Harem app-Chapter 143: Extending a helping hand
Chapter 143: Extending a helping hand
Alice’s POV
"Ok, now something more important!" Amelia said loudly, after the three of us agreed on a date together.
Then, she got out of the pool and sat on the floor in a sensual pose, highlighting her bikini.
"What do you think of my outfit?" Liam seemed surprised by the sudden question. Which made Amelia pout cutely.
"You haven’t said anything about it since I got here," the girl leaned towards her boyfriend and squeezed her breasts between her arms, making them look even bigger. "Am I not sexy enough to deserve a compliment?"
Finally realizing what Amelia wanted, Liam smiled slightly and complimented her at length.
In response, the girl made even more sexy poses, this time trying her best to highlight her perfect butt and thighs. Probably because she knew those were her main weapons.
I couldn’t deny that seeing that made me feel quite envious. I also wanted Liam to look at me that way and compliment me.
That said, the truth was that I didn’t even know if I could make sexy poses. And even if I could, there was no way to compare myself to Amelia’s fabulous body. It was an impossible competition to win from the start.
"Don’t just stare," suddenly, the girl jumped into the water and hugged me from behind, then lightly squeezed my breasts, drawing Liam’s attention to them. "I’m sure he wants to see you too."
Then, she turned to Liam and asked, "So what do you think of her?"
"Your bikini is extremely sexy," Liam immediately said, and I could see his dick getting harder.
Naturally, I got excited about that. And I couldn’t contain my smile when I noticed that he was also looking at me. He also thought I was sexy.
"How long are you going to stay there? You should pose too," Amelia finally said, pulling me out of the pool.
"But..." I tried to resist, embarrassed, while admitting to myself that I had no idea how to strike a sexy pose. If I tried, it would just look ridiculous.
But that didn’t seem to discourage the girl at all. She simply convinced me that she would teach me what to do. And when Liam insisted that he also wanted to see me posing, I couldn’t refuse.
We didn’t even care about the few people around us, as the three of us lost ourselves in the funny and sexy moment.
Obviously, I struggled a lot at first, but after a while, I started getting strong reactions from the guy. And every time he stared at me with those lustful eyes, I felt sexier.
At some point, we even took photos. I don’t remember whose idea it was, maybe it was even mine.
All I knew was that I wanted Liam to have something sexy to remember me by... But why? I wasn’t even his girlfriend, nor would I ever be.
I decided not to overthink it and just enjoy the moment. Then, we had the chance to admire the beautiful nighttime pool show.
After all that fun, we were hungry. Outside the pool area, there were some tables, so we sat at one of them. Then Liam walked away to get us something to eat.
Which meant it was just Amelia and me alone at the table.
Immediately, I feared the mood would turn awkward. Honestly, I preferred not to think about anything, when Liam was around, I could do exactly that and just have fun.
"See? Sharing isn’t so bad," Amelia quickly struck up a conversation. "I won’t deny that sometimes I get jealous. And sometimes, he ends up not having time for me because of it."
She kept speaking in a gentle tone, almost as if she was trying to convince me that this was a good idea. From what she said, she even implied that she’d let me be Liam’s girlfriend too.
Up until that point, I had understood that she was his girlfriend and the others were just women he slept with. But I would soon understand that things were quite different.
And, in the midst of our pleasant conversation, there was something I couldn’t ignore.
"Why are you helping me?" I asked in a low tone, as nervous as I felt.
In response, Amelia seemed confused. Maybe she hadn’t understood the question properly. Or maybe she just hadn’t heard, because I spoke too softly.
Anyway, I explained, "He was angry with me at the time. You could have taken the opportunity to make him hate me forever."
I had difficulty finding the right words, and I could only hope that she would understand me somehow.
"But instead, you, well... it might just be my impression, but I think you did everything possible to make him stop being angry with me."
I continued talking, while giving examples of how she had helped me. Especially how she always made a point of including me.
I could to some extent understand why she would allow her boyfriend to sleep with other women.
But that was too insane. She was actively making an effort to bring me closer to him. Even though Liam himself was still angry with me.
To me, it didn’t seem like she had anything to gain from it. Especially when she knew that I liked the boy. And that I would do anything to steal him for myself.
And in the end, I could only think of one explanation, as stupid as it was.
"Do you happen to like girls?" I thought it was really unlikely, even impossible that she was magically in love with me.
But there was no other explanation. For the way she had acted. Maybe she just had terrible taste in women and was interested in me...
In response, Amelia laughed, in fact, she almost burst out laughing for a few moments.
