Heavenly Dragon Doctor Son-in-Law-Chapter 154 - 155 Jiang Xue’s Shock!
With his power, the Tang Family would crumble instantaneously without Xiao Lingyue even needing to lift a finger. If he so wished, the Yaolong Group could swallow the Tang family’s businesses at any moment. With Jiang Haijing and Zhou Hongying’s covert cooperation, the Tang Family wouldn’t stand a chance. Another phone call to Yang Fei, and they wouldn’t even have the opportunity to beg on the streets. Humiliating Qin Long was, therefore, an impossible task for them.
"I’m only staying with the Tang Family to repay my debt to you," Qin Long said, looking at Tang Xuewu with utter seriousness. "It was for your sake that I had people support them. But they’ve gone too far today—they’re ungrateful and have done nothing but humiliate me. And you, Xuewu, they’re treating you like a gift to be married off to a rich family."
Tang Xuewu’s pretty face was etched with helplessness as she bit her red lip. She understood. The Tang family simply wanted her, the number one beauty of Jiang, to marry into a wealthy family so they could ride their coattails and restore their former glory! But what could she do, even knowing this? The blood of the Tang Family flowed in her veins—a fact no one could change. The family had born and raised her, a debt she could never repay. She couldn’t betray her own clan, so she always chose to endure their actions in silence.
"Qin Long, how can I just ignore the Tang Family’s company? Tang Chuchu and Tang Yuxiang don’t know anything; all they can do is try to be clever. If I don’t manage things, the last of the business Grandma left behind will be squandered. Then I’ll be the greatest sinner in the Tang Family’s history.
"At that point, the Tang Family won’t even qualify as a third-rate family. How could I face Grandma after I’m gone? Can you understand me?"
Seeing the mist gathering in Tang Xuewu’s beautiful eyes, Qin Long sighed helplessly. This was precisely why, even though he had already planned to take action against the Tang Family, he had ultimately spared them for her sake.
Tang Xuewu was too kind, too sentimental. She couldn’t leave the Tang Family. It was the large order from the Yaolong Group that had made her the project’s spokesperson in the first place, earning her the high regard of Old Master Tang. If he shattered the delicate balance they had managed to create, she would certainly be targeted again. Her status would plummet, and she would become miserable. For Xuewu’s sake, he had to let Zhao Ruoying continue cooperating with the Tang Family.
"Please, just think about it, okay?" Qin Long asked, gently tugging the corner of her sleeve.
"How about this," Tang Xuewu said, clenching her fists and gritting her teeth. "If they ever dare to talk about kicking you out again, we’ll start our own company."
"Okay," Qin Long agreed, smiling at her.
「Jiang, Clear Water Bay Garden District.」
The district was known for its pleasant scenery, surrounded by natural forests and designed with the help of world-class architects. It was a residential area for the top-tier families of Jiang. The Wang Family, being one of the most prominent of these elite families lately, naturally had a residence here.
Wang Ming drove his luxury car home in a rage and sat stewing in the living room. He was infuriated. According to his plan, Qin Long should have been kicked out of the house by now, leaving him free to openly pursue Tang Xuewu. But that bastard had made a single phone call to summon Zhao Ruoying, stunning the entire Tang Family.
"You bastard, daring to compete with me for a woman," Wang Ming seethed. "And you even threatened that on the day you visit, you’ll leave no one alive in the Wang Family, not even the dogs! Who the hell gave you that kind of courage?"
The angrier he got, the more reckless he became. He grabbed Qin Long’s white Heavenly Dragon battle robe and decided to use it as a rag to wash his feet.
"You said you’d wipe out my entire family, right? Well, I’m using your precious robe to wash my feet! Let’s see how you’re going to pull that off!"
Still not satisfied, he grabbed a pair of nearby scissors and tried to cut the dragon’s head off the Heavenly Dragon robe. The material, however, was surprisingly tough. Finally, he picked up a sharp white longsword and, with a single swing, sliced off the head of the white Divine Dragon.
"HAHAHA..." Wang Ming roared with laughter. "You actually embroidered a white dragon on this thing? What is it now, a headless dragon? HAHA! This is a high-tech society, and you think you can pretend to be a master by carrying around an ancient weapon?"
Wang Ming then picked up the Punishment Sword and deliberately slashed it at a stone stool.
CLANG!
A deep crack splintered the stone.
"Ah Ming, my precious son, what are you playing at?"
Just then, a still-charming, middle-aged woman entered from the garden. Behind her were several dozen athletic female guards. The woman was dressed in a purple robe with a matching small cap, looking every bit the part of a wealthy madam. She was Wang Ming’s mother, Wang Xiuhe.
Beside her stood a woman in her thirties with an athletic build and a piercing gaze. Though she was a woman, her intimidating presence was enough to send a shiver down one’s spine. A single cold glance from her commanded respect and deterred any foolishness.
Wang Ming recognized her instantly. Jiang Xue! The female commander of the Jiang administration—a true powerhouse who wielded genuine authority.
"Sister Xue, allow me to pour you some tea," Wang Ming said with a deeply respectful smile.
The Wang Family’s rapid ascent to the top tier in Jiang was due not only to their wealth but also their powerful connections. Jiang Xue was distantly related to them, which was why few dared to provoke the Wang Family. After all, who would be foolish enough to cross a commander from the city administration?
"Ah Ming, no need to be so formal." A faint smile touched Jiang Xue’s otherwise cold face as she walked towards the living room.
Yang Baitong, known throughout Jiang as "Mr. Know-It-All," followed closely behind her, a wide grin on his face.
Jiang Xue strode briskly past Wang Ming. But in the next second, her eyes widened, and she stopped dead in her tracks. Her entire body began to tremble as she stared at him.
"Ah Ming, what is that in your hand?" Jiang Xue’s gaze was suddenly fixed on the white longsword Wang Ming was holding. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
The sudden shift in Jiang Xue’s demeanor shocked both Wang Xiuhe and her son. They knew Jiang Xue as an exceptionally calm commander who rarely showed any sign of distress. Even in situations that would startle Wang Xiuhe, Jiang Xue would remain unfazed. She was a true war heroine, having clawed her way up through countless battles. Her title was earned with merit, not given for show. What on earth could possibly agitate her so deeply?
But then Jiang Xue’s eyes fell upon the white battle robe on the floor, its dragon head severed, and her expression darkened.
"Wang Ming, I will ask you one more time," she said, snatching the longsword from his hand as an icy glare flashed in her eyes. "What is this? And what happened to that white battle robe?"
Wang Ming was suddenly at a loss for words. "This..."
"What is this sword?" Jiang Xue demanded again, drawing the saber from her own waist and roaring at him.
"You little brat!" Wang Xiuhe snapped. "Your Sister Xue is asking you a question. Are you mute?"
