He Became A Monstrous Genius After Obtaining A Time Dilation Artifact-Chapter 572: (Edited). Weaving lies from Secrets
The grip of the vimodial loosened.
Kailen could finally breathe freely.
Kailen stared into the fellow’s eyes.
It was full of shock, uncertainty, doubt, half belief.
"Tell me what you know. If you dare lie, you will have a fate worse than death," he said.
Kailen knelt on the ground. He had to play by the rules. He was the weaker one here.
Any sign of pride and he’d die.
He knelt on the ground.
The vimodial observed him closely before he even spoke, scrutinizing the human prey for any sign of a lie.
"My Lord. The painting on the wall. The moment I saw it, I remembered her," Kailen spoke with feigned fear, facial expressions so real.
"Interesting." The vimodial tried to be calm. He asked, "No one knows about her. So how do you know about her?"
Kailen had anticipated this question. He had been reading this bastard for a long time. And he was reading him now. He wore his thoughts on his face.
"At the time, on the battlefield of Arkansis Imperial planet, she was barely conscious when we found her," Kailen chose his words carefully, weaving lies from secrets gleaned from using emotional resonance to read this bastard the past month.
"My master was a healer. He healed her. He held the belief that regardless of whether one was a vimodial or not, every sick person he encountered was a patient that he had to cure. My Lord, after healing her, she considered the act of benevolence from my master and decided to not kill us. She asked us about you with deep concern, the concern of thinking of someone you loved. She asked whether or not you were alive, how the battle at the time turned out, and if we recognized you after showing us your picture. My Lord, when I saw her picture here, I remembered her benevolence of not killing my master and myself, and to repay her for that, I decided to let you know she was alive."
The vimodial listened in stunned silence.
She was alive? His dao companion was alive?
He didn’t even doubt the human bastard anymore.
No one knew about her death on the Arkansis Imperial planet ten years ago during the clash with the machine race. No one even knew about their relationship. The only way for this human bastard to know about her was that she met him.
Also, the only way for this human to know she mattered to him, and they were connected, was definitely because she had asked this human about him and even showed his picture to this human.
Also, he would have thought this human was spouting bullshit about her preserving the life of him and his master, and he telling him she was alive as a way of repaying her kindness. He was not stupid. But, he studied him well. He didn’t detect any signs of lies from the human. Also, if what the human said was not true, how the hell did he know about her, and his relationship with her, and how was she alive in the first place?
Kailen was inwardly pleased. Naturally, from the vimodial’s facial expressions, he knew what the fellow was thinking. This was exactly what he wanted the fellow to think.
After all, there was no other way for Kailen to know about this fellow’s lover, unless Kailen actually met her, and the false narrative Kailen had cooked up had actually occurred. The fellow didn’t know Kailen had used Emotional resonance to orchestrate lies from what he had gleaned from the vimodial’s thoughts as he observed him this past month. So, it would make perfect sense to him that Kailen was not lying about anything.
"Where is she now?" The voice of the castle Lord trembled.
Kailen mused inwardly.
"Checkmate."
Kailen replied.
"My Lord. I can’t actually tell where she is now. But, as my master thanked her for preserving our pitiful lives and we left, she remained in a cave on the Arkansis Imperial planet. Perhaps... she could still be there."
The moment the vimodial heard these words from the human, his eyes glistened with hope.
He knew the human could not dare lie to him.
"Arkansis Imperial planet, travelling there will take about fifteen years," the vimodial said.
"But for her, it’s worth it. Human, I will let you live for a few more years because you and your master saved my Dao companion’s life. However, if I search the Arkansis Imperial planet and several surrounding regions and I don’t find her, I will return and kill you in the most excruciating way you could ever imagine."
"Thank you for your benevolence, my Lord," Kailen replied, head still on the ground.
However, he was elated. This plan was working. But... was that all he was gonna get, being kept alive?
Would he be sent back into the hall with almost negligible universe energy? 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
Just when Kailen was in thought, the vimodial spoke.
"Balsado."
A streak of light flashed into the room and materialised into a vampire vimodial. The vampire vimodial was a rank 1 universe level lifeform too. He was the right hand man of the Castle Lord.
"My Lord," Balsado bowed respectfully.
"Give this human a normal room in the castle. However, keep a close eye on him. If he tries anything stupid, kill him."
Balsado’s gaze flickered.
Why was the Lord sparing this human?
However, he didn’t doubt the Lord in any way. It was his duty to obey commands.
"As you wish, my Lord," Balsado replied.
"Also, you are in charge. I will be gone for a while. I have some personal matters to look into."
After this, the castle Lord turned into a streak of light and disappeared into the distance.
Balsado nodded towards the human. "Follow me."
Kailen maintained his subservient attitude.
"Yes, my Lord."
However, no one noticed the cold and determined expression in his eyes.
"The first part of the plan is done. I need to make use of the time I have now, and the room I will be sent into to break into the universe level," Kailen mused to himself as he left the room with Balsado.
