HDXD: Omni Harem System-Chapter 252: Vileth’s Offer
"W-What?!"
Adam blurted out, his childlike voice cracking under the confusion of his own surprise.
The cavern's red glow flickered across his small, skeletal frame, making him look even more otherworldly.
His stump of an arm was already knitting back together, flesh bubbling and reforming with a grotesque squelch, but his focus was locked on the hovering figure of Johanton, or whatever was puppeteering him now.
[Master, I mean it. Run. That boy... he's being possessed by a Demonic Goddess. Her presence is overwhelming. Divinity radiates from her like sun]
Freya's voice echoed in his head again, urgent and laced with a rare hint of fear.
Adam's eyes narrowed, the golden magic circle from his Divine spell still humming faintly in the background, its planetary barrier holding but ticking down.
He could feel the regression effect pulsing through everything, including this intruder.
'Really? She's a real God?'
Adam muttered aloud in his mind, more to himself than anything. His tiny hands clenched into fists, this was an unexpected turn of events.
[Yes, Master. Undeniably. I can sense the Divinity, pure, unfiltered. It's not some imitation or borrowed power. This is the real deal, a being from a higher plane. Her essence warps reality just by being here]
Adam let out a low whistle, his six-year-old face twisting into a grin that didn't match the situation at all.
"Well, damn. This just got interesting."
But beneath the bravado, a chill ran down his spine. He could feel it too, the oppressive weight of her presence, like gravity had doubled and the air was thickening with malice.
This wasn't some cult lackey or mutated slug.
This was a goddess, slumming it in a mortal shell. And for some reason, his instincts screamed that this fight was going to be a slog.
Without hesitation, he mentally save his existence here, given due to Beatrice gift all those years ago, saw creation as a Visual novel.
'There.'
He thought.
'Just in case this goes south. No way I'm resetting from scratch if she pulls some bullshit.'
The save locked in, a safety net against whatever hell was about to unfold. He could sense it, this was going to be hard.
Harder than Alustus, Susan, Naltras, or any battle he has had now, and harder than the slugs.
Vileth-in-Johanton tilted her head, Johanton's body floating effortlessly, his school uniform tattered and singed from the earlier chaos.
The eyes glowed with an unholy purple light, and shadows coiled around his limbs like living tattoos.
"Oh? Accepting your faith already ha? How quaint. But don't bother running, Adam Van Hellsing. You've already piqued my interest."
Adam floated up a bit, matching her height despite his regressed form. The Queen's massive slug body writhed in the pit below, its was free from Daisy chains, but Vileth and himself being here made it afraid.
"So, Vileth, huh?"
He knows Goddess the New Order worship, so introduction was not needed here.
"The big bad Demon Goddess herself. Do you enjoy getting on my nerves like this? Popping up uninvited, terrorizing my, possessing my enemies? Kinda rude, don't you think... Just when I was about to kill them too."
Vileth laughed through Johanton's mouth, the sound echoing off the cavern walls like shattering glass mixed with a child's giggle, eerie and wrong in every way you could imagine
"Enjoy? Oh, darling, it's quite the opposite. You are the one getting in the way of my plans... that's what's making this hard on me. My little stars were just doing their job, harvesting potential, disrupting the humans little games. And here you come, playing hero with your fancy Divine Magic. If anyone should be annoyed, it's me."
Adam crossed his tiny arms, his regenerating stump itching as new skin formed. The pain was a distant buzz; he had felt worse though.
"Yeah? Well, enlighten me then. Why are you doing all this? Terrorizing students, and attacking the Human World? What's the endgame, Goddess? World domination? Some petty revenge?"
Vileth's possessed form drifted closer, the air growing colder, not from the slugs, but from her sheer presence.
Shadows lengthened, creeping up the walls like ink in water. Johanton's face twisted into a smile that was too wide, too predatory.
"Someone like you wouldn't understand, Adam. You're powerful, yes...impossibly so for your age. But you're still tangled in the mortal coil, playing by their rules. The Voids... they've been plagued by humans for far too long. Expanding, conquering, erasing everything in their path. The Overlord? That pompous fool thinks he own everything, he limits us. But me? I'm the revolution creation needs. I'm the reset button for this bloated empire."
She paused, her glowing eyes scanning him up and down, curiosity flickering in that divine gaze.
"But I am merciful, you know. And very, very curious about you too. Someone as powerful and so young as you... it's not something that appears in this world so often. A anomaly, a glitch in the system. Where did you come from, really? That Divine Magic of yours...Promise I believe, I could never forget Medea own power, I too once made contract with her in the past. As all magic user have, she is the being we need to even established the use of magic. So seeing you borrowing power from Medea herself? Impressive. But naive if you think you can take me on alone."
Adam raised an eyebrow, his small body hovering steady. The timer on his Divine Promise of Obsolescence ticked in his mind, seven minutes left before everything snapped back, regressions undone.
He had to stall, or end this quick.
"Naive? Says the goddess slumming it in a teenage boy's body. But hey, flattery's nice. Keep going."
Vileth extended Johanton's hands outward, palms up in a gesture that was almost inviting.
