Greatest Streamer System-Chapter 485 - – Looting is Life!
First of all, his goal was to get a weapon or a vest to protect himself. Being barehanded in a gun battle was the same as seeking your own death.
The game began with all players entering the map. Each of them landed in different areas and began looking for weapons to survive. These weapons were inside some boxes one could find either in the wild or houses.
However, mostly better boxes would be located inside a large building, so that was what Max was trying to find.
After running for a while, he finally saw a large destroyed building. A broken train was parked there. It was an abandoned train station.
'There should be weapons here.'
Abandoned train stations were usually where he would find weapons. It was common in battle royale games like this.
"Let's see... If I were a weapon box, where would I hide?"
— Nowhere. Box can't move by itself.
— Hahaha.
— Here is a box, Breeze. Take it!
— You won't be able to find it that way lol.
"Yes, it can't move. That's why I am looking for it."
He walked slowly. His eyes swept across the abandoned station, looking for any sign of weapon or the box itself.
"Ah, there it is."
Sitting at the corner of the station was a large box. It was slightly bigger than normal and had a logo of the game.
"This should have some good weapons inside. Let's check it out."
Max walked toward it. As he got closer, the box was covered in light and opened itself.
"Woah! What's that?!"
— Oooh, it opened!
— So cool!
Inside the box, there were 2 weapons and some items. One was a shotgun and another was an assault rifle. Max immediately took both of them and examined it.
"These two look nice." He checked the ammo on the gun, "Okay, they're full. I can fight with these. There is also spare ammo and a backpack. Okay, I am ready."
— 2 weapons in one go is pretty lucky
— You got a full set, huh.
— Out of all weapons, you got a shotgun that suits your playstyle. How lucky.

Max didn't respond to the chat. Instead, he wore the backpack, putting the items inside, and grabbed the gun before walking away. The shotgun was slung over his shoulder while he held the rifle in hand, ready to fire.
"Let's just stay low for now. I need to see the map first."
Max left the train station and found a hill. He decided to go up and see the surroundings. After arriving on top of the hill, he found a place that could be used as a hideout.
"This place should be good enough to use. Now, where are the enemies?"
He checked the minimap once again. It showed him where he was right now and the places that could be used as hiding places. There were 60 other players, so the place would be filled with them soon.
"Okay, the scan should begin soon."
The number on the corner of the screen began to decrease as time passed. It was a timer that counted down when the scan started.
Once the countdown ended, a line appeared on the minimap, moving across the map as if it was scanning the entire area.
"Oh, there are so many players around me." Max frowned when the number of the enemies appeared on the map, especially those close to him. "There are 27 people in the forest and 14 people in the city direction. There are also some here and there, huh?"
He saw a lot of enemies in the minimap, but there were only 40 people.
'Maybe there are other players outside the scan area? The minimap only shows 40 people, after all.'
Or maybe 20 people had been eliminated already.
"Should I go to the enemy's location or should I stay here? I kind of want to kill and loot."
— It's still early for you to fight, Breeze
— Go for the ones in the city. There will be less resistance there
— There are so many enemies in the forest, just run!
— It will be harder for you to win in the forest because you can only use shotgun and assault rifle
— Let's go to the city, Breeze.
"Hmmm... Let's go to the city."
Max looked at the chat before deciding to head to the city. He felt that he could survive better in the city where he could move from roof to roof. Not to mention, there might be better weapons there as well.
"Don't worry guys. From what I see, those in the forests are about to go to the city too. There will be a lot of gunfights there. You can watch it." He chuckled as he walked through the wasteland, "I need to be careful about snipers and spotters though. I need to avoid them at all costs."
He said as he jumped over a pile of rubbles.
Then, he continued toward the city area while keeping himself under everyone's radar, using some destroyed wall to hide from a possible sniper.
And as he reached the entrance of the city...
"Ah, there is a gunfight happening here."
A loud sound of gunfire was heard. A few hundred meters from where he was right now, there were players engaging in a gun battle.
From the sound alone, it seemed like a large fight broke out after the scan finished.
"They are all in the open. It seems no one is using a sniping rifle there."
The battle was being fought in an open field with a destroyed building nearby. Some of them even used a vehicle for cover. Max watched from behind a building, looking around before sneaking toward the battlefield. He climbed one of the destroyed buildings and hid in the dark.
