Guide To Reign My Tycoon Husbands-Chapter 583: Lost the bet
Chapter 583: Lost the bet
"Who said that I had any evidence?" Luo Huian rolled her eyes and remarked, "If I had any evidence, would I have wasted my time and money? I would have kicked them long ago."
When the Luo family heard that Luo Huian had no evidence, they were dumbstruck. Luo Yeqing turned to look at Luo Huian and said to her, "B–But... what if Qin Qiu had asked you to provide the evidence? What would you have done then?"
"He wouldn’t." Luo Huian was confident as she understood Qin Qiu really well. She turned to look at her mother, who still looked a bit stupefied. She then said to her, "Master Qin had a guilty conscience, so as long as I insisted that I had a piece of evidence, then he would have cracked sooner or later." The key to dealing with people like Qin Qiu was to hold on and continue putting on pressure.
As long as a person had a guilty conscience, they would certainly break.
When Luo Yeqing heard Luo Huian’s explanation, she sighed. She never knew that her daughter was so good at using psychological tactics; these were one of the few skills that she used when she was dealing with her opponents.
Luo Yeqing raised her head and looked at Luo Huian carefully. In the past, she often thought that Luo Qingling was more suitable for taking care of their family business, but now that Luo Huian had changed, Luo Yeqing was seeing her in a new light.
Compared to Luo Qingling, Luo Yeqing now thought that Luo Huian was much more suitable to run the company.
Luo Huian had no idea that her mother had already made up her mind to hand her the entire Luo corporation. As the chill crawled up her spine, she looked left and right, wondering who was the one who was scheming against her.
That Qin family had better not cause trouble for her or else!
"Umph!"
Qin Zhengbang, who was thrown on the street, let out a painful groan as he looked at the thugs. He was shivering hard as he stared at the boss who had caused him mental and physical pain these past few days.
He rubbed his shoulder that hit the pavement and resentfully said to them, "Why are you treating me like this? Hasn’t the interest already been paid?" These thugs actually dragged him from the hospital corridor and dumped him on the side pavement like he was some sort of useless piece of trash.
The thought alone left Qin Zhengbang filled with rage, but he was too scared to fight against these thugs.
"Ptui!" the boss man spat on the street and said to Qin Zhengbang, "Who are you showing off to? It was your little niece who paid the money. Show this temper when you are worthy of something. Let’s go." He told his gang, who sneered and leered at Qin Zhengbang, who shivered and lowered his head in fright, no longer daring to look at the men and women who were walking away.
It was only when they were gone that he raised his head and spat on the ground before saying, "Who are they looking down at? Just wait! One of these days, I will certainly turn my fate around."
After he finished speaking, he turned around and looked at his father before saying to him, "Father, look at your account. See if Luo Huian has sent the hundred million yuan that she has promised. If not, we need to go and cause trouble for him."
"Oh, my sweet child, don’t worry," Old Master Qin waved his hand. "Who do you think your father is? I checked my account the second I left the hospital, and the money is in my pockets."
When Old Master Qin thought about the hundred million yuan in his account, he felt as if he had eaten tonnes of honey. His mouth was filled with a sweet taste that he couldn’t help but relish.
He spoke to his son, "Now that we have this money, you should think of correcting your wrong habits and think of a way to make money. Your old father is still hoping for you to bring glory."
Qin Zhengbang rolled his eyes and then said to his father, "Of course, I know. Don’t worry, Dad. I will definitely work hard to repay you for the hardships that you have gone through to raise me."
Qin Qiu listened to their conversation, and suddenly a hint of worry crept into his heart; why did he feel like his life was about to be ruined?
**
If Luo Huian had been with Qin Qiu, she would have told him that it was because it was indeed going to be ruined. However, at that moment, she was looking at the scallion pancake that was cooking in the pan and frowning hard.
"Are you sure that you brought me the right person this time around?" She looked at the woman who was kneeling in front of her and sobbing. The more the woman sobbed, the more Luo Huian’s head ached. In the end, she raised her head and shouted, "Stop crying! Can’t you see that I am already troubled enough?"
She was hungry and prepared something to eat, but didn’t even get a chance to flip the pancake when the elf appeared, causing the pancake to turn into scrambled pancake.
The woman who was yelled at was stunned. She immediately hiccuped and turned quiet as she lowered her head and turned silent. Once she stopped crying, Luo Huian heaved a sigh of relief and then walked around the counter.
Her feet padded across the carpeted room, and she looked down at the woman who was kneeling and crouched down. With her hand stretched out, she pushed the hair of the woman back and pulled her head up.
The elf and the woman stayed silent as they watched Luo Huian silently; while the elf was worried that Luo Huian would announce that he had made another mistake, the woman was worried that she would be blamed for the small crimes that she had committed.
After a short while, Luo Huian shook her head and stated, "This woman has indeed committed small crimes such as avoiding taxes, stealing credits and thefts, but she is not the one who had stolen your legacy."
As soon as she finished speaking, the woman heaved a sigh of relief while the elf turned sad. If not for the fact that he was worried that he would look too weak, he would have crumpled on the floor then and there.
"Send her back," said Luo Huian. However, before the woman disappeared, she said to her, "You better tell the truth to those whom you have lied to and cheated, or else it won’t take me long to find you again."
Of course, she was not going to do it, but the woman didn’t have to know.
Thus, before the woman disappeared, she shot a really fearful look at Luo Huian, who simply smiled and waved her hand at her. She then turned to look at the elf before saying to him, "So, this was your second failure. Was it not?"
The elf raised his head and resentfully glared at her before saying, "You know who is the person behind this, right? That’s why you were so confident when you made the deal. Right?"
Luo Huian arched a brow. She wondered how the elf found out the truth and questioned, "How come you found out the truth so soon? Did someone tell you?"
"It was my big sister; she told me that I was an idiot to bet with an immortal. You guys are treacherous and cheaters. You play games with everyone!" as he spoke, his eyes turned red, and the elf knelt on the floor before going flat and kicking his feet in the air. "You cheated me; you knew that the person behind this theft was someone I cannot catch and you lied!"
Luo Huian patted her chest in relief when she saw that the elf was still a fool. She thought for a second that he had gained some wits after being cheated twice, but it seemed like he was still a fool.
She then said to the elf, "It’s not that I lied; it’s just that you were too naive. Who told you to target the humans?"
The elf raised his head and glared at Luo Huian. He said to her, "Then what’s the point of this bet!? I am going to become your slave anyway."
"You should have thought about it before."
"I don’t want to! This is cheating!"
"You should have thought about it before."
"You lied. This doesn’t count."
"You should have thought about it before."
"AHHHH!" the elf slammed his hands on the floor and cried out in frustration, "You — you are shameless."
As he spoke, he was about to disappear when Luo Huian said to him, "Make sure that you get me my spring water."
Pop.
Luo Huian watched the silvery dust and sighed. "Man, I just love bullying these little ones."
