He Clings to Me Every Night-Chapter 809 - - I’ll Wait for You to Come Home
Chapter 809 -809: I’ll Wait for You to Come Home
Valerie Howard sent over a screenshot, and Daniel Marshall saw the message that Olivia Jenkins had sent. Olivia Jenkins had left Serene City of her own accord, as if she wanted to cut him out of her life.
Daniel covered his face with his hands, his heart twisting painfully, and there was an indescribable taste in his heart.
He really didn’t mean to deceive Olivia. Even if he had been honest with Olivia about needing to take care of Grace Ziegler, Olivia would have been upset regardless. Fate just seemed to be playing tricks on people.
Daniel’s head ached as he furrowed his eyebrows, his sexy, thin lips pressed tightly together. At this point, all he could do was swallow his feelings of helplessness alone.
Daniel still had a glimmer of hope, hoping that Olivia would understand him, just a little bit would have been enough.
…
For several days in a row, Daniel called Olivia every so often, but Olivia’s phone was still turned off.

After the holiday, Olivia would probably return, Daniel was hoping every moment for time to pass quickly, for Olivia to come back to Serene City soon.
His heart in a vice, Daniel barely made it through the holiday. When he called Olivia again, all he could hear was the voicemail message Olivia had set up.
After hesitating for a few seconds, Daniel left a message anyway, “Wife, I miss you so much, have you come back? Wife, I’ve been waiting for you to come home. If you hear my message, please give me a call, or even just reply with a text message. Don’t ignore me, it’s really hard for me.”
After putting away his phone, Daniel’s heart still ached beyond words, and his complexion also seemed to change.
With several days’ worth of stubble, Daniel’s handsome face looked to be full of the weight of the world.
Seeing Daniel like this, Adam Howard guessed that the couple hadn’t reconciled yet. After thinking for a bit, Adam decided it was best to keep his own mouth shut.
Even though it pained him, feeling as though the sky might collapse, it served Daniel right.
Let Daniel taste what it felt like to be on the verge of losing something. Otherwise, he wouldn’t take it to heart, still acting as if he knew everything, without learning his lesson, as if he forgot the pain once the wound healed.
…
Olivia Jenkins flew across several cities, and finally, she took a taxi to Cross City.
On the first workday after the holiday, Olivia turned on her phone and saw many voicemail messages and texts.
Olivia only dealt with official business and ignored her personal affairs; hence, she did not check Daniel’s messages nor listen to his voicemail.
Olivia did not stay in a hotel in Cross City. Instead, she rented an apartment for a short stay, perhaps planning to spend some time in Cross City.
After handling the corporate affairs, Olivia responded to Benjamin Johnson’s call.
Finally getting in touch with Olivia brought Benjamin a slightly uneasy feeling. His handsome brow furrowed with concern, “Olivia, what’s been going on with you lately? Why was your phone off for days?”
“I was just really tired from work before, so I gave myself some time off to rest. Now, I’m feeling much better, and my mood is not bad either.”
“Have you returned to Serene City yet? I’d like to take you out to dinner tonight.”
“I haven’t returned to Serene City yet, I’m still out of town. In a couple of days, I might even have to go on a business trip.”
Pausing for a few seconds, Benjamin said profoundly, “If you need someone to talk to, I’m always here to listen. I might not be able to help, but I can try to think of solutions. I can also share the burden of what’s troubling you. I hope you won’t have to carry it all by yourself.”
Olivia smiled with relief, “Benjamin Johnson, thank you! I’m really doing well, I’ve always been clear on what I want, and I’ve always had goals. You don’t need to worry about me. When I return to Serene City, I’ll treat you to dinner.”
There was a moment of silence before Benjamin said earnestly, “I respect you, and if you need me, just call and I’ll be there for you.”
