that question. Ever since that day at the agency, he hasn’t spoken to her and no matter the amount of messages he has sent her, there was no response.

"Did you and her fight? I can guess from the look on your face."

"We just had a misunderstanding, that’s all," Jason replied, forcing a smile on his face.

"I don’t know if I should say this or not but...."

"Tell me, is it something about Eliana?" Jason asked in a concerned tone. He was truly beginning to get worried about her. What if that Zachary guy had harmed her?

"Should we sit and talk?"

Jason nodded, and they sat down, he watched as Amber drank the juice in front of her and licked her lips. His eyes followed the direction of her tongue, and a thought came to him. A thought he quickly dismissed and scolded himself for thinking such. What was wrong with him? How could he think such nonsense?

"Day by day, Eliana’s attitude towards our family is becoming worse. It is as if she is intent on destroying us even though we have done nothing but show her love and care." Amber sadly stated.

"What are you talking about?" Jason asked with a frown.

"Eliana got into an accident and she lost her baby, and when Mom heard the news, she rushed to the hospital because a part of her still sees Eliana as her daughter, but instead of feeling grateful, Eliana....." Amber eyes became teary, and she behaved as if she was finding it difficult to hold her tears.

"What did Eliana do?"

"She attacked our mother and left her in a barely conscious state," Amber said, finally allowing her tears to fall.

"Hold on. What you are saying can’t be true, Eliana is not a violent person."

"It’s okay for you to defend her. After all, she is your friend. After Eliana stole my husband away from me, I still wanted her to be happy and now, I don’t think she can ever be happy. Not only has Eliana refused to save our family from our financial issues but because of her, my dad wants me to marry Nolan Woods."

"What? But he is twice your age." Jason stated with a frown.

Amber cleaned her tears and said "I don’t have a choice. He is the only one who has agreed to help our family out, and in return, he wants me to marry him. It would be a lie if I said I don’t feel resentment for Eliana because if she hadn’t stolen Zachary away from me, then I would never have been in this position, and she would never have known the pain of losing a child."

Jason felt like Amber was right. He felt bad to know that Eliana had lost her child, but maybe it was all karma. But wait a minute, now that Eliana has nothing tying her with Zachary, maybe he could convince her to come to him.

Though he was sad for Eliana, Jason felt that this was a chance for him to pursue his secret love for her.
