And so does Yuyu’s house above it.

"Noa-san, are you sure you’re not going to regret leaving everything to Yuno-kun this early?" Haru asked carefully. "I have no intention of letting you die, so you shouldn’t have given Yuno-kun everything you own."

"Why are you worried about my finances, Haru-ssi?" Moon Noa asked teasingly. "Do you not like me anymore now that I’m poor?"

"No, of course not," Haru answered bluntly. "I don’t care about your money— the only thing I want is you."

"Aigoo."

"Plus, I’m probably richer than you."

"Excuse me?"

"You’re a chaebol, but I’m a prince. Well, I was dethroned. But I still have access to the Imperial Family’s fortune— fortune the we have accumulated since the Japanese monarchy was established hundreds of years ago."

"Why are you suddenly bragging about your wealth?"

Haru smiled cheekily. "I’m just saying that I can provide a luxurious life for you, Noa-san."

"If I were going to fall for your wealth, I would have fallen for you ages ago."

Haru’s cheeky smile disappeared instantly.

Moon Noa thought his snarky remark had gone too far and was about to apologize, but he stopped abruptly when Haru suddenly grabbed him by the waist.

And the spot where they stood just a few seconds ago?

It was on flames now.

"You didn’t have to attack us, you know?" Moon Noa complained lightly, looking at the person behind the growing flames. "You can tell that we’re here to surrender, can’t you? Ryu Sungbin-ssi?"

Yep, it was his ex-boyfriend.

Ryu Sungbin walked through the flame, causing it to vanish instantly.

"It’s strange to hear you address me properly, Moon Noa."

"Now that I’ve recovered my memories properly, I don’t think it’s still right to act goofy with you. We don’t have that kind of relationship anymore, do we?"

"Let’s stop talking about useless stuff such us our previous relationship," Ryu Sungbin said, glancing at Haru briefly. "Are you going to bring that dethroned prince with you?"

Haru scoffed, but he didn’t say anything.

"Yes," Moon Noa said. "Right now, I only trust Haru-ssi with my life."

"OH, the new chaebol is here."

"Congrats on being a billionaire, Yuno-ya."

"Madam, are you richer than our boss now?"

Aigoo.

Yuno ignored the teasing that he received from his colleagues and friends as soon as he arrived at the conference hall.

I guess everyone is ready to go.

He was talking about Lee Sarang, the Gu Twins, Kang Dabin, Lucci, Kwon Hojun, and Kim Jaeha.

"Gayoon Hyung, is this the team you’re sending away?"

"Yeah," Ki Gayoon answered while nodding. "Lee Sarang will lead the team in charge of looking for the ingredients to complete the cure for the zombies. Once we have the antidote, you wouldn’t have to personally purify the infected humans."

"That’s true, but I still feel bad," Yuno said, looking at Lee Sarang and her team. "You’re going to enter dungeons."

He looked at Kim Jaeha and Kwon Hojun— the youngest team members.

"I’m sorry, kids," Yuno said, his heart heavy. "I don’t want kids to be involved in this mess, but we don’t have a choice. Kwon Hojun, you now own half the Core of Esper Matthew-ssi. Your strength is needed."

"I understand my role, Hyung," Kwon Hojun assured him. "And don’t worry too much. I’m in good company. Plus, I have Jaeha with me."

Kim Jaeha blushed. "Yuno Hyung, I’ll take care of Hojun."

Aigoo.

These kids are already on a first-name basis.

"Sure, the two of you can look after each other," Yuno said, nodding. "But if it gets too much, don’t hesitate to ask for the adults’ help."

Kim Jaeha and Kwon Jaeho answered at the same time. "Yes, Hyung."

Yuno then looked at the team leader. "Sarang Noona, I leave everything in your capable hands."

Lee Sarang smiled and nodded. "I’ll make sure we will all return safely, Yuno-ya."

"YUNO, I heard you need my help?"

"Yes, Jericho Hyung," Yuno said, addressing Jericho in a friendlier manner now. "You’re a member of the Awakened World Organization. Since our country is currently working with your organization, I thought it would make a good look if we work together. And it doesn’t hurt that you’re also an E-Class Guide."

"I understand that," Jericho said, raising an eyebrow. "But do you trust me already?"

"Should I not trust you?"

"What if I betray you? Worse, what if I literally stab you in the back?"

"Jericho Hyung, don’t overestimate my will to live."

It changed when he met Ki Gayoon, but Jericho didn’t need to know that.

Jericho blinked as if he were surprised, and then he burst out laughing. "I won’t betray you, Yuno. I like kids like you with a few loose screws."

"Actions speak louder than words, Hyung."

Once again, Jericho laughed. "So, how can I help you?"

"We’re going to be influencers from now on, Hyung," Yuno said bluntly. "We’ll name our broadcast channel ’HoneyMoon Lovers.’"

I’m HoneyMoon’s heir for a reason.

WHEN Moon Noa opened his eyes, he felt a shiver down his spine.

He didn’t know when Ryu Sungbin knocked him out.

But when he woke up, he found himself in a place similar to the Lab.

That shouldn’t be possible since Ryu Sungbin burned it down the night they raided it.

"Does this place feel familiar to you, Moon Noa?"

Tsk.

Moon Noa wasn’t happy to find Bambi in front of him.

Only the two of them were in that ruined room.

I hope Haru is safe, wherever he is.

"We’ve both lost our memories that night, Moon Noa. But we’ve both retrieved them by now," Bambi said, smiling arrogantly. "How does it feel to be in the same place again? To sacrifice the remaining half of your heart?"

Right.

That was my purpose for coming here.

"Before I answer your question, let me ask you one thing first, Bambam," Moon Noa said, calling Bambi by the childish pet name he gave him because he didn’t want to take this monster seriously. "Did you genuinely love Ryu Sungbin? Even a little?"

"Why does it matter?"

"You answer will determine whether I’ll give up my heart or not easily. We both know that I can fight you if I want to, especially now that the System is protecting me."

"I’m not afraid of you, by I’d prefer it if you don’t act difficult. We can barely contain Haru, after all," Bambi said, scoffing before answering Moon Noa’s question. "Did I love Ryu Sungbin? I don’t know. What even is love? The closest thing to love that I know are my feelings for Gayoon Hyung."

To be honest, Moon Noa expected that answer from Bambi.

Hence...

"That’s the wrong answer, Bambi," Moon Noa said. "You should have said you loved Ryu Sungbin— even if it were a lie."

Because, had Bambi loved Ryu Sungbin, then Moon Noa’s sacrifice a few years ago would have meant more.

He wouldn’t have regretted a thing if it were the case.

But, now, I’m just pissed.
