Greatest Streamer System-Chapter 488 - – Battle Royale is a Strategy Game
With weapons ready and a good position, Max began his rat play. He moved from roof to roof while waiting for a person to arrive.
And that came soon.
'There are two players over there.'
He spotted two shadows moving on the ground. They were moving carefully, hiding behind some vehicle to find their target.
It was the best time to ambush them.
Max switched to his rifle, with suppressor attached, and aimed. He also took out a grenade, ready to use it anytime. Then, he eyed the two players in the distance, waiting for the perfect opportunity to kill them.
'One has a pistol and the other has a rifle. The one with a pistol is on the right while the other one is on the left.'
He thought while looking through the scope. His eyes narrowed as he kept the rifle on the rifle guy,
'If I kill the rifle guy first, the pistol guy would be confused and stop moving. I should kill him when he's still in shock.'
Or he could wait for the other one to get closer.
Max thought of that possibility, but it would be hard to take them down before they began to fire. And if he missed his shot, he would be in trouble as he was too far from them to aim properly.
"I guess I will take the rifle guy down."
He took a deep breath, put the muzzle in his shoulder, and fired.
"Psh!"
A quiet sound of a bullet being fired rang as it was covered by the suppressor.
"?!"
The rifle guy's body staggered backward before he fell with a thud. A dead sign appeared on top of its body. A clean headshot.
'One down.' Max then pointed his gun at the pistol guy who was still shocked. He was so confused that he didn't even notice his partner was killed.
But, that didn't last long.
The pistol guy came back to his sense when the sound of his enemy's body hit the ground. He turned around with his gun raised, and immediately met with a bullet.
"?!"
The enemy's face was covered in blood before his body fell backward with a thud. A pool of blood began to spread around his head.
"Phew..." Max let out a sigh and pulled his gun away. He then jumped on the roof next to him. "Now, where are the others?"
— Two players just like that?
— The old Breeze is back! I was starting to wonder where you are
— There are still more players
— There should be another battle happening right now. I can hear faint gunshots.
"Hmmm..." Max nodded his head as he listened to his chat. "I heard it too. It came from that direction."
He looked at the direction where the sound came from. There were no other players nearby, so he decided to check it out.
He ran on top of a roof and jumped to another while making sure he made as little sound as possible. It would be bad if he alerted other players nearby.
The sound was getting louder the closer he got to the source of it. After some running, he finally saw two people fighting each other.
They were in the middle of a gun battle with a sniper in a building and another one hiding in the alley. Both were exchanging fire while keeping their distance, using a car and a wall as their cover.
'The sniper is hiding behind a wall while the other one is hiding behind the car. They look pretty busy with each other. I might as well take them out.'
Max decided to join the fun.
"Okay, let's kill one of them first. Because I am closer to the sniper, and it's possible to reach that place, I will kill him first."
— 3 floors higher and he said it's possible to reach it.
— Not to mention there is no good cover for him to hide
— Breeze, what if you fall?
"You don't believe in me, huh? I am pretty good at parkour." Max smiled and jumped over a roof, "Alright. I will reach the sniper first, and when I am near enough to get a clear shot, I will kill him."
— That's going to be so cool!
— It's going to be a long fall.
— I wonder how he will die.
"..."
Moving toward the building where the sniper hid, Max jumped on it and began to climb.
He used windows, pipes, and walls as his footing. When he reached the 6th floor where the sniper was, he hid himself from the enemy's sight and checked his gun. He only had a total of 67 ammos left after killing the last two players.
'It should be enough to finish the battle.' He nodded and took out a pistol. 'Now, let's see what I should do here.'
Max peeked through a hole in the wall and looked at the sniper's position. The enemy had his back on him, not noticing his presence at all. He waited for the perfect timing to strike.
The best timing would be when the two players were still busy shooting at each other. They couldn't help but pay attention to their target, which would make them an easy prey for him.
'Okay, now!'
After making sure the timing was right, Max pulled the trigger.
Ratatata!
Psh!
The sniper's head exploded and he fell backward. Blood splattered across the wall and a sign 'Dead' appeared on top of his body. Max immediately checked the body to loot the sniper rifle.
It was a basic one. And from the player's body, he took a grenade and 3 clips of 5 sniper bullets each, totaling to 15.
