Guide to raise my cutie husbands-Chapter 1695: Made a mess
"What did you say?"
As soon as Yu Dong finished speaking, the mers standing behind her jumped three feet in the air. They all looked at one another in worry.
Now all of them were feeling guilty all of a sudden, don’t tell them that by letting Grandma Yu get close to that brat Ding Nuannuan, they caused her to get sick.
A second or two later, Shen Li said, "Dong Dong, what—what do you mean by saying that grandma is d—dying?"
"Her life force seemed to have been sucked clean," Yu Dong muttered as she looked at Grandma Yu whose complexion on closer look, seemed to be paler than usual. "Though there is a bit of life force left within her, it is nearly nowhere enough. If she doesn’t get better I am afraid—she will only be left with three months."
Chen Mi gasped. His hands flew over to his mouth, with his eyes widening — he looked at his wife and asked, "Is —is it because of that girl?"
Yu Dong’s eyes darkened, she did not want to make her husbands worry but the truth was indeed just as Chen Mi guessed. Grandma Yu was in a perilous condition due to her continuous entanglement with that girl, Ding Nuannuan.
Though Yu Dong did not say anything, her husbands understood the gist of the situation. It was indeed Ding Nuannuan who caused so much trouble.
"I knew it!" Chen Mi bristled, small flames seemed to be burning in his eyes as he stated, "That girl has been hovering around our house for weeks after weeks, even when we chased her away, she came back."
"This is what she was after."
Shen Li on the other hand was worried about Old Madam Yu, he asked, "Can grandma still recover?"
"We can only hope for the best," Yu Dong’s voice was grim as she instilled some of her spiritual energy within Old Madam Yu. "But I cannot give a certain answer."
Her words left the entire house stunned, the joy that they had felt at the return of their wife vanished and was now replaced with familiar pangs of worry and guilt.
Fang Chi nervously wrung his hands and said fretfully, "I should have stopped her...I knew that there was something wrong with that girl. You told me and I—"
"It’s not your fault," Ye Liu said bracingly. "If anything it’s that girl’s fault. What does she even want from us? Why is she causing so much trouble?"
"That girl really is trouble," Chen Mi gritted out in an annoyed voice. He seemed to be pondering over something and then before giving anyone—any kind of warning he twisted on his feet and then started storming out of the house.
"Wh—what..where are you going?" Ye Liu chased after Chen Mi he pulled him back why his arm just as the mer reached the entrance of the main hall. "Where do you think you are going?"
Chen Mi answered with a snort, "Where do you think I am going? I am going to the Ding house. I want to ask what kind of teachings they are giving to their daughter."
That, Ding Nuannuan was going around rampaging throughout the village but he did not say anything as it had nothing to do with him.
What the villagers do, it was not up to him to decide and as long as they do not bother me, Chen Mi didn’t care either.
But he would not sit still if his family was getting targeted by Ding Nuannuan and her family.
Did she think that she could bully them as she liked?
"Calm down," Shen Li stopped Chen Mi from causing any more trouble. No one knew what kind of spell Ding Nuannuan had cast on the entire village, from the elders to the villagers, everyone was praising her.
That wasn’t all, they were all protecting her as if she was the apple of their eyes. If Chen Mi was to go and fight with the Ding family at this juncture, they would only invite trouble.
"That’s right, calm—"
Yu Dong didn’t even get to finish what she was saying when Fang Chi suddenly yelped and covered his mouth in horror.
"What’s wrong?"
"Grandma! My grandma!" Fang Chi gasped with a terrified look on his face. "She has been getting close to Ding Nuannuan as well…"
A bad premonition rose in Yu Dong’s as she stood up from the floor and then rushed to the room where Grandma Fang was sleeping. Just as Fang Chi had guessed, Grandma Fang’s life force was also more than half depleted.
When Fang Chi heard that Grandma Fang’s life was in danger as well, his eyes rolled back and he swayed on the spot before fainting right then and there.
Yu Dong sighed and asked her mer husbands to take Fang Chi to his room.
Ye Liu and Chen Mi brought Fang Chi to his room while Sun Jie fretfully followed them as he was much closer to Fang Chi now that Yu Dong had gone for more than a week.
"Dong Dong…"
"I will go and take a look around the village," said Yu Dong as she knew what Shen Li was going to say. Her eyes flickered. They were alight with a twin pair of flaming fire, the depth of her eyes which were usually filled with the breeze of spring was now replaced with a burning inferno. "Don’t worry. We will set things right if we can, if we cannot then we can just send the troublemaker away."
Shen Li didn’t want such a thing to happen but he didn’t stop Yu Dong as she walked out of the room. Given that the villagers had made him suffer along with the rest — Shen Li was also holding a grudge against them.
