Healing System-Chapter 322: Purifying The Fish, And A Status Screen?
"Don't use those words," Arthur muttered coldly. "I'm not a half-breed, I'm just not a full-blood."
"Which makes you a half-breed," Michael corrected absentmindedly. "Look, I don't know if that makes it some kind of bad thing, but I'll keep seeing you as an idiot fish regardless, so be at ease."
"You don't understand," Arthur shot back with a glare. "Being known as a half-breed Klaxian is worse than being a fallen angel. It's a tragedy which had befallen our race many millennia ago. I just so happened to be infected, and my bloodline was lessened as a result."
"Like watered down?" Michael asked, earning a nod in response.
"Precisely. My bloodline was the purest of the pure. However, I turned into something less than a commoner, and I had to escape my home planet."
"I see... so what if I try to restore your bloodline then?" Michael brought up. "I can purify you, so I can technically also purify your bloodline. What do you say?"
"I'd say you're full of shit," Arthur replied, not even trying to entertain that idea. "I know angels have the powers to purify; however, they don't extend past the soul. It's always the same bullshit, and you'd have to be one of the strongest angels to even begin mending the soul in the first place."
"Right." Michael nodded. "But I can already do that though? I've been able to do it for a while now. I've never really tried purifying bloodlines though, so you'd be my guinea pig. How does that sound?"
Before Arthur could say anything, Michael muttered, "Or not a guinea pig... guinea fish? Something like that."
Arthur's brows twitched. "I hate you."
"And I don't like you either, mate, but here we are, in the same stupid situation just because you're half a fish," Michael added and began approaching Arthur.
He dropped the sludge monsters down, and the moment he did, Michael delivered a fierce punch to Arthur's jaw, sending him flying into the sky.
Michael naturally used his full strength, but at the same time, he infused that punch with healing properties as well as purification.
He had no set goal in mind and only made the purification purify literally everything.
Therefore, as Arthur floated through the sky, he suddenly began glowing.
Michael raised a brow and, with a keen gut feeling, grabbed the sludge monster and took a couple of steps back.
Immediately, a massive shockwave exploded outward, sending Michael skidding across the ground.
Since he was still in the battlefield, he managed to trigger most of the traps present, but due to the sheer speed at which he was moving, he was able to avoid every single one of those traps.
Or so he thought, but once he slowed down, he suddenly found himself falling.
The ground had opened up, and below, he could see dozens of black spikes laced with some kind of green substance.
Therefore, Michael didn't hesitate and immediately summoned a small pillar of light and shot it down toward the spikes.
It managed to make contact; however, even at a glance, it was too wobbly to stand on. So Michael had to improvise, and he did so by continuously summoning those pillars and throwing them down, until finally, the entire ground was covered in nothing but those said pillars.
He soon landed, and although it was slightly wobbly, the fact that he wasn't dead was more than enough.
Nonetheless, he glanced at the sludge monsters, who glanced back at him with confusion in its eyes.
"Yo?" Michael tilted his head. "Are you still with me?"
"Affirmative," the sludge monster replied with a nod. "I was just observing your dodging pattern. Your technique resembles one of the archangels. Do you mind continuing? I wish to make a full assessment."
"Hell no," Michael firmly denied. "If you want to make an assessment, then do that by helping me out. Personality trait is also an assessable thing, no?"
"You're not wrong..." the sludge monster muttered. "But I mainly assess combat capabilities. You seem to be in the higher ranks just from your movement alone. If I had to guess, your strength is Tier 5, your agility is Tier 7, stamina is Tier 8, and mana capacity is Tier 10."
"Hmm...?" Michael tilted his head. "You sound like a system."
"A system? I suppose that's the correct term, yes," the sludge monster nodded. "The Klaxians were the ones behind such an object. It's injected into the bodies of promising universal candidates. You seem to have remnants of one such system, but it seems like it is broken... do you want me to fix it?"
"And the price?" Michael asked with a scoff. "I bet it's steep, so save it for yourself. I don't need any system."
The moment Michael said those words, the sludge monster merely approached and tapped Michael on the chest.
Immediately, a blue pop-up appeared in front of his eyes, startling him.

"...?" Michael's eyes widened. "What the fuck?"
It was simplistic, but it was extremely surprising since he had never expected to see something like this again.
After all, the other gods were responsible for controlling him from this very system.
Yet as he continued looking on, he soon saw a few surprising pop-ups.
<Firewall Detected!>
<Firewall Deleted!>
<New Firewall Is Being Installed!>
<Open Source #441 Has been installed!>
<Open Source #441 Ownership: Michael Light>
Immediately, he felt his strength return, and while he couldn't understand a few things, some were incredibly obvious.
He had always wanted a system which showed him his actual stats, and not the stats of his mana core.
After all, he had learned that it was pretty useless by now, and the only thing he truly needed was clarification.
Nonetheless, his strength was determined to be high Tier 7.
It wasn't as high as he expected, but his skills likely made up for the difference.
Or maybe it was his cunningness. Nonetheless, Michael was content with the fact that he now had a way to track his progress, even if it wasn't exactly necessary.
And finally, he glanced toward the innocent sludge monster and let out a chuckle.
"Guess you were worth saving after all. Welcome to the club of... I have no clue," Michael stated with a grin, and in the very next moment, he jumped up and stabbed a pillar into the wall.
He continued doing so until eventually, he made a full staircase.
And of course, once he did, Michael gestured for the sludge monster to follow him.
They arrived at the very top of that hole, and Michael confidently glanced around.
It didn't take long to spot Arthur, since he was literally levitating in the sky like some sort of edgelord.
Yet he was emitting an overwhelming amount of mana, which made Michael want to avoid him for the time being.
However, it seemed like it wasn't necessary, since in the very next moment, Arthur fell to the ground, all the energy he had been emitting disappearing in an instant.
Michael let him fall, not even bothering to pick up his pace to catch him.
And as he finally arrived toward Arthur, who was knocked out clean on the floor, he fell into thought and turned toward the sludge monster.
"Hey, how are his stats looking right now?"
"Hmm... not the best. I suppose they're still higher than yours though," the sludge monster remarked and began detailing the stats.
"Strength is Tier 13, agility is Tier 15, stamina is Tier 6, and mana capacity is Tier 18. I suppose you beat him in the stamina regard at the very least."
"...?" Michael's eyes widened.
The most uptodate nove𝙡s are published on frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓.
He got much stronger after that purification bullshit.
After all, a mana capacity at Tier 18 was definitely no joke.
Better yet, he could feel the mana constantly increasing inside Arthur's body, which meant this wasn't even his full power yet.
Therefore, with a grin, Michael picked Arthur up and began walking back to the city.
The sludge monster trailed close behind, but there was one small hiccup.
"Can you make your appearance look a little like mine?" Michael asked, scratching his cheek. "To be blunt, you look even worse than a demon."
"..." The sludge monster looked itself up and down, then sighed.
In the very next moment, it perfectly mimicked Michael's appearance, with the only change being its hair, which was now a clear red.
"What do you think?" the sludge monster asked. "Does this look presentable?"
"Yep." Michael nodded with a smirk. "You might even get some girls if you try."
"Women?" The sludge monster tilted its head, and then flinched.
Surprisingly, its face began flushing red, and it turned away, whistling innocently.
A shy sludge monster, well shit. Michael noted and walked up to the guards from earlier.
Now, it was time to do a little bullshitting.
