Hated By The Alpha-Chapter 222: Sulking Mates
They were in the car, currently driving toward the Grey Blood Pack.
It’s been thirty minutes, and Leon hasn’t said a single word. He kept looking out of the window with a crease on his brow.
He wasn’t happy, and he was letting Mark know.
Mark glanced at Leon and said, "Hey, handsome." He called softly as he drove the car.
Leon remained quiet, sulking.
Mark blew out a helpless breath and slowly moved his hand and placed it over Leon’s lap, "Baby, I’m sorry. You know I didn’t want this either, but I have to go, my brother needs me for something important -"
"More important than me? Then... what were we about to do?" Leon asked, glaring at Mark.
Mark furrowed his brows and carefully thought about Leon’s words. "Nothing is more important than you, Leon, I promise you. And..." he paused, thinking really deeply to recall what they were about to do as Leon mentioned.
He recalled that before Lake called for him, he had invited Leon to the shower to wash up and... sex!
Yes, sex!
They were about to explore their exclusive bathroom package when Lake suddenly called with his request.
He had immediately told Leon that they needed to go to the pack, and they only ended up showering and dressing up. And here they were now, on their way.
Mark smiled, moving his hand up Leon’s thigh, "I’m sorry about that, too. Maybe a quickie would have sufficed, right?" He teased.
Leon held Mark’s hand and removed it from his thigh, "Just leave me alone. Maybe I’ll go back to Paris first thing tomorrow morning - hey!" Leon suddenly leaned forward, bracing his hand on the dashboard as Mark had suddenly stepped on the brake, snapping his head around.
Mark stared at Leon, his eyes looking hurt, "Really? You leave me?" He questioned, leaning over to hold Leon’s knee.
Leon moved Mark’s hand away once more, "I have the right to leave you." He stated, folding his arms.
"You called me love a few times. Was it just for fun?" Mark blinked slowly, his heart hurting.
Leon shrugged, "It’s a common word. Don’t get cocky, Mark. You’re still in consideration... You don’t see any mark on my neck, right, Mark?" He rolled his eyes and leaned on the car rest.
Mark sighed, "Don’t do this, Leon. Do you enjoy hurting me?" He asked quietly.
Leon glanced at Mark, biting his lower lip nervously as he saw truly that Mark was hurting.
But he wasn’t going to apologise. He’d done nothing wrong, Mark really hadn’t marked him. He was just stating facts.
"Leave me alone, drive," Leon resumed to look out of the window.
Mark opened his mouth to say somethingthatt decided against it.
He took a deep breath and resumed his driving.
Soon, they arrived, and before Mark could even turn to look at Leon, Leon was already out of the car, walking toward the packhouse.
He sighed and got out of the car, looking sad.
"You’re quite late, Mark," Lake spoke behind him.
Mark slowly turned to face his brother, who was looking the opposite of him: happy.
Of course, he would look happy. He had his mate beside him, hugging his arm like a koala.
"Hi, Mark, welcome back. How was your honeymoon?" Audrey asked, smiling.
"Bet Leon wasn’t satisfied. His dick must have been too small. The poor guy looked frustrated as fuck," Lake casually answered.
"Lake!" Audrey pinched his stomach.
"And this is the person I’m risking my relationship for," Mark muttered in disappointment.
"Don’t mind him, Mark. Come on, we’ve got something you need to help us with," Audrey said and went over to Mark, hooking her arm around his.
She gave Lake a stinky eye before leading Mark away.
Now the tables were turned, Mark grinned while Lake looked sad as he trailed behind them.
"That’s supposed to be me, Audrey," he mumbled.

Inside the packhouse, Leon stood in front of a window in the general living room and watched Mark happily walking away with Lake and Audrey.
He frowned, "So that’s it? No trying to make-up, huh? We’ll see about that..." he murmured to himself.
"Whoa, look at that glow," a voice lowly drew out behind him, and the next thing he felt was a hand on his shoulder.
He spun around and saw Alex in a black, tight shirt and black shorts.
Unlike him, Alex looked happy.
"What are you talking about?" He asked, shrugging Akex’s hand away from his shoulder.
Alex clicked his tongue and rolled his eyes and placed his hand back on Leon’s shoulder, "Come on, man. You and I know that it’s only dick that can give this super skin glow, not skincare." He winked at Leon.
Leon fought hard to hide his blush with a frown, "Hey, buddy, listen, you do realise I’m older, right? Don’t speak to me so freely." He said and stepped away from Alex, walking toward his room.
