Harem Tournament of Champions-Chapter 2 Heated Glares
Beep!
[Host, I am your system known as HTC, welcome to the desire system. It's time to let go of the weak 3 of the lot]
Looking at the weird game-like translucent window which appeared in front of him.
'Weak?' Hisha questioned what he heard in his thoughts and saw.
Looking over to Kritz in confusion, His mouth opened, then closed as he contemplated asking if Kritz could see what he was seeing.
Kritz looked his lord's way, sensing his attention was needed.
When Kritz displayed no reaction whatsoever that could show he could see what Hisha was currently witnessing, he let out a sigh of relief.
'I'm the only one who's hallucinating, got it!' His lips drew into a thin line.
"Lord Hisha, 3 needs to be eliminated," Kritz whispered through the corner of his mouth.
Hisha's mouth gaped slightly open at the similarities between his words and the translucent screen that had appeared before.
'Why eliminate them, what are they fighting for?' He wondered in confusion, all these didn't make any sense to him.
"By eliminate, you don't mean eliminate in that kind of sense, right?" He curiously questioned.
Considering the era, those words sounded more dangerous than they were supposed to be to Hisha.
'If it was some reality show, then this would make a whole lot of sense.' Hisha reasoned.
Kritz raised a brow at his lord's question once again, slightly disturbed by the question posed to him.
Slowly approaching Hisha, Kritz had his brows furrowed.
Hisha had to hold his ground and not stagger back to this slightly suspicious male.
'I am the lord here, I can't be intimidated.' He said trying to pull himself together before his resolve dies out.
"My lord, are you feeling well?" Kritz whispered, his eyes examining Hisha at a quick pace, then back to his face.
"I'm feeling a bit unwell due to the lack of sleep, could we postpone this?" He faked a yawn and looked down at the females once again.
The clear frown on Kritz's face made him reconsider his actions.
'This body doesn't smile? Or was it something else I had said?' Hisha facepalmed at how stupid he felt.
Clearing his throat and putting on a stern face, "I can handle this."
Kritz moved to the side as Hisha walked past him.
Taking a deep breath, Hisha made a mental note of what he was going to say to the women below.
"I appreciate all your effort to participate in this tournament, this would be pushed a few days before I make the first decision."
"As you wish, lord Hisha!" They all chorused in the most heavenly harmonious voices he had heard in such a long time.
His lips raised in a smirk, thinking back to his world where the females wouldn't even look his way, let alone speak to him except for his best friend who had friend-zoned him.
'Ha! Who's laughing now?!' He thought happily.
The doors opened, to enable their exit from the arena.
In an orderly manner, they filed out in one hundred and one rows.
As soon as the door shut, he turned towards Kritz whose brows were knitted. It looked like he was conflicted about something–preferably his lord's decision on postponing the tournament, but unwilling to go against his order.
"My Lord, don't you think that it's unwise to push this?" A male's voice cut in as he walked up the stairs to meet Hisha. f𝔯𝒆𝚎𝚠𝑒𝚋𝓃૦νℯƖ.co𝘮
Looking to his right, he had not taken to account that there might be another male apart from Kritz who could speak to him in such a way.
It was a male, he had messy green hair with bangs hanging right under his chin, he wore a sleeveless black overcoat seamed with gold hemlines over a leafy green robe with a black collar and sash. Black pants and a pair of dark brown boots overlaid with criss-cross patterned black ribbons.
Beep!
[Congratulations host, so not to be as stupid as you can be in this world, you have been granted 'Character Status']
'Stupid? Granted by whom?!' Hisha frowned upon the words that echoed in his thoughts as he read along with the translucent screen.
[Name: Rean Dru]
[Height: 175cm]
[Position: Warlord]
'Not too bad,' he rubbed his chin, this is all he needed to quickly place a name and their role here.
'Warlord huh?' He nodded his head to the useful information.
In a bid to keep up his presumptuous outlook, he raised his chin and had a stoic expression and immediately noticed the smug look on Rean's face.
'Definitely up to no good.' Hisha deduced as he gave another thorough body scan and unintentionally let out a scoff.
A chill ran down his spine, someone was giving off a deadly aura from behind him.
Looking back, Kritz stood straight, not saying a word. He was back to having an expressionless face. Underneath all of that, Hisha could feel a suppressed rage towards Rean. f𝑟𝑒ewe𝚋𝚗૦𝐯e𝘭.c𝗼𝓂
He could only guess they had some sort of feud going on as they tactfully shared heated glares at one another.
"My lord,' Rean bowed.
Hisha nodded to his gesture, imploring him to state what he needed out of his lips.
"This is foolishness, my lord, wouldn't it be wise to continue with the tournament? The harem would be strengthened if they know the consequences of being the weak li–"
Boom!
'What in the world?!' Hisha crossed his hand over his eyes from the debris that flew in the air.
A cloud of smoke engulfed the area.
Opening his eyes and lowering his hands, he was quick enough to notice the flying debris that had flown in his direction suspended in the air before dropping to the ground.
'I got powers?' He gawked at the fallen debris for a brief second.
Bam!
Bam!
His attention was drawn toward the sound of a groan and blows.
The dust gradually settled, revealing Kritz sitting on Rean's stomach. He had his left hand holding Rean by the collar, and his right hand raised, knuckles covered in blood and going right down for another strike.
Bam!
"Never question our lord ever again, you low life!" Kritz yelled in rage, his red eyes glinted and glowed as he gave a series of punches to Rean's face.
Hisha's eyes widened at the sight, it would turn out that he was right about these two.
'How the hell does my butler beat up a warlord?!' He panicked and took a step back, unsure of what would happen to him in this world.
"My lord," Kritz's voice stopped Hisha from taking another step backward.
"What should I do about this low life?" He sneered at Rean as he spoke.
His expression switched from disdain while looking down pathetically at Rean at his mercy, to stoic as he requested Hisha's opinion on his next action.
