Hated By The Alpha-Chapter 189: A place for safety
"Really... why have you brought me here? You thought I was going to hurt those girls?" Green slowly retrieved her hand from Sebastian’s.
Sebastian sighed.
Caleb might have been right, Green is the worst girl to like. Her coldness seeps through the bone like winter’s first breath—beautiful, biting, and impossible to hold.
He knew she was avoiding his green lights, but it was okay, he had time.
"Well, wanna see what Melody’s friend needs help with?" Sebastian asked, standing from the church and offering Green his hand.
"The only smart suggestion you’ve made so far," Green stood, not taking his extended hand.
"Let’s go, Alpha," She said and walked past him.
Sebastian lowered his hand to his side and followed Green out of the café.
"Hey! Wait up!" He jogged to meet up with her, and when he caught up with her, he placed his hand on her shoulder and pretended to pant.
"Wheew! You’ve hit rollers under your feet or what? You move damn fast," He wiped invincible sweat away from his forehead.
"I’m really trying not to make eat grass," Green shoved his hand away from her shoulder, walking ahead.
Sebastian chuckled, "I don’t mind starting with you since you’re the greenest of grasses," He smirked and caught with her, falling in step beside her.
"The struggle is real, huh?" Caleb was heading to the pack’s hospital when he saw Sebastian hustling for Green’s feelings.
"Keep walking, Doc. You should concentrate on not killing a patient today," Sebastian replied, not slowing his step beside Green.
Caleb halted and turned to look at Sebastian’s figure, "If the patient was you, I wouldn’t mind!" He chuckled, shaking his head as Sebastian secretly brought his hand behind him and gave him the middle finger.
He sighed and walked inside the hospital building, hoping he wouldn’t really lose a patient that day.

"Come in," Lake called from inside his office.
The door smoothly opened, revealing Melody and Ava.
"Good morning, Alpha... Audrey," Nelidy reluctantly added Audrey as she saw her sitting on the table beside Lake’s chair.
"Good morning, Alpha, Ms. Audrey," Ava greeted politely, bowing her head.
"Sit, ladies," Lake pointed to the chairs I’m front of his desk.
Audrey simply stood from the table and lowered herself on Lake’s lap, resting her head on his chest as her eyes glued to Ava. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
She wasn’t worried about Melody anymore, not because she was without trouble but because she already knew her agenda; she was now focused on this new girl, and she hadn’t really had time to figure out what she wanted.
Read her mind, yeah?
That would be no fun.
Overall, these girls were no threat to her, unraveling their secrets that quickly would make everything end soon in a boring way.
She couldn’t shake off the very familiar feeling Ava, and she couldn’t remember where they had met before.
She tried to sniff her wolf out, but it was almost as if it was dead, but she was indeed a werewolf.
"What brings you here, ladies?" Lake asked, his hand slowly rubbing Audrey’s arm.
Melody cleared her throat, looking away from Lake and Audrey’s position, her mind was already filling he thoughts with what they could have done behind closed doors... what only she should have done with Lake.
"Um, my friend -" She paused as the door suddenly opened behind them.
"Hi, everyone. Sorry, I’m late," Sebastian strode into the office, dragging Hren in with him.
Lake sighed, staring at his friend with resignation.
Audrey smiled, "Ah, more audience. Please, sit," she pointed them to a sofa.
Green slid her hand out of Sebastian’s and sat herself on the sofa, her back erect and eyes locked on Ava.
Sebastian lowered himself beside Green, crossing his legs, "Please, carry on, Melody. Don’t let me distract you."
Melody frowned, glancing at Green, "Alpha, my friend thought she would have some privacy on this discussion -"
"That was her thought, not his," Sebastian cut her off.
"Hurry and speak Melody; I have other things to attend to," Lake ordered.
Ava placed a gentle hand on Melody’s lap, "It’s okay, Melody. I don’t mind the company." She smiled.
She turned her face to Lake, avoiding Audrey’s gaze. "I’m from Alpha Killian’s pack, Melody’s father. We ate here for two purposes." She sat up, fixing her hair behind her ear.
