A fat man was seated in a living room in a luxurious villa. The fat man seemed to be looking through some surveillance footage.

" The academy never learns, do they. And this time, they sent just a single student? Heh..what difference can he make?"

The fat man snorted. A glint of coldness flashed through his eyes. After their vimodial contractors broke into the rank 1 beginner stage Dao level, they destroyed their consciousness and took over their beings.

From then, they had been feeding on the members of the Orca Planetary district for a while now. Very soon they would break into the intermediate stage Dao level. A single academy student was not going to ruin their plans. Like the others, he’d become their prey. And this one seemed to have so much lifeforce.

Suddenly, he saw something unbelievable. The student sent by the academy disappeared from the room right after the governor left the room. It was as if he didn’t exist. There were no traces of him in the hotel room where he stayed. The surveillance footage failed to capture his presence too.

" Secretary Burns, the governor requests your presence immediately" Someone walked into the room and spoke to him in a very subservient manner.

" Very well. Thank you" Secretary Burns smiled warmly as he stood up and left the room.

However, he couldn’t shake off the feeling that whatever this Academy’s student was, he was gonna be a problem. He had to be dealt with as soon as possible.

Quickly, he sent a thought transmission to who knows where.

" Fellow Vimodials, we may have a problem. New threat discovered. Footage sent to you. Locate and exterminate"

Kailen had left the hotel room. He has activated a concealment rune, and an invisibility rune at the same time.

He had sent some of his shadow creatures to scout the planetary district about 7 times the size of earth.

The shadow creatures had also activated concealment and invisibility runes.

At this moment, several screams emerged, as the shadow creatures, completely hiding traces of their presence with invisibility and concealment runes, started killing the vimodials with Kailen’s poisons.

" Where the hell is he?" One of the vimodials looked around with fear etched on his face.

Several cursed, trying to draw their prey now turned predator out with emotional manipulation. However none of it worked. The place was completely silent, eerily so. There was no sign of anyone, no presence, no individual, no law fluctuation, no presence of lifeforce or even an awakener’s aura. Just the dead bodies of their comrades and themselves, completely terrified.

Several of those they came with were dead. Their skins had changed color into some sort of dark color. Their bodies looked bloated, and they had terrified looks on their faces as they lay dead on the ground.

Another one was stabbed with a poison needle.

Another had a poison elixir thrown on their face.

Some inhaled poison gases amongst others.

A few moments later, dead bodies piled up in the vicinity.

Grotesquely morphed forms, terrified looks, marred faces, discolorised figures, emaciated and husky forms, all a product of Kailen’s poisons.

The sight was very chilling. Yet Kailen remained calm on the rooftop.

The hunt for the Vimodials went on for a night.

Similar scenes replayed themselves at different regions of the Orca Planetary district.

Citizens were on high alert as these dead bodies were discovered. Had the Vimodials struck again? The citizens were extremely terrified. Even corpses left behind by vimodials won’t look like this right?

The governor however, contacted Kailen. Kailen informed her that he was doing his clean up. Just that.

She knew. So he was getting rid of them. This young man... was terrifying.

Yet... she felt thankful.

Several officials at the meeting looked at her curiously. Who was she talking with? She seemed happy?

What the hell was going on?

Why were they not getting any information from the others? Had they failed? To capture a single academy student?

As she showed them the images, chills ran up their spines. Not only that, they were extremely pissed for her choice of words.

" Burns, how could you?" She said, as the attacks dissipated.

She looked across the conference hall. Most of the officials had terrified expressions on their faces as other officials had held them, absorbing their life force at a rapid pace with elated grins on their faces.
