Hated By The Alpha-Chapter 124: Back home
"Audrey!" Alex quickly ran out from the Pack’s hospital to help Audrey carry the woman from her hands.
"Take her to Caleb," Audrey said, pointing him to Lisa.
"Come on," He said to Lisa.
Inside the hospital, Audrey gently lay her unconscious mother on the bed, balancing the pillow behind her head.
She sat beside her, taking her hand in hers.
She stared at her mother’s face; the resemblance was striking, just like she used to see in her dreams before she discovered her powers.
Tears ran down her cheeks as she stared at her mother; she could imagine the kind of suffering she had faced at the hands of Malachi and Elena.
All those years she was suffering in this Pack, she felt abandoned, always wondering why her mother never cared for her. She never knew that she was in a more deathly condition, at least, on her end, no one ever raped her, but her mother had faced constant molestation for years.
She wondered how everything turned out that way, how did her mother end up in the hands of Malachi, she knew her mother would never have gone willingly to Malachi.
The story was still not very clear, but she would find out, soon.
"Audrey," Alpha Lake rushed into the room and Audrey immediately flung herself into his arms.
"It’s alright, it’s alright, baby," He hugged her tightly to himself, closing his eyes as he sniffed her hair.
"I’ll make him pay," Audrey sniffed against his chest.
"Everything is going to be fine, I promise," He said softly, rubbing her back.
Audrey slowly raised her face to him, taking in the face she’d missed so much.
"Welcome home, love," Alpha Lake with a smile and kissed her forehead.
He looked behind her and asked, "How is she?"
Audrey slowly turned to her mother and sighed.
"She’s almost dead," She replied.
Alpha Lake’s eyes widened. "Dead?" He asked softly, looking worriedly at her.
"Almost..." Audrey whispered.
"Oh my goodness! Isabella!" Miranda ran into the room with her twins and Sandra.
She rushed over to the bed and knelt beside it, holding Isabella’s hand tightly in hers, tears flew down her face.
Audrey walked up to her and sat beside the bed, placing her hand on top of Miranda’s, which was still wrapped around her mother’s.
"Look what that monster did to my sister," Miranda cried, hiding her face in the crook of her elbow.
Her twin daughters immediately walked up to her. Maria squatted beside her, silently consoling her; while Mary sat with Audey, placing a hand on her lap.
Alpha Lake and Sandra stood not far away, watching the heartbreaking reunion of a sister and a mother. After nineteen good years, they couldn’t imagine what Audrey and Miranda were feeling.
"Please, heal her, I need to see her smile and talk to me like we used to," Miranda asked, sniffing.
"I can help," Maria said beside her mother.
Audrey slowly shook her head at her, "No, she’s too broken for you to heal," Audrey said, her eyes conveying her pain.
"At least I’ll know that I tried; she’s my aunt," Maria said, staring at Isabella’s unconscious face. She saw the striking resemblance between Audrey and her mother.
If Isabella didn’t look dirty and pale, they’d pass as twins.
"No, Maria, it’ll drain you," Audrey whispered.
"You can’t heal her, Maria. Her wounds are far too deep, not just the external wounds, I feel her spiritual pain too," Miranda explained.
Audrey nodded. "Even I, can’t completely heal her," Audrey confessed.
"But, why?" Mary asked, frowning.
"Sometimes, we let nature take its course. I can only heal her physical wounds. But with her troubled soul, trauma, and developed fears, she’ll have to heal by herself. It’s not that I can’t heal her from those, but I don’t want to," Audrey explained quietly.
Everyone stared at her in confusion. They were all wondering why she had chosen not to heal her mother completely; why was she planning to let her go through the pain of healing those traumatic pasts by herself?
"Why? What don’t you want to heal her completely?" Miranda questioned, wiping the tears away from her face.
She wasn’t going to say that she liked Audrey’s decision but she believed that there must be a good reason why she decided not to.
"If I do, she won’t remember any of us. Healing those kinds of wounds requires complete purifying of the person’s soul; it’s just like deleting everything from the recycle bin, irrecoverable. She’ll lose every memory of her past and become like a new person, learning places and people from scratch. Do you want that, Miranda?" Audrey asked.
