Ignoring the pain in her bosom, she rushed inside the cave and before the three mers could even say something, she pulled Ruan Chanchan behind her. She looked even more offended than Ruan Chanchan’s husband. Glaring at the mer she said to him, "Master Zhai, I wonder what you mean by this?"

It was one thing that these two mers brought such a risk to her tribe; now they even wanted to snatch Ruan Chanchan away. Who did they think they were? Did they think that she was dead?

Zhai Rongyu realised his mistake when he saw Chief Xie’s expression turning blue and red. He sheepishly smiled at her and corrected his words, "Ah chief Xie, I didn’t mean anything. It’s just that Miss Ruan’s skills are way too good. I was just thinking if she—"

"She is fine. She is alright, and she is not going anywhere," said Chief Xie fiercely as she pushed Ruan Chanchan out of the cave and hurried her son along with her. She was glaring at Zhai Rongyu throughout the entire time because she couldn’t rush up and smack the mer on the face because of his position as the aide and partner of the prince of killer whales.

As she successfully pushed Ruan Chanchan out of the cave, Chief Xie turned to look at her, and her lips were curled up in a soft smile as she said to Ruan Chanchan, "Sweetie, you shouldn’t pay attention to what this one was saying. Just keep doing your own thing, okay?"

Wow, this is crazy. I knew that the supermarket golden finger was something else, but I never thought that it could also supply weapons and defence equipment. "What do you mean by how was it?" Ruan Chanchan asked with a frown. She rubbed her head with her fingers and glanced at the mer, and when she saw that the mer was looking at her with a glittering look in his eyes, she couldn’t help but frown. "What?" She asked when she saw the mer staring at her as if he were looking at a celebrity.

"Sister, did you really see the prince? Is he really as charismatic as everyone says?"