"No, no, I prefer men." She explained, still having trouble stopping laughing. "I can’t even understand why men like fat balloons so much."
To exemplify her point, she squeezed her own large breasts, then lifted and released them. Commenting that there was nothing special about them.
"I much prefer a muscular and firm chest, on which I can rest my head. As well as strong arms that can wrap around me and protect me."
She continued talking for some time about all the things she liked in men. Which, more specifically, was more of a list of all the things she liked in Liam.
Having said all that, there was still a question that bothered me deeply.
"So why did you help me this far?"
Faced with my question, Amelia smiled charmingly. It was like a gentle angel, extending her hand to a poor lost soul.
"Well, it’s hard to explain," she looked up at the sky, perhaps searching for the words she needed. "I think it’s out of a sense of duty, or for Karma..."
And her explanation only confused me more. But, honestly, it seemed like she was saying those things more to herself than to me.
"Well, when I was really down, my best friend reached out to me. And, I know you don’t like me very much, but I really like you, so I wanted to help you too. Honestly, I don’t want to get too involved in your life, but I feel like you need Liam at this moment. And believe me, everything you think is good about him, know that it’s even better."
Right after saying that, she muttered something to herself that I simply couldn’t understand:
"I still think they’re crazy, but now I understand why they always want to recruit more. There’s something satisfying about sharing something that will do them good with others..."
Honestly, I had to spend some time thinking, trying to process everything she had told me.
To begin with, I was genuinely surprised that Amelia knew I didn’t like her. That said, when I commented on it, the girl said it was quite obvious from the way I looked at her.
Soon after, she asked me why I didn’t like her. And, honestly, I had no way to answer. After all, the only real reason was the fact that I was envious of her. Therefore, unable to answer, I decided to change the subject.
I also had some questions I wanted to ask. To start with, I was genuinely surprised to learn that she liked me. I thought everyone on the volleyball team hated me.
"Where did you get that idea?" Amelia replied, shocked. "Sure, Sophia has a rivalry with you... Oh! And Rebeca is jealous because you’re both blondes, but your hair is way prettier than hers. But no one hates you. Seriously, who told you that rumor?"
"No... uh... no one told me, I just... well, you know..." I couldn’t explain it at all.
Because of that, I decided to just change the subject. I asked her what she meant when she said her best friend had reached out when she needed help.
In response, she told me, albeit briefly, the story of how she joined the harem.
And of course, that only left me with more questions. Since when did Liam have a harem? Not only was he dating both Helena and Amelia at the same time, but he was also dating with other women.
Honestly, it was all pretty absurd.
"You’re telling me he’s dating two of the top five girls in our college and still sleeping with another one?" I said, referring to Amelia, Helena, and Yasmin. "Please don’t tell me he’s involved with Sophia or Karen too?" I asked, completing what I considered the so-called "top five."
"Why did you leave yourself out of the ranking? You know the guys almost always put you first in the beauty rankings."
I had a hard time believing what Amelia said. I wasn’t that pretty, but she stated it as if it were obvious. Besides, I didn’t even know the guys actually had a ranking.
"I guess Sophia is the only one left for him to complete the top five. I can’t let Lilith find out about this, or she’ll make our lives hell until Sophia joins the harem," Amelia muttered, probably to herself.
"Who’s Lilith?" I asked, trying to understand what she meant.
"A crazy girl," Liam, who had just returned carrying a tray of food, said in unison with Amelia.
"But you don’t need to worry about her," Liam turned to Amelia and explained. "Unfortunately, she’ll be out of the picture for the next six months."
"What do you mean?" the girl asked, surprised.
"I’ll explain later, well, at least I’ll try..." Liam set the burgers down on the table.
Since we were all starving, we decided to set the conversation aside and focus on eating.
But amid the laughter and chatter, as we were about to leave, I suddenly remembered, my mom had told me not to come home tonight. And just like that, a heavy anxiety settled in my chest again.
I’d completely forgotten about it, and now I barely had time to figure out a solution. What was I supposed to do?
It was then that I felt a soft, warm hug from behind.
"Are you okay?" Amelia asked gently.
I hesitated for a second but finally whispered:
"My mom told me not to come home tonight... and I have no idea where I’m going to sleep." I kept talking, explaining how I’d lied about staying at a friend’s place, hoping something would work out.
"Oh, that’s no problem! You and Liam can stay at my place tonight," Amelia smiled kindly. "By the way, my parents aren’t home."
I was surprised by what she was implying, while Liam simply agreed and offered to throw away the trash. When he came back, there was a beautiful smile on his face.