"Our pack has recently been attacked by rogues; the first attack was handled, but our birders keep getting breached each night. Alpha Killian has asked his daughter to come and seek your help... a few of your trackers and warriors are all he needs to permanently defeat the rogue pack," Ava explained.
Lake frowned. "And what puts you in the right place to make such demands from me. Not even Melody, Killian’s daughter could do that. Now, he sends you to deliver such an important message to me? He knows the answer, Ava... go back and tell him you have failed."
Ava lowered her head in apology, "Please, forgive me, Alpha; I was just speaking on her behalf. I was put in place," She said.
"Indeed," Sebastian scoffed.
"I am here on behalf of my father, Alpha. We need your great assistance," Melody bowed her head.
"Go back to Killian, Melody, tell him to do the right thing. This is all the time I have for both of you," Lake said dismissively.
"I will make sure he hears, Alpha. But, we have more requests to make from you, if you can just give us a minute," Melody entertained her fingers on her thigh, rubbing her thumbs together anxiously.
"I’m done with you, Melody," Lake replied.
"Please, let’s hear her out. Maybe they really need your help," Audrey pleaded with Lake, turning her head to look into his eyes.
Lake sighed, "Speak." He could not say no to Audrey.
"Um, well, I know that my time in your pack has expired, given that our contract has ended, too. But, I was wondering if you could let us stay in your pack until the rogue issue has been resolved in our pack. The risk keeps getting higher each day, with rogue infiltrating marts and parks; we didn’t know how long before they get to our homes," Melody narrated.
"We know your pack is the largest and strongest; it will be of great relief if you are allowed to stay for a little while," Ava added.
Lake was quiet for some time before he spoke, "Why hide?" He asked.
Melody blinked in confusion, glancing at Ava, who looked just as confused.
"I don’t understand, Alpha," Melody replied.
"If I may, Alpha," Green bowed her head to Lake.
Lake simply nodded, permitting her to speak
Green smirked in delight.
She stood up and walked over to Melody’s chair, placing her hand on the back of the chair as she stood behind it.
"You and your fake Barbie need a place to stay for safety, right?" Green questioned calmly.
Melody and Avan felt extremely uncomfortable as Green stood behind them. They no longer appreciated the vibe they felt from the room.
Melody nodded, "We do."
"Good. Now, what the Alpha asked was, why hide and not fight?" She rephrased.
Melody frowned, exchanging a look with Ava.
"Fight? What do you mean by fight?" Ava asked in a soft tone.
Green gently spun Ava’s chair around and placed his hands on each side, leaning down to stare at Ava’s face.
"Yes, fight. If you really claim to have an attack on your pack, you’re supposed to stay and fight, especially your friend, Melody. She is the only heir, right?" She asked in a low voice.
Ava pressed her back to the chair, nodding, "Yes, she’s the only heir," she replied.
"Pity, only heir without Alpha blood," Green scoffed and straightened herself, moving over to Melody to take the same position she did with Ava.
"Tell us, Melody, did you never learn how to fight? Were you only raised to dress pretty and force unmatching makeup on your face?" Green smiled.
Melody frowned, "Don’t speak to me like that. I’m a trained warrior of my father’s pack. Not having an Alpha blood doesn’t make less of an Alpha’s daughter or a werewolf," she bit back.
"Now, you’re going back to your pack, and you’re going to put this much energy you use to run your mouth into action... not with your mouth this time, with these frail limbs of yours," Green tapped Melody’s face and stepped away from her.
"Shall I escort them out, Alpha?" She asked.
Audrey chuckled, secretly winking at Sebastian who was staring with his jaw slacked.
"It’s alright, Green. We can harbor them for a while," Audrey smiled.
"I think I support Green, honey," Lake said.
Audrey laughed, "Just let them stay for a while, please," she kissed his cheek.
Lake sighed, nodding.
"Great. You’re welcome to stay, on one condition," Audrey said, pinning her eyes on Ava.
"What’s your condition?" Melody and Ava asked at the same time.
Ava looked calm, holding Audrey’s gaze for the first time, "What is your condition?" She questioned, again.
"Tell me what you really want. What do you want to gain from your stay here... what do you want from me," Audrey wasn’t smiling; her face turned cold and serious.