"There are two people out there, one behind a destroyed car and one behind that wall. Their guns... Are rifles, right? I can't see them clearly."
The enemies were in the open. No one noticed him, but it was only a matter of time before someone did. There were two choices that he could choose right now.
Hide or fight.
He made his decision soon as he heard a ding.
[BloodSucker has started a mission.]
[Stream Mission: Fight, coward!]
[Reward: 5,000 diamonds.]
— Oooh! BloodSucker strike again
— lolol, I bet Breeze want to hide but this will stop him
— Fight! Fight! Fight!
— Kyaa! BloodSucker, you know Breeze so well!
— What if he doesn't have any good weapons. Well, I guess Breeze can't run now.
"You little..." He sighed with a smirk on his face and shook his head, "Fine, I am in need of better weapons and ammos anyway. Let me kill them real quick."
Having said that, he began to climb the destroyed house he was in. He ran on the wall and jumped to a window before climbing up to the roof.
There was an open rooftop. It looked as if it was destroyed by something and the floor was cracked.
'Perfect.'
He moved toward the edge of the roof and leaned down, looking at the ground and saw one of the enemies. He was hiding behind a wall, reloading an assault rifle while checking the other enemy's location.
Max looked around and found that the one fighting the guy was slowly approaching where he hid. It seemed he was about to be found and targeted.
He checked his weapons and made a plan.
"This is going to be a quick and simple fight. Alright, here we go."
Max jumped down from the roof while pulling the trigger. The shotgun fired and hit the enemy, destroying his vest before killing him.
"Eh?!"
The other guy couldn't believe what happened.
He was so close to finding and killing his enemy and out of the blue, a person came falling from the sky and shot his opponent.
Following that, Max rolled on the ground and quickly rushed toward the confused opponent. He gave the guy no time to react and raised his shotgun.
"Bam!"
Another shot was fired, destroying his vest before his head exploded into bits of meat.
"Phew."
[Mission completed!]
[5,000 diamonds have been donated!]
He sighed as he turned his shotgun around. The smoking end was pointed down and he slung it over his shoulder.
"Alright, there should be more players coming soon. I should loot them before another player arrives."
With that, Max crouched near the two corpses and began to loot their bodies.
— Amazing.
— That movement was just... *ChefKISS
— No one expected that.
— lolol the opponent's face when he dropped from the sky!
— He's not a god but he dropped from the sky lolol
"Hmmm. There's only some assault rifle ammo and 3 bandages I can take from these guys. But this guy's rifle is better than mine, I guess I will swap it."
Max changed his rifle with the enemy's and wore his new vest on top of the old one. He found that the vest had more defense than the default one he wore even though it was damaged.
After looting everything, he moved away from the bodies and hid in the abandoned building to the side, waiting for any incoming enemies.
And he waited.
And waited.
5 minutes had passed without him seeing anyone.
"The scan will start again." He took out the terminal and checked the minimap. "I wonder how many players are left?"
The scan started again.
The number of enemies around him was getting smaller and smaller. It seemed a lot of people died and there were only around 20 players left in the map.
Ignoring the players away from him, he began to search for those that appeared close to his location.
"Let's see... There are 3 people in the city area. The others are in the wasteland, forests, and... what is this? A lone player is in the middle of the map, huh? What's he doing there?"
It was weird. But not important.
What he should focus on was the players around his area. They probably noticed his presence too but couldn't pinpoint where he was because he was hiding.
"There might be a sniper among them. From the location shown, one of them was in a tall building over there. Another one is on the street while another one... is in the building opposite to where I am hiding. Shit."
Unlucky. He had to move stealthily, which meant he couldn't use his shotgun.
He didn't have any silencer, so the gun would make a lot of noise that would attract the other players, including the sniper.
"Well, let's just play safe."
He kept the shotgun on his back and switched to his assault rifle, which he took from the first guy he killed.
Max walked through the dark abandoned building. He went to the nearest window on the top floor without being seen and waited like a predator.
"Now... Who will die first?"
He stared at the minimap intently, waiting for any change on it.
And then, he heard gunshots from the location near him.
"The battle began?"
A smile bloomed on his face.
"Alright then. Let me kill some more."
