Harem Lord System: Post Apocalyptic World-Chapter 47: So Cool
Lukas was relieved to see that. This means that the dead walker was level 0 and wasn’t much of a threat for Grace.
When the zombie came close and was about to lunge at Grace, she gripped her sword tightly and while sidestepping stabbed the neck quite easily since the zombie wasn’t able to stop its movement.
SHRRKKK!
SPLURT!
"Eww~" Grace immediately stepped back while leaving the sword embedded in the neck of the zombie as blood spluttered from the wound.
The zombie fell to the ground as it was dead.
Lukas shook his head. "You have to take that sword out since I am not going to give you another one. Also take that crystal which fell to the ground."
Her stab hit the crystal so it easily fell out of the neck.
Grace flinched while looking at the blood-stained sword. Even though the handle was clean, she felt a little hesitant. Nonetheless she knew that she must take that sword.
There was one plus point. Although these zombies look rotten, they don’t give off a rotten smell of death, it’s just little foul smell. As if they were alive somehow.
Grace became determined and bent down. She gripped the sword and pulled it out while stepping back. She decided to be careful from next time. Now she thanked Lukas inwardly for not giving her a knife or her hands would have been stained with blackish rotten blood.
She looked at the pristine crystal and was relieved that it was somehow totally clean. She picked it up and came back to the group.
"Good work." Lukas chuckled. "Let’s go."
Nothing dropped as loot but he had expected this. Drop rates are really quite low for level 0 dead walkers.
They were just walking when three dead walkers came running toward them. They were definitely in the vicinity when that previous dead walker screamed.
"Your turn sis." He took out his bow and used two arrows in such a way that two dead walkers were killed in the impact and the last one was thrown off to the ground but it was still alive.
"Here take it." He took out a common sword, arm guards and passed them to her. He wanted her to use a sword as it looks more graceful and he had no doubt she would have chosen it.
Hannah took it and nodded. She looked at the zombie which was about to stand and wore her equipment before moving toward it. She had seen how Grace had handled the situation so she was confident that she would be able to do it. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
It wasn’t an empty thought. She had done fencing for one year out of curiosity when she was in high school and she wasn’t bad at it. In fact she was very good at it.
This sword was a little heavy but it would work. She just had to let her instincts do the work.
As Hannah moved, Grace’s eyes were fixed on the shimmering bow in Lukas’s hands. It was the first time she had seen it. " So cool. What is its level?"
Lukas remembered that he really hadn’t used this bow in front of his sisters. "Its level is low but upgradable. Its grade is what the real amazing thing about it is..."
"Really? What grade is it?" Grace asked.
Lukas just passed the bow. "Check it for yourself..."
The weapons wielded by evolvers are visible in their stats so she could read all the information about it.
Grace caught the bow and it was lighter than she had imagined it to be. When she saw her status, she got stunned. "W-whaatt! Where did you find this?"
She hadn’t heard of epic grade ever so it might be one and the only piece in this whole world right now. She felt a noticeable change in her strength when she held it.
Emily and Elena became curious too. Especially Elena since she had read some novels with game settings and system. She also felt like Lukas’s power is similar to the system she had read about.
Nonetheless none of them asked about the bow as Hannah was about to face the zombie. Lukas didn’t respond back to Grace because of this reason too.
Hannah had heard their talks but her attention was totally on the zombie right now. She felt inherent disgust seeing it from close but gladly there was no feeling of remorse in killing it.
As it approached her range in which she could stab easily, she took a step back to distance herself a little more as the zombie tilted to grab her. Instead of stabbing, she slashed through its neck since it faltered due to missing her.
Slickkk!
The moment the head of the zombie separated, she backed off to avoid blood and even her sword was quite clean.
The crystal went out a little far and the zombie’s body fell limply beside her along with its head which tumbled a little further.
"Nice work Hannah..." Emily immediately commended.
Lukas was relieved that his sisters were able to kill these dead walkers easily. It would ease his mind a lot from now on.
Hannah smiled and came back after picking the crystal.
They went further and Grace wanted to use the bow so he told her not to use too much strength to pull the string and also don’t hold the string for a longer time to aim as it would release a strong arrow which would ruin the crystal.
Grace nodded but when they found the zombie, she still wasn’t able to control the strength so the crystal got destroyed. Lukas immediately took the bow back and even when she sulked he didn’t listen to her.
Every crystal was precious right now. He wanted them to reach level 2 before he left so they needed 300 level 0 crystals or 60 level 1 crystals.
It sounds like a lot but he had a place to gather them. The forest beside this neighborhood. Humans aren’t the only ones who got infected. Animals have too.