Dark energy swirled around them, forming faint marks of darkness that pulsed with malevolent power.
"Why don't you join me, Adam? In this revolution. Humans have plagued the Voids for far too long. Especially the Overlord and his ilk. We could topple them together, reshape the multiverse. No more chains, no more oppression. Just pure, unbridled chaos and freedom. You would fit right in, with that power of yours."
Adam chuckled, a dry, humorless sound that echoed in the cavern.
"Join you? Tempting offer, Goddess. But what do I get in return? A fancy title? Unlimited slugs? Or is it just the warm fuzzies from helping you play cosmic terrorist?"
Vileth's laugh boomed again, shaking loose pebbles from the ceiling. The Queen slug below let out a low roar, its icy veins glowing brighter under her influence.
"Oh, you're cheeky. I like that. What do you get? Power, for starters...beyond what you borrow from Medea, she is strong than me yes, but her power is vastly limited in the hands of us mortals to her we gods are basically mortal too, but I can offer... Immortality, perhaps? Domains of your own to rule. Or knowledge...the secrets of the Divine Planes, the origins of the Spirits or atleast what I know of them. You could be my right hand, Adam. No more hiding behind student council duties or playing savior to weaklings. Think about it...with your anomalies and my divinity, we could be unstoppable."
Adam tilted his head, pretending to mull it over.
The conversation was buying him time, letting his arm fully regenerate, for some reason everytime it heals it destroyed itself again.
This was not normal.
Flesh knit together, bones reforming with a pop.
"Sounds sweet. But nah. I've got my own plans, and they don't involve teaming up with a goddess who snacks on souls for fun. Besides, humans might be a pain, but wiping them out? Overkill. And the Overlord? Yeah, he's a dick, but that's my fight, not yours."
Vileth's expression darkened, the shadows around Johanton's body thickening into tangible tendrils that lashed at the air.
"Pity. I thought you were smarter than that. Merciful as I am, I gave you a chance. But if you insist on standing in my way...
Adam's grin widened, his eyes igniting with golden light as he powered up. Astrum surged through his veins, the Divine circle overhead pulsing in response.
"Bring it, Vileth. Let's see if a goddess bleeds."
The air crackled with tension, power building on both sides. Vileth raised Johanton's hands, dark portals ripping open around her, summoning abyssal horrors from the shadows.
'Summoning?'
He mentally said to himself.
Adam countered, green and gold circles forming at his feet, air compressing into lethal rods while spatial warps flickered into existence.
The cavern shook as they lunged, divine fury clashing with anomalous might.
The fight was on.
But deep in his mind, Adam felt the danger of it, this wasn't just a battle; it was a test. And with his save file locked, he could afford to go all out, even if he loses.
The Queen's pit churned below, slugs birthing anew under Vileth's command but warping into a more stronger state, but Adam ignored them.
His focus was on her, the possessed form darting like a phantom. A shadow tendril whipped out, grazing his side and drawing blood that froze instantly.
He retaliated with an air rod, piercing through Johanton's shoulder, only for the wound to heal in a burst of dark energy.
"You're holding back."
Vileth taunted, her voice layering over Johanton's in a demonic chorus.
"Afraid to kill the boy? How sentimental."
Adam dodged a portal that spat acidic void, countering with a spatial warp that teleported him behind her.
"Nah. Just warming up."
He said as he slammed a fist charged with Space Astrum into her back, the impact sending shockwaves that cracked the cavern walls.
Vileth staggered, but spun with inhuman speed, her claws raking across his chest. Pain flared, but he regenerated almost as fast.
[Master, six minutes left on the spell. Due to her not being here in the true sense it is not working on her as such, she is stabilizing Johanton's form, and reawakening his power]
'Noted.'
Adam thought, weaving through a barrage of shadow bolts. He coded a new spell mid-air, golden runes forming a barrier that deflected her next attack.
"You talk big for someone hiding in a meat puppet. Come out and fight fair."
Vileth cackled, summoning more tendrils that wrapped around the Queen, empowering it. The massive slug roared, icy blasts shooting upward.
"Fair? In war? You're adorable. But fine...let's escalate."
She channeled through Johanton, divine essence flooding the body. His form bulked up, muscles twisting unnaturally, horns sprouting from his head as Vileth's manifested even more power as a result. "
Adam flipped backward, avoiding a massive shadow claw that gouged the floor. He fired a series of air rods, each one laced with Divine Promise to erode her defenses.
At the cost of his own defense for ng down be 70%
One hit home, shattering an arm, but it reformed in seconds.
"Tough bitch."
He muttered.
The battle raged, blows exchanging in blurs. Adam's small size made him agile, dodging and weaving while chipping away.
Vileth's power was overwhelming, each strike carrying the force of a nuke itslef. The cavern began to collapse, rocks tumbling into the pit.
Adam grinned through the pain.
"Time to end this, if I can just destroy the vessel."
He began coding his next big spell, Astrum building to critical levels.
Vileth mirrored him, dark divinity coalescing.
"Yes come on Adam, don't bore me now."
