The little monkey did not know that Sun Wukong had overheard his conversation with the Island Turtle. Seeing that Sun Wukong didn't say much before climbing onto the skull of the Saint Armor Turtle, the little monkey too, refrained from speaking further. The two of them, no, it should be said, the two monkeys, each harbored their thoughts in silence, with only the rumbling of the blood waves and the swimming sounds of the Saint Armor Turtle audible. What the little monkey was pondering, Sun Wukong did not know; however, his own mind was indeed in some disarray at the moment. On the one hand, Sun Wukong was frantically searching his memory, trying to recall who had placed a seal on his Heaven and Earth Fire Eyes and when. On the other hand, he was contemplating the implications behind the words exchanged between the little monkey and the Blood Island Turtle.

Initially, Sun Wukong thought the little monkey had brought him to the Strange Island purely in gratitude for the elixirs he had given him, but now it seemed that was not the case. Perhaps without the lure of his original offer, the little monkey still would have taken him to Strange Island, albeit possibly under some other pretext. Another point was that the little monkey's mention of the appointed day seemed to Sun Wukong not so straightforward. It felt as though the other party might be hinting at something but feared that he would actually understand; it was a contradictory behavior.

The little monkey surely knew many things. If he truly didn't want Sun Wukong to know, he could have easily remained silent. There was no need to bring up the appointed time more than once. Previously, Sun Wukong hadn't had the time to think about it thoroughly, but reflecting on it now, the little monkey's words seemed to still be conveying to Sun Wukong that only those who entered the Fallen Tomb on the appointed day were normal, and those who did not come at the planned time, like him, were abnormal. As for these abnormal people, a series of trials would be necessary. Though the purpose was unclear to Sun Wukong, he guessed that was probably the situation. The Island Turtle was the first trial, which he had passed, and then received the cloak behind him.

He was likely right in his conjecture. The little monkey was now leading him to the second trial, and if Sun Wukong passed successfully once more, he would probably receive something else. It seemed, this was akin to a senior recognizing a junior's potential to be taken on as a disciple but not knowing the junior's character and conduct; thus, conducting a series of trials and, to boost the junior's motivation, offering a reward upon completing each trial. Moreover, the junior would not be made aware that he was under a trial, so as to maximize the exhibition of his abilities. Sun Wukong was now in such a situation, with the exception that this was not about being accepted as a disciple, but for some other reason.

Regardless of the reason behind the little monkey's actions, Sun Wukong's response was just one: to cooperate. No matter what schemes or tricks, once you find yourself entangled in them, escaping is extremely difficult since the schemer would not let you get away easily. Hence, Sun Wukong's approach was to clash with the scheme to the very end to see what it was in its entirety. This was Sun Wukong's way of doing things, as well as his character—a kind of unyielding and fearless royal demeanor that few possess. Just like the Rogue Heart Sword Hero, he was now striving toward that direction.

"How much longer until we arrive?" Having thought through these matters, Sun Wukong asked the little monkey. Without turning his head, the little monkey replied while sitting cross-legged on the head of the Saint Armor Turtle, "Two days and one night." Sun Wukong could tell that the little monkey seemed not very willing to talk with him, and naturally, he would not bother the little monkey unnecessarily. His Divine Sense slowly spread out as Sun Wukong began to scout the endless Blood Sea. Upon entering the Blood Sea, Sun Wukong felt a not insignificant resistance, but it was not enough to halt his Divine Consciousness Scouting. However, after a round of scouting, he did not find anything.

Reluctant to give up like this, since such a vast Blood Sea surely couldn't contain nothing at all, Sun Wukong continued to exert his Divine Sense, scouting towards the bottom of the Blood Sea. The deeper he went, the stronger the resistance he met, and after extending downwards for over thirty thousand meters, Sun Wukong finally discovered something out of the ordinary. It was a gigantic corpse; what exactly the corpse was Sun Wukong could not discern at that moment, but one thing was certain—it was exceedingly large, for Sun Wukong's Divine Sense couldn't thoroughly scan it.

As the Saint Armor Turtle continued to swim, Sun Wukong's Divine Sense also began to scan the giant corpse along with the turtle's movement. And sure enough, what lay at the bottom of the Blood Sea were corpses, not like the skeletons Sun Wukong had seen before. The scan lasted for three Chinese Hours, and Sun Wukong's Divine Sense grew weary. Finally, just when Sun Wukong was about to give up, he suddenly spotted the head of the massive corpse within his Divine Sense—a Kirin's head. Furthermore, the head shone brightly, unlike the rest of the body, looking like a star of purple gold. Sun Wukong was quite astonished, for he had seen such a Kirin before, back when he was battling in the Patrolling Celestial World. Ling Weiyang had once transformed into a Purple Gold Kirin, and at that time, Ling Weiyang's Kirin head looked very similar to this one.

