Kailen opened his eyes.

He was brimming with boundless strength.

He had not broken through to the next level, but he was stronger.

The core disciple region was very quiet compared to the other regions of the sect.

All the core disciples were focusing on cultivating towards the secret realm.

Suddenly, Kailen’s eyes squinted.

Someone was at his door.

Why would a core disciple come looking for him?

This fellow had red eyes, and he was an elf.

He was clad in some sort of gothic jacket, dirty jeans, and sneakers.

Kailen gauged the fellow’s emotional state and thoughts with elemental mirroring as the person stood outside the door.

This fellow didn’t have any evil intentions for coming here.

Quickly, he allowed the AI of the villa to allow the guest entry into the building.

"It’s a pleasure to finally meet you, Mr Anderson."

The fellow said politely.

"And you as well, Mr Legoland. Please have a seat," Kailen replied.

"Thank you. Can I indulge myself with the tea?" Legoland said, smiling warmly.

Kailen replied, "Go ahead."

Legoland nodded.

He reached for the tea cup and took a sip.

"This is good."

Kailen nodded.

Legoland figured that the silence of Oasis and his calm demeanor suggested it was time he stated the reason for his visit.

"I know you are a busy man, Mr Anderson. So let me make it quick and leave you to your devices," Legoland said, eyes reflecting Oasis’ nod.

He continued.

"If possible, and it won’t be inconveniencing to you, I would love for us to collaborate in the secret realm."

Kailen did not see the need to object. Frankly, he knew that by the time the secret realm opened, he would only be a rank 4 beginner stage universe level lifeform.

With his law of space, he could defeat opponents three ranks above himself. He would be able to only fight rank 7 beginner stage universe level powerhouses in the secret realm. Having a rank 1 intermediate stage universe level powerhouse as a partner in the secret realm would not be an issue, and would benefit him rather.

As for why Legoland wanted to cooperate with him, he knew it was not just because of his accomplishments. Kailen could see that the fellow had a keen sense for identifying people who were not simple. Legoland didn’t judge people by appearances or cultivation levels.

However, he asked anyway.

"Why would Mr Legoland want to cooperate with me?"

Legoland replied, a smirk tugging at the edge of his lips.

"I will need your help after the secret realm, and I know you to be someone who don’t like owing people favors, so you’ll return the favor."

Kailen smiled.

This guy reminded him of Zarek and Everlong. He was very perceptive about people.

"Interesting. And what would that favor be?" Kailen asked.

"You see my red eyes? I’m a hybrid, born a vampire and an elf at the same time. I’m of royal descent, you see," Legoland said.

He saw the look in Anderson’s eyes. Not judgemental, calm, detached, but present.

He nodded and continued.

"I know, it’s cliché, like a novel plot. But well, it’s not when it’s real.

Kailen nodded.

"I see. So you want me to help you get revenge on the imperial council for what they did to you, in exchange for partnering with me in the secret realm?"

"Yeah. That’s pretty much it," Legoland said.

Kailen was silent for a moment.

He spoke a moment later.

"This seems like I’ll be putting a lot on the line, no offense, even if you’ll be partnering with me in the secret realm. Getting revenge on an imperial council literally means risking offending a whole empire. Why would I do that?"

Legoland was not offended.

He had expected this.

He would have been rather disappointed if Oasis Anderson had agreed just like that.

"The RiverBlood Empire has the RiverBlood Academy where secret realms are abundant, high tier cultivation chambers, and cultivation mountains exist. Although getting access to them requires one to accomplish certain academy missions, someone of your caliber can pull such missions off, and have access to them, considering everything you have done since you entered the sect.

If you manage to help me get some revenge on the imperial faction, I can help you obtain a slot into the academy. At the universe level breakthroughs happen slowly because of how much universe energy is required to cultivate. This is a rare opportunity."

Kailen’s interest was piqued now.

Of course there was no way he would just take Legoland’s words for it. He had used emotional resonance and detective’s gimmick to study him.
