Li Rong roared angrily as soon as he snapped out of his daze. He had never been treated like this before, who was this mer and how dare he push him away like this?

Even Shao Xia was shocked by Bai Mumu’s behaviour. She immediately walked over to Li Rong and held him up; she then glared at Bai Mumu and said to him in a reproachful voice, "What are you doing, Mumu? How can you push someone like this?"

Bai Mumu also knew that he had gone a bit too far but when he heard that someone was snatching his partner, how could he stay calm? He thought that she would take him as her first and official husband. Thus, Bai Mumu had always put himself in the shoes of the official husband. If the heir of the tribe took Shao Xia as his partner, would he still be able to keep her? He didn’t think so!

Bai Mumu did not think that he did anything wrong. He looked at the woman in front of him and said tearfully, big tears like raindrops started to trickle down his cheeks as he questioned Shao Xia, "I mean, why would you do such a thing? You know that I care about you and yet you still went ahead and got close with another mer. What do you mean by these actions of yours?"

"You? Who are you?" Li Rong frowned as he stood up on his feet. He clutched his chest and looked at the mer in front of him.

"Who do you think I am? I am her partner." Bai Mumu didn’t dare to step back; he glared at the mer in front of her. With his eyes locked on the mer who was causing trouble in his life, he said to him, "She has been living with me for a while now; you tell me what I am to you!"

"Nonsense! How can you be her partner? She has chosen me as your partner. So you better stay in your place." Li Rong directly grabbed Shao Xia’s arm and pulled her behind him. He was worried that the mer in front of him would try to snatch Shao Xia away from him, which was why he stood in front of Shao Xia like a protective hen who was trying his best to protect his chick.

Seeing this, Bai Mumu turned to look at the woman in front of him. "Are you really going to do this to me?"

Neither of them were willing to let go of this matter, which put Shao Xia in a difficult and humiliating situation.

Shao Xia knew that she intended to go to the Mighty Eagle Tribe; there was no way she was going to take care of Bai Mum’s feelings and as for the rest of the tribe, they were going to die sooner or later. Since they were destined to be ruined, why would she even bother to take care of them?

Bai Mumu watched blankly as Shao Xia coaxed and comforted the mer from the Mighty Eagle tribe. He was not a fool; his uncle had often told him that Shao Xia was sneaky and ambitious and that she would betray him but he was not willing to listen to her. He thought that his uncle was upset with him because he picked the woman who was once his cousin’s partner, but Shao Xia was so talented that he couldn’t stop himself.

Who would have thought that his uncle was right!

This woman had no intention of imprinting on him and was just relying on him.
