Great Villain: Starting by Humiliating the Son of the Heavenly Fate-Chapter 349: Stealing the Spotlight Again
Lu Yang’s eyes flickered as he sent a message through divine sense to the cultivators around him. "Brothers, I know many of you despise Mo Hao—hate him to your very core."
"But now isn’t the time to deal with him. You all understand our situation, don’t you?"
A silent pause, then nods of agreement.
"Yeah, we get it," someone murmured cautiously.
"We’re here to scout the terrain for the young masters of the Sun Clan."
"If we make it through this mission, we’ll gather valuable intel about the Immortal Martial Continent—intel that’ll be priceless to them."
"Those young masters didn’t come here just to play around. They’re here to build their names, rack up achievements that’ll boost their future status."
"If we help them succeed, we won’t be stuck on this cursed continent forever. We’ll go back to the Prosperous Stone Immortal Star, where real luxury awaits."
"As for Mo Hao, there’s no need to take him out yet. Let’s play nice until the Sun Clan’s young masters arrive. Then, we’ll see what happens."
The cultivators from the Prosperous Stone Immortal Star quickly exchanged glances, murmuring in agreement.
And just like that, they stepped forward.
"Ah, so it really is Young Master Mo!"
"Survived against all odds, haven’t you? Just like your father—strong bloodline and all. Gotta say, I respect that!"
"Listen, we’re here for two reasons. First, to relieve you of duty. Second, to confirm the intel you’ve gathered. If your information checks out, you’ll earn a trip back to the Prosperous Stone Immortal Star."
"Exactly, Young Master Mo. If you’ve got solid details, hand them over for verification. Once we confirm everything, your return is guaranteed."
Lu Yang and the other Transcendence realm cultivators spoke one after another, their faces serious, their words smooth and reassuring.
But Mo Hao wasn’t stupid. He knew danger lurked in every direction, especially with these guys around. Trusting them completely? Not a chance.
Before he could say a word, Jiang Chen stepped in.
"Yes, we have the intel," he announced, cutting Mo Hao off. "But this isn’t something we can just hand over to anyone. I’ll be delivering it myself to the Prosperous Stone Immortal Star."

If Mo Hao wanted to show off, Jiang Chen would outshine him first—leaving him no room for his usual theatrics!
Mo Hao blinked, momentarily speechless. Wait a minute… wasn’t that exactly what I was about to say?
He turned to Jiang Chen with a mix of shock and irritation—mostly irritation. Seven parts annoyance, three parts disbelief.
Meanwhile, Lu Yang and the others exchanged glances, whispering among themselves.
"Who is this guy?"
"He wasn’t part of the first wave of Transcendence realm cultivators we sent down."
"Could he be a leftover Transcendence realm cultivator from the Immortal Martial Continent?"
"No way! This place isn’t capable of producing someone at that level."
"Still… he’s clearly Transcendence realm. And judging by his fancy robes, he’s been in a position of power for a while."
"Doesn’t matter. He’s siding with Mo Hao. Let’s move forward as planned."
After a quick, silent agreement, the group turned their attention back to Jiang Chen.
"You there!" one of them called out. "Do you take us for nobodies? We were sent here to retrieve that information. So let’s not waste time—hand it over."
"Mo Hao, you know how important this information is. The longer you stall, the more your contributions lose value. Just give it to us already."
"Skipping protocol and heading straight back to the Prosperous Stone Immortal Star? Not happening. The intel has to be verified first. You do understand that, don’t you, Mo Hao?"
"Seems to me like someone really doesn’t want Mo Hao going home. Pretty suspicious, don’t you think?"
Lu Yang and the others fired off their words one after another, trying to drive a wedge between Jiang Chen and Mo Hao.
Mo Hao sneered inside, already piecing together a sharp comeback.
But before their words could fully settle—and before Mo Hao could even open his mouth—Jiang Chen beat him to it. Again.