Just as Sun Wukong was about to continue his scouting, the little monkey, who had been mostly silent up front, suddenly said, "This place is somewhat special; don't use your Divine Sense to scout recklessly, or you'll get into big trouble." As soon as the little monkey finished speaking, Sun Wukong felt a sense of foreboding and quickly asked, "Why? Why can't I use Divine Sense to scout? What if I do?" The little monkey turned around, his expression grave, and looked at Sun Wukong, "At the bottom of this sea, there's a formidable creature. If your Divine Sense awakens it, our chances of leaving alive are not great."

Sun Wukong suddenly felt cold sweat breaking out on his back and asked with some uncertainty, "The big fellow you mentioned, is it a creature with a massive body and a purple gold head?" The little monkey was startled at first, then his expression changed drastically. Without answering Sun Wukong, he slapped the Saint Armor Turtle's head hard and shouted, "Little turtle, run, run!" Although the Saint Armor Turtle's speed was not slow to begin with, after being slapped by the little monkey, its speed suddenly increased dramatically, as if it were an arrow shot from a bow, more than doubling in speed.

But just as they had darted out for no more than three breaths, the entire sea surface still turned turbulent and started boiling at a terrifying speed, as if the Blood Sea were suddenly boiled water. The little monkey, while tightly clinging to the neck of the Saint Armor Turtle, shouted angrily, "You damned creature, you're really going to get me killed. If you've lived long enough, you can jump in by yourself, but don't drag me down with you! I can't die yet!" By then, the entire Blood Sea seemed as if it were about to tip over completely, with the earth shaking and the mountains moving. The surging Blood Sea waters had already stained Sun Wukong and the little monkey blood-red.

Sun Wukong also knew that he had caused a great disaster, and therefore didn't dare to talk back, just clung desperately to the tortoise shell of the Saint Armor Turtle, feeling very embarrassed. But soon, Sun Wukong realized something was wrong. The Blood Sea waters rushing onto his body contained an extremely furious emotion; or rather, it would be more accurate to say that the waters held countless vengeful spirits. Once the sea water washed over Sun Wukong's body, all the vengeful spirits latched onto him and began burrowing into his body. At first, Sun Wukong didn't notice, until one of the vengeful spirits penetrated his body and began devouring his flesh, Sun Wukong suddenly became aware and was immediately shocked.

His physical body was not ordinarily strong. But these vengeful spirits still managed to penetrate into his body, which was a testament to their terror. Sun Wukong quickly circulated the Five Elements Power within him. The Five Elements nourished one another and he refined all the vengeful spirits that had entered his body. At this moment, Sun Wukong saw the little monkey, who was originally lying on the Saint Armor Turtle's neck, slowly slipping off. Sun Wukong promptly extended his hand, and Three Thousand Desolate Sands formed from his hand into a sandy arm that caught the little monkey in front of him. Sun Wukong then summoned the World Suppressing Stele and placed it on the back of the Saint Armor Turtle's shell. He then covered the entire turtle shell with both Three Thousand Desolate Sands and Three Thousand Barren Soil, creating an oval egg-like space.

Inside the space it was naturally pitch black, but no more sea water was falling. If Sun Wukong and the little monkey were in a boat, it would certainly have capsized by now. However, they were on the back of the Saint Armor Turtle, and although the entire Blood Sea was boiling, the Saint Armor Turtle still swam at a high speed, consistently maintaining its shell-up posture. Sun Wukong secretly rejoiced, thankful that they were not on a boat.

In this space formed by sand, Sun Wukong couldn't see the outside. He had long since withdrawn his Divine Sense and dared not use it to scout again, only hoping the Saint Armor Turtle knew the way and could lead them out. Amid the violent jolting, Sun Wukong's heart was also uneasy. From his earlier Divine Consciousness scouting, he discovered that the gigantic body was not entirely dead. It should be an immensely large Kirin, a Purple Gold Kirin like Ling Weiyang. However, all of the Kirin's Life Force had concentrated in the head; its body had died, leaving only its head alive. When that Kirin felt his Divine Sense, its mountain-sized eyes suddenly opened, and Sun Wukong's Divine Sense was immediately injured. Then the entire Blood Sea boiled.

Sun Wukong was now enduring the pain; otherwise, he would have collapsed. Just one glance had caused him such severe injury; what was the cultivation of this Purple Gold Kirin? Was it truly horrifying, possibly surpassing the Heavenly Venerate's Peak? What cultivation level could that be? Just as Sun Wukong was inwardly shocked, he suddenly noticed the blood on his body was slowly disappearing.

"How strange, how can the Blood Sea water move on its own? Could it be, the sea water is alive?"

But Sun Wukong quickly realized that, of course, the sea water couldn't be alive. The reason the Blood Sea water was moving by itself was entirely because of the cloak on his back. His cloak was actually absorbing the blood water. Sun Wukong could see that one corner of the entire cloak had already turned blood-red!
