Harem Startup : The Demon Billionaire is on Vacation-Chapter 692: I’m Here to Sin Politely
Chapter 692 – I’m Here to Sin Politely
Naomi laughed. "Welcome to being irresistible."
"I blame my face," he said dryly. "And the fact I exist."
Zehar wobbled proudly in the corner. Lux didn’t know if that was agreement or an offering to stab someone. Possibly both.
He exhaled slowly and reached for the wine again, the glass perfectly refilling itself as if the system knew this conversation was far from over.
"Then we’ll see about this later," he muttered. "I still have some invitations to sort through."
Naomi arched a brow. "From who?"
He tapped his fingers once against the glass, thoughtful. "The Celestials. The Avariel. And... the Envy household."
That last one lingered. Longer than the others.
The table quieted just slightly. Not awkward, just that instinctual hush whenever Lux got that look in his eye.
He was silent, deep in thought. That Envy household... if he wanted their support, he’d need to invest something they couldn’t ignore. Not to overthrow the king, but to climb higher. Quietly. Safely. Strategically. And as the thought crystallized, his expression shifted again.
And there it was.
That CFO face.
The plotting face.
Cold. Calculating. Beautifully terrifying.
His eyes didn’t narrow, but his whole expression sharpened. As if he wasn’t sitting shirtless in a room full of powerful women and one cursed Netplix slime, but on a throne of ledgers, pulling invisible strings in a grand infernal chessboard.
That face made kingdoms nervous.
And Naomi, with the bluntness only a woman who’d slept on top of him could wield, pointed at him with her fork.
"You’re plotting again."
"I am," he replied, not even denying it. "Just eat now. We’ll see about this later."
Rava snorted. "He’s so dramatic."
"I’m strategic," Lux corrected, biting into a slice of honeyed peach like it was part of his plan too.
They ate.
The room returned to comfort, if not calm.
Lyra refilled everyone’s drinks like clockwork. Naomi leaned into Lux’s side as she finished her meal. Ely quietly took a picture of Zehar when she thought no one was watching. Rava casually draped her legs over Lux’s thigh like claiming space was a full-time job.
The next morning.
All went as usual.
No attack. No mess. No screaming abyss lords exploding into fire. No divine omens.
Just peace.
Lucky him.
He woke up early as usual and hit the private gym to clear his mind. When he finished, hit the shower and went to the dining room, the smell of toast, cinnamon, and coffee brewed strong enough to melt silver. His girls were already halfway through breakfast when he joined them, hair damp from a quick shower, still buttoning the collar of his black infernal shirt.
Rava gave him a quick peck on the cheek before diving back into her seafood rice bowl.
Ely asked if he needed backup.
He said no.
They all left soon after. Back to their jobs.
Mira had a business conference.
Rava had to check on a fish nest migration.
Naomi was fixing legal paperwork Lux hadn’t even bothered to read.
Ely had her elf heritage council check-in.
Sira?
She’d announced over coffee, "My nails are ruined, Lux," glaring at him dramatically. "I’m getting them redone before I kill someone with uneven claws."
Only Lullaby was still asleep.
Curled up under the covers, smiling faintly, one leg dangling off the edge of the bed like she was dreaming about floating.
And Lux?
He stood in front of the mirror in his room.
Checking his reflection.
No white robes today.
Today, he came as himself.
The Prince of Greed.
He wore an infernal-cut suit, black velvet embroidered in obsidian thread, shimmering subtly with shifting runes. Gold clasps down the front. His signet hung over his chest.... the sigil of Greed carved in jade and bone.
His horns were polished. His tail wrapped around one thigh like a belt. His wings folded tight and perfect.
Everything was exact. Sharp. Beautiful.
Almost 10 a.m.
He exhaled slowly. "Right... time to go."
He pulled the voucher from his dimensional pocket, formal, celestial-approved, sealed in light script and bound by dual-realm protocol.
A single-use pass to the Upper Realm’s diplomatic chamber.
He opened the door to the hallway.
But it wasn’t a hallway anymore.
The space had shifted.
It was an elevator now. A glass elevator encased in golden script, hovering in a column of soft light.
Inside, a soft hum of hymns played like ambient music.
The platform hovered, waiting.
Lux rolled his eyes. "Let’s go."
He stepped in.
The door shimmered shut behind him.
[System: Celestial Ascent Protocol initiated.]
[Please remain still while dimensional alignment stabilizes.]
[Note: You are not authorized to summon weapons during diplomatic travel.]
"Yeah, I know. You don’t have to remind me," Lux said flatly.
[System: Statement logged. Passive charm effect detected. Aura suppression engaged.]
He snorted. "Of course it is."
[Warning: Incoming High-Pressure Formal Encounter. Emotional regulation advised.]
"I’m always regulated," he muttered.
[That is a lie.]
Lux raised a brow. "Excuse me?"
[Statistical review: You have not completed a single celestial diplomatic meeting without at least one emotional spike, a sarcastic remark, and/or a suggestive comment.]
"...That’s slander."
[It’s a report.]
Lux exhaled and glanced upward, watching the light flicker above as the elevator ascended through invisible layers of reality.
The space around him shifted, clouds rolling outside the transparent glass, light warping from gold to white to prismatic shimmer. Celestial barrier lines traced against the walls like divine circuit boards. Yeah, this was a special elevator, not the usual one.
[Reminder: The following phrases are NOT recommended:]
["Hey, wanna bang?"]
["Can I sign the contract between your thighs?"]
["I’m here to sin politely."]
Lux grinned. "I only used that last one twice."
[Three times.]
"...Fair."
[Estimated arrival: 42 seconds. Would you like to review cultural taboos and diplomatic guidelines?]
"No."
[Would you like to summon a projected reminder of what not to say this time?]
"No."
The elevator continued to rise.
Silence fell again. Just the soft hum of divinity. The pulsing glyphs of balance. The ever-present pressure of heavenly scrutiny approaching.
Lux adjusted his collar. Smoothed his hair back once more.
[System: Your heart rate is elevated. Anxiety detected.]
He smirked. "Not anxiety. Excitement."
[Ah. Greed.]
"Exactly."
The elevator slowed.
The glyphs stopped spinning.
