Greatest Streamer System-Chapter 357 - – Miraculous Luck Strike Once Again
"A-Anyway, let's meet here in 30 minutes. We have to build a shelter before it gets dark." He continued, hiding his embarrassment from showing the tsundere display earlier. Thankfully, the chat just laughed him off, and Lily didn't really think of anything about it.
"Un. Got it!" Lily exclaimed, pumping her fists in front of her chest. "Good luck."
"You too."
With that, they went to their respective area to find loot. They only returned 30 minutes later, as promised, and showed what they managed to gather to each other.
And the loot was...
Lily's Loot:
Scraps: 5
Woods: 10
Planks: 19
Bread: 3
Water: 2
.99 mm bullets: 60 / 5 full mags
1x Flashlight
1x Handgun
Max's Loot:
Scraps: 27
Herbs: 2
Antidote: 1
Woods: 1
Planks: 1
1x Old Gloves
Both of them laid their loot on the ground and looked at each other. Lily smiled wryly and raised her fist.
"Don't mind."
"Just kill me! Bury me! Burn me!"
"It's okay."
Max oddly felt embarrassed with what he brought back. In terms of quantity, he brought a lot more than Lily. However, the majority of what he found was Scraps, which wasn't that useful in the early game unless he could scam the Merchant.
Miraculously, both of them didn't find any Infected, although they also didn't find a heavy loot area.
— At this point, Breeze's luck is legendary
— I don't understand. In other games, he's really lucky. But in V-Shelter, his luck is… Well, unfortunate.
— Ding! You have gained a new title: Scraps Collector, Breeze!
— Should I laugh? Hey, am I allowed to laugh?
— Even LilyPixel tried to console him. She patted his head like a kid.
Right, Lily felt bad for bringing good materials while Max only had Scraps. She patted his head and stroked it softly, trying to calm him down.
"Don't feel down. Look, you bring herbs and an antidote. Those are useful, no? The Old Gloves can be useful for defending against zombies too!"
Max regressed like a child. Usually, he would be happy. But now he only felt bad when he heard the encouraging words. He was disappointed in himself… At his luck.
'I fail to look cool in front of her.' He thought.
"You can stop now, Lily."
"Oh, okay." She sounded a little bit disappointed as she pulled her hand away. "Do you feel better?"
"Yeah, thanks." He smiled at her and patted her head back. "Payback."
"Ugh, stop it." Lily grabbed his hand and looked upward. "Many people are watching. It's embarrassing."
"Is it embarrassing? Now you feel how I felt when you patted my head earlier."
"Sorry…" Her eyes were downcast, she felt guilty. "But you looked pretty down, so I want to make you feel better."
"I know." Max pulled his hand away and looked at their loots. "We have more than enough material to build Level 1 shelter. Should we do it now? I think putting it near that wall is perfect. We have an extra defense against zombies attack with that."
Recovering from her embarrassment, Lily nodded and they began to tidy the loot. Following that, they built the shelter. It was a simple process. By clicking a menu, the shelter was built. Even so, they enjoyed the process of watching it getting finished.
Meanwhile, the chat was infected by something.
— Too much sugar! Ah, I think I have diabetes! I need to scan my body!
— Scan me too, dude! My mouth feels really sweet since earlier. What is this? Am I sick?
— Caution: Too much sugar in the content
— Kyaa! They are so cute together. The fact Breeze can get embarrassed and want to pay back is so cute!
— Beware, there is too much sweetness. Infection is bound to happen. Maidenless Club is suggested not to watch
— Too late… The Maidenless Club has got the damage. Dammit! He laid traps in places we never expected him to.
The situation wasn't much different in Lily's livestream. They teased her and encouraged her to do more cute things with Max, which made her get embarrassed once more. The chat truly couldn't chill when they found something interesting.
The base was soon finished and both of them entered. At that moment, he remembered that they needed another bed for them to pass the night.
Making it was simple, as it was made from Wood only. It was quickly finished and another bed appeared next to the original one inside the base.
At that moment, night had arrived. The sky turned dark and zombies' growl could be faintly heard in the distance. Max looked at Lily and suggested.
"Shall we skip the first night?"
"Un."
They decided to sleep and skipped the night. Max's vision went dark before he could see again. Today was the deciding day. They had, no matter what, to find weapons and possibly level up the shelter to Level 2.
"Now, then… Ugh…" Stretching his arms up as if he was just waking up in the real world, Max walked out of the shelter. "Let's move together this time. We might meet with an Infected this time, so it's safer that way. Besides, we're not pressed by time anymore with a shelter."
"Is it fun hunting time?" Lily asked, tilting her head to the left.
"That's right." He nodded, grinning. "You can use the handgun, Lily. My knife will be enough for now. But if we find a Crawler, we will run. Turret is a bit manageable because I know its weakness. And no matter what, don't get close to Screamer!"
"Ah, the Infected you used to kill us all." She exclaimed in realization with a bright face. "That scared me."
"Haha-ha… I meant, I wanted to get back to Flexy and did it. Sorry that it scared you."
"Hnn, it's okay." She shook her head. "That was fun."
— Ah, Screamer. Good old villainous Breeze days.
— I remember that good, old day. I hope I can watch more Breeze and friends play
— More multiplayer games would be good
— Screamer is nasty… Please don't approach Screamer for god's sake
— Come to think of it, LilyPixel showed crazy movement when she was cornered lol
— I remember she fell from the building and decimated the zombies and Infected a floor below. freeωebnovēl.c૦m
That was indeed incredible. Max remembered standing on top of the Hunched Giant while watching it. Come to think of it…
'The Hunched Giant won't appear before the 10th day along with stronger Infected. We have to upgrade our shelter to Level 5 and have at least a material sniper rifle before that to kill it.'
Naturally, it was a thought for the future. Day 10 is equal to 10 hours of gameplay or more. They had plenty of time to prepare.
Looking around, Max pointed in a certain direction and spoke.
"Let's head to that direction where we hadn't checked yet. Let's hope there will be a warehouse with many weapons there."
"Un. I didn't find any warehouse in the direction I went to earlier."
"Me either. It's filled with residential areas, hence the Scraps. It will be good if we can locate the Merchant too. Even if he always scams his customers, he will be a big help to secure weapons. Watch out for the 'Shop' neon sign. You won't miss it."
"Got it! I will also cover you." She exclaimed.
And thus, their real survival date began. With a more surprising element than they had never expected.
