Streamer Wars was approaching.

24th of July, Max and Lily returned to Lime City. Both of them were happy, excited, and nervous about the upcoming event. It was an event that brought out many streamers who would show who was the best streamer, technically, among the newbies.

The vote was opened today. And that made him jittery all day, unable to stay still.

Lily took his hand and held it. The question and the warmth from her hands were enough to calm him down.

"Yes." Max smiled and nodded. "I have shared Streamer Wars' post in my Strike and ask my followers to vote for me. What about you?"

Max couldn't help but stare at Lily in a daze. She smiled at him innocently and he could only sigh in the end.

The scenery outside the Sky Rail window changed quickly. The city buildings became shorter and shorter until it disappeared altogether. Instead, the sight of a wide plain replaced them, stretching to the horizon.

They were leaving Eden City again, returning to their hometown, Lime City.

Because they wanted to avoid other people, they took the private room for VIP. It cost a lot, but StoneSword paid for it all. Max was grateful for his consideration. He could just pay it himself. Right now, he had a lot of money.

However, StoneSworrd refused, saying it was his responsibility to let Lily rest easy on their way home.

Nuzzling her nose against his neck, she inhaled deeply and snuggled closer to him.

Actually, he had a rather rare feeling since he knew she was sick. He was... afraid. Scared of losing her. Every time he spent time with her, he never got a moment of peace. "We both know how to cook and do other fun stuff like baking, puzzles, and painting. Why don't we try streaming it while doing them? And we can even add an extra spice to make it like a competition."

He nodded, thinking the idea was not that bad. Actually, it was a pretty good one.

Until the new VR Capsule came, they couldn't play games a lot. Doing an IRL stream together might be fun.

And from the reality show, Couple Paradise Island they joined early this month, he knew his viewers wanted more content similar to that. They wanted to see them doing something together, having fun, and sometimes argue or bicker.

It was a perfect opportunity for them to interact with each other while playing a game.

Preparations began right after they arrived home. It was still afternoon, so they had plenty of time for streaming.

The IRL stream preparation was easy. Max always had his camera and wireless microphone ready with full battery. No one knew when he decided he would do a guerilla stream like now.

Because it was an unplanned date, he chose to wear his black t-shirt, blue jeans, and a pair of sneakers. Lily chose her simple white T-shirt and blue jeans, which looked good with her figure.

"This is exciting."

She chuckled lightly and leaned against his arm, staring at the hologram screen in the air and seeing their own reflection.

Right now, they were in the park where they usually met and jogged together before, sitting on the bench while preparing their stream.

It was a perfect spot to start their date. They could see people running around, children playing around, couples walking while holding hands, and other stuff they could do.

"Yes. Very exciting."

He laughed, smiling as his eyes stared at the screen. He was doing the last check for his stream. The title was ready, and the description was ready. The tags were set correctly. Everything was ready.

"Alright, are you ready?"

"Yes."

"Okay. Here we go."

Max pressed the 'Start Stream' button.

A beep sound resounded in their ears and a video began to appear on their stream.

"Good afternoon, everyone." He smiled at the camera. "Breeze here. As you can see, I am in the park. And I have a special guest."

The camera moved slightly, showing Lily leaning on his arm.

"Good afternoon."

She greeted the audience. Her face was close to the camera, looking very cute and innocent.

When she waved her hand shyly, the chat immediately broke down.

They left the bench and entered the park with the camera following them. People recognized them. Most of them were his fans, and some others were Lily's fans. They asked to take picture with them, which he happily agreed to.

After walking for a while, Lily suddenly stopped and looked at a certain place. Max followed her gaze and saw a stand selling ice cream.

"Ice cream?" He asked.

With his hand holding hers, Max walked to the ice cream stand.

The clerk was a young girl. She seemed to recognize them and became nervous upon seeing him.

The clerk turned around to grab some ice cream. However, her hands trembled and she dropped the cone in her hand.

With a good reflex, Max quickly caught the ice cream before it fell on the ground. His movement was quick and smooth, like an athlete.

"Phew. Safe!

He sighed in relief and looked up.

"I will take this one. Thank you."

The chat reacted to his speed. No one expected him to be able to catch a falling ice cream cone with his bare hand. It was something impossible unless your reflex was honed.

A sweet and cold ice cream in a hot day was truly a refreshing experience. Nothing beat the sensation of eating an ice cream in a hot day, especially in this hot weather.

As they were about to leave, the chat suddenly sent a notification.

Max quickly moved his eyes to the holographic screen. Right at the corner of the screen, the news stream was playing the newest update about Streamer Wars.

Lily moved her gaze to the corner of the screen. She saw the news stream showing the top nominees for Streamer Wars.

And as they waited, a name popped out from the list.

The chat exploded into celebration and praises. His name was included in the top three of all categories he was nominated for.

Even he couldn't believe what he saw. His heart was filled with elation and excitement. He looked at Lily and smiled, hugging her tightly in happiness.

"I am in the top 3 in all of them! I actually made it, Lily."

Lily smiled happily and nodded her head. Her face was filled with a blissful smile.

"I am happy for you." She raised her ice cream and pointed at the screen, "Let's eat more ice cream to celebrate!"