"Hahaha!" Jiang Chen suddenly burst into laughter, tilting his head back like he had just heard the funniest joke in the world. Then, with sharp eyes, he snapped his gaze back to them.
"You really think we’re that stupid?" he scoffed. "A bunch of schemers like you, trying to trick us into handing over the intel? Keep dreaming!"
Then, turning to Mo Hao, he spoke in a low, serious voice.
"Don’t fall for their games, Mo Hao. They’re just looking to cheat you out of your hard-earned information!"
"I…" Mo Hao started, his head bobbing slightly in confusion. Inside, his emotions clashed like a storm.
Damn it! He had already crafted the perfect comeback to shut Lu Yang and his group down, but Jiang Chen had beaten him to it again! Worse, he had said almost exactly what Mo Hao had been about to say!
For a brief moment, Mo Hao just stood there, stunned, his expression darkening.
"Who do you think you are?" one of the opposing cultivators snapped, his voice dripping with disdain.
"Just some nobody from the Immortal Martial Continent? Do you even understand the status of the Prosperous Stone Immortal Star? And yet you dare speak so boldly?"
"Mo Hao, don’t listen to him! Just hand over the information already!"
Lu Yang and his group were fuming, their glares sharp enough to kill. If looks could tear a man apart, Jiang Chen would’ve been shredded on the spot.
"Hmph!" Mo Hao finally snapped out of his daze, seizing the moment. He scoffed, straightened his back, and prepared to fire back with his own sharp words.
But before he could get a single syllable out—
Jiang Chen spoke first. Again. And this time, even faster!
"Don’t fall for it, Mo Hao!" Jiang Chen suddenly clapped Mo Hao on the shoulder, his voice rising with intensity. "These scumbags are liars! The second they get their hands on that intel, they’ll run straight back to the Prosperous Stone Immortal Star and leave you behind!"
His eyes burned with fury.
"I’ve had enough of these scheming bastards—I’m killing them!"
Without another word, he launched himself straight at Lu Yang and his crew.
"Jiang Chen, what the hell are you doing?! Stop! Wait!" Mo Hao yelled, completely caught off guard. These guys were supposed to be his audience! He wasn’t done showing off yet! If they all died here, who was he supposed to impress?!
Jiang Chen didn’t even glance back. "Step aside if you’re scared, Mo Hao!" he roared. "I’m wiping these bastards out!"
With a burst of raw power, he charged into the crowd—without hesitation, without mercy. A violent force erupted from him, sending Mo Hao flying backward.

"DAAAMN IT, JIANG CHEN, YOU—!"
Mo Hao gritted his teeth, ready to jump in and turn this mess into an opportunity.
But before he could even react—
BOOM!
A massive force slammed into him. His body jerked violently, completely unprepared for the impact.
Next thing he knew—
He was flying through the air.
WHAT THE HELL?! Mo Hao’s mind screamed as he tumbled, his frustration nearly making him rip his own hair out.
Meanwhile, chaos erupted on the battlefield.
"What?!" someone shouted in disbelief.
"This nobody dares to attack us? He must have a death wish!"
"Brothers, let’s kill this arrogant fool!"
"A mere Early-stage Transcendence realm cultivator? He’s dead meat!"
Lu Yang and his crew sneered at Jiang Chen, their eyes filled with contempt. Without hesitation, five Transcendence realm cultivators moved in, preparing to reduce him to dust.
But just as they were about to strike—
BOOM!
A deafening explosion rang out as an overwhelming aura erupted from Jiang Chen, crashing down on everyone like a tidal wave.
Blood sprayed into the air.
Ptui! Ptui! Ptui!
One by one, the cultivators in the Dao Comprehension and Dao Palace realms coughed up blood, their bodies crumpling like deflated sacks.
Lu Yang and the others froze. Their faces paled. Their minds went blank.
What… what kind of power is this?!
Then—
Swish!
A blinding sword light sliced through the sky, stretching across a hundred miles. In an instant, Lu Yang and the four other Transcendence realm cultivators were completely enveloped in its deadly glow!