Miranda sighed, understanding the situation. Truly, she didn’t want her sister to forget her, and she would want her to remember her baby too; she couldn’t wait to see the look on her face when she realized that she had copied and pasted herself into her daughter.
"I understand. I wouldn’t want her to forget us," Miranda spoke, taking a deep breath and standing from beside the bed.
"We’ll give you some space," Miranda said, helping Maria stand from the floor and taking Mary’s hand as she walked out of the room.
Sandra gave Audrey one last look before walking out behind the others. She had been quiet all through because she didn’t know the right thing to say in that situation.
She only wished that in the end, her friend would overcome all her obstacles.
Alpha Lake was left behind as the others went out of the room. He slowly walked up to Audrey and hugged her head to his waist, gently patting her head.
"Do you need me to go?" He asked in a very soft tone.
Audrey shook her head against him, "Stay." She whispered.
She needed him beside her.

"How is she doing?" Audrey asked Caleb as she stepped out of the hospital with Alpha Lake beside her.
"Lisa is fine; she just needs to take a little nutrient, and she’ll be ready to leave," Caleb replied.
Alex had brought Lisa to him, telling him that Audrey asked him to take care of her. He had done a thorough shake-up on the girl and found nothing wrong with her so he just decided to fix her with some nutritional infusions and let her be on her way.
"That’s nice, she needs it," Audrey said tiredly.
Alpha Lake noticed her tiredness and immediately lifted her into his arms.
"Hey! put me down, people will see," Audrey said, smiling shyly. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
Alpha Lake smirked, "Let them. They’ll see how much I adore you," He kissed her head.
Caleb cleared his throat, awkwardly scratching the back of his neck, "Right... um, I’ll go check on Lisa," He said and immediately escaped the scene.
"You see, you’re making people uncomfortable," Audrey whispered as he proceeded to carry her toward the Packhouse.
"Their problem," He said and tightened his hold around her, ignoring the giggles and whispers he heard around them.
After showering together, Alpha Lake and Audrey walked down to the living room to find sweet, appetizing food placed on the dining table.
Audrey was famished, she immediately ran over to the dining and drew her chair, lowering herself on it and diving into the food.
Alpha Lake chuckled and walked toward her.
"I ordered takeouts; the mood wasn’t right for anyone to prepare anything; hope you love it?" He asked, smiling as he sat down beside her.
"Mm," Audrey nodded, her mouth too full to respond.
He chuckled and joined her in enjoying the delicious food.
"What?" Audrey suddenly paused and turned to look at Alpha Lake who had stopped eating and was now staring at her.
He smiled and shook his head. "I missed you," He said tenderly.
Audrey blushed, looking away, he just had to make sure she was looking into his eyes when he said that.
"Me too," Audrey replied softly.
"Then, do you mind a dessert?" He leaned in close to her, blowing a soft ear into her ear.
Audrey giggled, moving her face away from him. "We can’t, we have things to do," Audrey said, blushing.
"Those can wait, but, can he?" He drew her chair so she faced him, then he slowly trailed his eyes down to the bulge between his legs and back to her eyes.
Audrey’s eyes lingered between his legs, slowly licking her lips as she imagined how good his cock felt each time he dipped it into her.
"I can make your imaginations turn to reality," He whispered, bringing his face close to hers.
He was about to kiss her when the door to the living room suddenly opened.
"Hello, brother. Sorry to interrupt, but it’s time to tame your beast. We have things to deal with," Mark said as he marched into the house.
Audrey giggled and moved away from him. "I guess ’he’ had to wait," Audrey smiled mischievously and stood from her chair.
Alpha Lake glared at Mark, planning how to kill him without people finding out.
"Hey, Mark," Audrey said as she walked back to the living room to meet Mark.
"Hello, Luna. I think you might want to take a look at the three girls you sent on a mission. They seem a bit off, really off actually," Mark said to her.
Audrey instantly remembered Cara, Janeth, and Grace.
So Elena sent them to cause having here? That was what she saw through the raven’s vision.