Alex followed Leon, "Oh? Forgive my mistake, oh great elder, but you do realise we’re bottoms, right?" He chuckled and caught up to Leon.
Leon shook his head, "Who said I was the bottom?" He said, opening his door.
"It’s in your eyes, Leon. We bottoms have a way we stare at our partners, with stars in our eyes, even while sulking, like you are now," Alex said, closing Leon’s door and walking over to his bed to sit down.
"You don’t know anything," Leon muttered and sat on the other side of the bed.
"Oh, I know. I know that Mark is hurting because you’re giving him the cold treatment which is something I’ve realised comes naturally with being a bottom. I know you’re also hurting because you think Mark is ignoring you and not trying to please you even as you were the one to cause the hitch..." Alex paused and fell back on the bed, turning his head to look at Leon.
"I know you want that Mark on your neck, to belong to him wholly but you think he’s hesitating. I know you love Mark but you’re too chicken to admit it," Alex sighed, smiling.
"Take my advice. Werewolves are very sensitive creatures. You might not be hurting the way Mark is. He feels every emotion deeply; we appreciate raw feelings, and it drives us crazy when our mates show and tell us how much we mean to them. It strengthens our wolf when we feel that healthy bond blossoming between us," He rolled over to and propped his elbow, placing his head on the palm of his hand.
"All I’m saying is, love Mark. He’s really been alone for a long time, you’re like his light at the end of the tunnel. If you keep treating him like a plaything, he’d fall apart. And, no, I’m just speaking through my wolf instincts, Mark never said anything to me," Alex said, wriggling up the bed to get comfortable on the pillow.
"Who let in?" Leon suddenly asked, realising that he had never asked Alex to come in.
"Just a bottom, keeping another bottom company while he sulks," Alex chuckled.
"Right..." Leon sighed and fell back on the bed, putting his hand behind his head.
Alex was right. Not a single false word came out of his mouth.
He was indeed hurting Mark and, in return, hurting himself, too.
He missed Mark already, and he was regretting his stupid attitude in the car. It didn’t really take much to make the man he loved happy. He should start acting like a man in love, not a fool in love.

"I’ll look into the preparation better by tomorrow. Are you sure you want me to handle your wedding?" He asked Lake and Audrey.
Audrey nodded, "Yes, well leave it to, surprise us. The garden is your canvas. Paint it however you want. Until you’re done, the area will be marked as out of bounds. Not even us is allowed to enter. You’ve got this," She smiled.
Mark smiled, winking at Audrey, "You’ve got it, sweetheart, if it was just him, I’d probably suggest a wedding in a swamp." He grinned at Lake.
"Let’s go make love, baby. We’re not the ones about to sleep alone and cold tonight." Lake said and carried Audrey bridal style.
Audrey chuckled, wrapping her arms around Lake’s shoulder, "I’m sorry, Mark, I think he might be right this time, bye!" She laughed as Lake carried her out of the office.
Mark gritted his teeth as he stared at them and left the office.
"So much for helping them plan a wedding," he cleared his throat and picked up his phone.
His face fell when he saw numerous notifications, but none from the person he was missing.
As he left the office, he wondered what Leon did all day. Did he even miss him for a second?
Was he already preparing to sleep for the night? Would he come to him tonight?
Mark was torn as he walked through the passage that led to their rooms.
He contemplated knocking on Leon’s door but shook his head. He was hurt, too. Leon had to make an effort to make them work.
If Leon still threatened him with leaving him, then it meant that Leon isn’t seeing them as a lasting couple. He was taking the whole thing like a fun ride that had a limited period.
He loved Leon so much that it hurt him so deeply each time he had to be away from him.
He sighed and walked past Leon’s room, heading to his, which was at the end of the passage.
He entered his room and robotically undressed before heading to the shower.
His mind kept racing with thoughts of Leon as he showered, his chest feeling empty like his heart was missing from it.
With a towel around his waist, he walked out of the bathroom and stood in front of his mirror. His eyes looked empty, just like his heart.
"What if he really left for Paris tomorrow morning?" He whispered, clenching his fists as he thought of what to do.
"God... he’s so stubborn," He covered his face with his hands.
He suddenly froze when he heard a knock on the door, followed by the gentle yet manly scent of his mate.
He immediately spun around and marched toward the door, but just as he was about to pull it open, he hesitated.
’What if he were here to reject me?’ He thought, fear gripping his nerves.
Swallowing hard, he pulled the door open.
Leon stood there in white pyjamas, staring up at Mark’s face with unreadable eyes.
"Can I come in?" Leon asked, tugging his collar nervously.