"A basic sniper rifle with a scope and 15 sniper ammos. There is nothing inside the chamber, as I waited for him to reload earlier. But... I can use this. I have no second weapon in me, anyway. This will do."
After looting the dead sniper, he looked at the player in the alley. The player peeked from his cover to look at the sniper's body. His eyes were filled with confusion, as if he didn't know what to do now.
'Now, should I kill you or...'
Battle royale was a game that could be won solo and without any equipment. It depended on the player's ability and how well they could adapt to the situation.
The next scan was close, so engaging in a battle now would be foolish.
"Let's wait until the scan. There should be another player coming soon." Max said with a smile on his face.
He took out his terminal and waited. Before long, the next scan was started and the minimap appeared. A line passed the map, showing dots of other players.
'There are five of them.'
Max saw five dots near him, three on the right and two on the left. He couldn't see their position because they were too far from him, but he was sure they would move to the city area after the scan.
And to make things even better, all of them were in a place where he could snipe them easily.
"Am I blessed now? Or is my viewers' luck rubbing on me?" He grinned and took out his sniper. "Alright then. I will take them all down. Let's see if I can take first place."
This 𝓬ontent is taken from freeweɓnovel.cѳm.
— Must be our luck rubbing on you
— So this is why I've been unlucky so far. Breeze steals my luck!
— Go go, first place
Max positioned himself behind the wall and checked his gun. He put the scope and positioned the barrel on the wall before peaking through. His finger was on the trigger, ready to fire anytime.
In this situation, he could use Luke's skill, the Bullet Time, to slow down the time around him. Unlike what other people believed that this ability was useful in close combat, this was actually more useful to be used as a sniper.
Usually, a sniper had to think, aim, and fire within 1 or 2 seconds. The more careful a sniper was, the less likely it was for him to get discovered. So, having an ability like this would be a game changer.
He could slow down time for him, aim, and then think of his next move. A simple ability could make him the best player.
From his scope, a player playing as one of the characters with a rifle came to his view. The player had a gun in his hand and was moving around to find other players or just looting.
Max aimed his scope on the player and activated the Bullet Time. Suddenly, the color around him disappeared, leaving only monochrome. He could see the player on his scope moving a bit slower, as if he was watching a video played at 0.5 speed.
"Wooooww... Soooo... Thiissss... Issss... Luuuukkeee's... Aaabbilliittyyy."
Somehow, he talked slower. It was normal, since the ability only increased his perception speed. The technology hadn't advanced enough to make time dilation just for one player, so they used the easiest method available.
— lololol, the way he talked is so funny
— This is why there are not many streamers using Luke as a character. Their words become dragged lol
— What does Breeze look like now? Is he in black and white?
"Yyyyeessss... Thiisss... Issss... Fuunnnyyyy. Iiiii... Caaannnn'ttt... Unnnndderrrrsstaaannnddd... Yyyyouuurrr... Waarrrrds."
The chat was moving so fast for him, so he decided to ignore it and focus.
After a second, Max pulled the trigger, firing a bullet toward the player's head. "Uuugggghhhh..."
Just as the bullet flew, the color returned to him. 5 seconds had passed in his perception, but only 3 seconds actually passed.
And because he calculated it carefully...
Bang!
The bullet flew from the sniper's muzzle pierced the player's head, killing him instantly. A 'Dead' sign appeared on top of the player and his body fell backward.
"Damn. Luke's skill is a scam!"
Ignoring the fact he got another kill, he grunted and pulled the gun back to himself. He immediately moved away from his position. And as soon as he got away from the wall...
Ratatatata!
Gunshots rang. Bullets were shot to the place where he was. It seemed the other players finally noticed his presence.
"Ahahaha! I got spotted! There are two sources of the gunshots, so two people might spot me after I killed that one player." Max laughed as he ran toward the other direction.
— Lolol
— Good luck
— You're so dead.
— Run Breeze! Run!
"We will see about that!"
Max changed the gun from sniper to his rifle, ready for a direct confrontation in case there was a player who entered the building instead of shooting him from outside. He hid behind a desk on the fourth floor, straining his ears to find any sound.
'There is someone entering. Two, I think? Are they working together to take care of the sniper first?'
